One week later....

The campus buzzed with excitement as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the festivities. String lights twinkled overhead, weaving through the trees and illuminating the pathways with a soft, golden glow. Colorful banners fluttered in the gentle breeze, adorned with congratulatory messages and images of graduation caps and diplomas.

Tables were draped in elegant white cloths and adorned with vibrant floral centerpieces, adding a touch of sophistication to the outdoor setting. Students and teachers mingled together, dressed in their finest attire, their faces alive with anticipation and joy.

In one corner of the campus, a stage had been set up, adorned with festive decorations and a backdrop of shimmering stars. A podium stood at the center, ready to welcome the speakers who would impart words of wisdom and encouragement to the graduating class.

Nearby, a dance floor had been laid out, its surface gleaming under the soft glow of the moonlight. Music filled the air, its upbeat rhythms inviting guests to join in the celebration and dance the night away.

As the evening wore on, laughter and chatter filled the air, echoing through the campus and creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. It was a night to remember, a celebration of achievements and new beginnings, as the graduating class prepared to embark on the next chapter of their lives.

Yunho: "Wooyoung, come on! Everyone's been waiting for you at the party for ages. Why aren't you here yet?"

Wooyoung: "Relax, Yunho. I'm just finishing up packing my suitcase. I leave in a week, and I want to get everything sorted before then."

Yunho: "You can do that later! Just come to the party now. It won't be the same without you."

Wooyoung: "I know, I know. I'm almost done, I promise. Just give me a few more minutes."

Yunho: "Hurry up, Wooyoung. We're all waiting for you."

Wooyoung: "Okay, okay. I'm on my way now. See you soon!"

Yunho: "Finally! See you at the party."

Wooyoung: "Yeah, see you there!"

After a while, Wooyoung arrived at the campus, awestruck by the magnificence of the place. The place that once looked like hell, was looking beyond beautiful today. Wooyoung was engulfed in a bear hug by the one and only, Jeong Yunho.

Yunho: "Wooyoung, you made it! Finally, the graduation party is here!"

Wooyoung: "Yeah, it looks amazing. I'm glad I came."

Yunho: "Come on, let me introduce you to my parents."

Yunho leads Wooyoung through the crowd to where his parents are.

Yunho: "Mom, Dad, this is my friend Wooyoung. We've been through everything together. He is literally my significant other at this point."

Wooyoung: "Hello, it's nice to meet you."

Yunho's Mom: "Oh, it's wonderful to finally meet you, Wooyoung. Yunho has told us so much about you."

Yunho's Dad: "Yes, indeed. We're so glad you could join us for the party."

Wooyoung: "Thank you for having me. Yunho's been a great friend to me too."

Yunho: "Come on, let's enjoy the party!"

They all share a warm smile before heading off to celebrate.

The host takes the stage, the lights dimming as the crowd's attention shifts towards the front.

Host: "Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed faculty members, and beloved graduates, welcome to our annual graduation party! Tonight, we celebrate the achievements of our students and bid farewell to another successful academic year. But before we begin, let's take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our graduates."

The audience erupts into applause as the graduates stand up, smiles lighting up their faces.

Host: "Throughout their time here, these graduates have shown resilience, creativity, and determination. They've overcome challenges, forged lifelong friendships, and grown into remarkable individuals ready to take on the world."

Cheers and applause fill the air as the graduates exchange proud glances and hugs.

Host: "Tonight, let's raise a glass to our graduates, to their bright futures, and to the memories they've created here at our university. Now, let the festivities begin!"

With that, the music starts, and the party kicks into full swing. Laughter, chatter, and the sound of clinking glasses fill the air as everyone joins in the celebration.

Suddenly, Wooyoung's phone vibrated in his pocket, he hesitated for a moment before retrieving it, his heart pounding with anticipation. With a quick glance at the caller ID, his breath caught in his throat, and his expression turned pale.

It was his mother.

Suddenly, the vibrant atmosphere of the party faded into the background as Wooyoung's mind raced with worry and fear. Hastily excusing himself from the conversation, he stepped away from the crowd to answer the call, his hands trembling slightly as he brought the phone to his ear.

As Wooyoung answered the call, his mother's voice sounded tense, and he could sense an underlying urgency in her tone. With each word she spoke, his heart sank lower and lower, until it felt like it had plummeted straight into the pit of his stomach.

His breath caught in his throat as he listened, his mind racing with a thousand terrifying possibilities. What could his mother be telling him that would cause such a reaction? His palms grew clammy, and his thoughts became a jumbled mess of fear and confusion.

As the conversation unfolded, Wooyoung's face grew increasingly pale, his features contorted with shock and disbelief. His breaths came in uneven gasps, and he struggled to maintain his composure in the face of the earth-shattering news his mother had just delivered.

The world around him seemed to blur as he tried to process the gravity of what he had just heard. Time stood still, suspended in a moment of agonizing suspense, as Wooyoung grappled with the shocking revelation that had turned his world upside down.

Yunho's concerned voice pierced through the fog of Wooyoung's thoughts, but his words felt distant and muffled, as if they were coming from a far-off place. Wooyoung stumbled backward, his mind reeling with the weight of the news he had just received.

His movements felt sluggish and disjointed as he tried to process the sudden upheaval in his plans. Whatever his mother had told him had shattered the fragile sense of stability he had built for himself in Canada, leaving him feeling adrift and uncertain.

As Yunho reached out to steady him, Wooyoung's gaze remained fixed on some unseen point in the distance, his mind racing with a thousand questions and fears. What could have happened back home to necessitate his immediate return? Was his family in danger? Was someone hurt?

The seconds ticked by in agonizing slow motion as Wooyoung struggled to make sense of the chaos swirling around him. All he knew for certain was that he needed to get back home as quickly as possible, whatever the cost.
