Episode Prequel

On a winter night, on top of a mountain, sat a monastery, inside a oldish man in his white robes sat next to the mystic smoke, meditating, hearing nothing but the wind hitting the windows, the man continued to meditate as to ignore distractions, as he breathed out, he heard a cry, not one of a man, but of a baby, the man's eyes shot open in confusion and worry, getting up and walking to the exit of his meditation room, Wu heard the baby's cries louder then before, Wu walked over to the entrance and gently pushed it open, as he did he saw a baby in a basket crying, Wu looked around confused, wondering how someone managed to get here or why they had come here, Wu looked at the baby again who continued to cry, grabbing him gently he took him inside and sat down near a small fire, the baby seemed to have calm down, looking at Wu, the baby cooed making Wu's heart melt, the baby smiled before he yawned softly and had fallen asleep soundly

"Why were you out there by yourself?." Wu mumbled to himself as the baby continued sleeping, making up his mind Wu smiled

"My father always told me a life was more precious then any riches, I will look after you young one." Wu smiled as the baby slept

The next day rolled around and Wu heard the baby cry, Wu would wake up and walk to the baby sleepily, as he approached the baby seemed to stop crying but coo at Wu again, Wu smiled

"Good morning young one." Wu smiled as he picked the baby up, noticing that the baby was a year old, Wu now looked even more confused but ignored it and made himself some tea, the baby looked around as Wu drank his tea, he then made the baby some food as he did he looked at the baby once more and he felt something within him, something strong and powerful, Wu would shrug the feeling off and finish the food, he would feed the baby who ate it happily, Wu couldn't stop smiling, as the baby finished, he would look at Wu and pull his beard hair making Wu react in pain, the baby laughed as Wu freed himself, but started laughing too

"You're a trouble maker young one... just like him." Wu looked down as the baby only looked at Wu with a smiled still, Wu looked at the baby again and smiled

"Your special, I know it, maybe I should take you in as my own, like a son, what do you think young one?." Wu asked as the baby smiled and crawled to Wu, Wu picked him up and smiled

"I think I will young one... but if I do, I can't keep calling you young one can I? I have always liked the name (Y/N) (L/N)." Wu said as the baby laughed at Wu who held him

"Then it is settled, from now one, you are my son (Y/N) (L/N)." Wu said as he gently hugged the baby

A few years later, the baby had grown into a boy, a young one being taught by Wu, the boy passed every test with passing colours, his skills were unmatched, Wu thought he would be the fabled Green ninja, but realised that the last time that he made someone believe that, he never saw them again, Wu continued to drink his tea as the boy punched through multiple dummies, as the course had once again been beaten, Wu would place down his cup and look at the boy who wore a black Gi 

"You've done well." Wu smiled as the boy smiled before bowing 

"Yes sensei, I only with to improve." He said as Wu smiled before walking up to place a hand on his shoulder

"Your improvement will only show in the future when change has occurred." Wu said as the boy stopped bowing 

Wu eventually left the boy once more, entering the meditation room, he looked into the smoke and waited for a vision to occur, doing so he saw Garmadon returning with the Skeleton army, knowing what had to be done, Wu had left to recruit the four elemental masters to stop them from bring Garmadon back, before leaving he saw one more vision, that of the boy, who wielded a dark power, Wu kept this in thought, wondering if that had been what he felt all those years ago
