Season 2 Episode 24: The Last Hope

At the Celestial Clock, Garmadon and the Overlord watch it count down
"The clock is only hours away from finishing its count down to the Final Battle between good and evil, Garmadon. Why so sad?." The Overlord asked
"Me? Sad? Ha! Nonsense. I couldn't be happier. It's just...
"Lloyd and (Y/N)?." The Overlord answered
"I still have to battle my son and nephew in order to transform Ninjago into my image, and the rate of changing (Y/N) to my apprentice has yet passed." Garmadon said
"Not yet, I still have a plan, but I cannot reveal it just yet, not until times ready." The Overlord said as Garmadon sadly walks away dreading the Final Battle

Meanwhile on the beach, the ninja practice their new powers
"Order up. Coconut cream pure. Served well done!." Kai yelled as a coconut is fired into the air, Kai hits it with his fireball and everyone laughs
"It is good to have our powers back." Zane smiled
"Yup, you're right. And since we've all been working on our witty quips to follow every cool thing we do, I'd say we got this final battle in the bag. Or should I say...." Jay signaled Cole to launch another coconut
.....I'd be shocked if we lose!." Jay yelled  as he used his lightning to destroy the coconut, he laughs as it explodes, Wu walks up angered
"Enough! Are you trying to reveal our hidden location?." Wu asked
"Uh, sorry Sensei. We were just practicing our cool new Elemental Blades." Kai said
"And our witty quips." Jay added
"Be wary of overconfidence ninja. While it is true your powers can defeat the Stone Army, only Lloyd and (Y/N) alone have the power to defeat Garmadon. When it is all over, then we will see who laughs last." Wu said
"Yes, Sensei." The ninja said
In the distance, Dr Julien fixes the Falcon while Lloyd and (Y/N) watches
"Every cog, every gear is important. If one piece is missing, or out of place, the invention won't work." Julien explained as he closes the panel for the Falcon
"Come now, little one. Time to fly." Julien said as the Falcon flies away
"Majestical." (Y/N) said as he watched the Falcon take flight
"It is like you ninja. You each serve important roles, and are key parts to a magnificent fighting force." Wu said as Cole spots the Falcon and mistakes it for a coconut
"Eat dirt, scumbag!." Cole yelled as he shoots earth at it, Zane gasps and quickly shoots ice at it
"That is not a coconut!." Zane said smiling at the Falcon
"Nice reflexes." Cole complimented as the Falcon squawks and lands on Zane's arm
"Good to have you back, old friend." Zane smiled
"It we're all gears, what if I'm the best that doesn't work? What if I don't do my part? What if I can't defeat my father? What if (Y/N) gets turned into my father's apprentice?." Lloyd asked
"What if there are no more what ifs? The Final Battle is almost upon us. When that time comes, we will know the answer to what ifs whether we like it or not." Wu said
"I know you don't want to face your father, but there is no other choice." Nya said sadly
"But perhaps there is. I used to think it was inevitable, but then I found this." Misako said showing them a scroll
"You mean Lloyd and (Y/N) doesn't have to fight? This I gotta hear." Cole said
"The scrolls say that when the Helmet of Darkness is bequeathed to it rightful ruler, the Celestial Clock will count down to the activation of an unspeakable weapon. The first sign that the Final Battle between good and evil has begun." Misako explained
"Did you just say, unspeakable weapon?." Kai asked
"Uh, I'm still stuck in what bequeathed means." Jay said confused
"Go on, Misako. Don't let us interrupt you. How do we stop the Final Battle?." Cole asked
"There is nothing here that explains what would happen if the Helmet of Darkness is returned." Misako said reading the scroll
"Interesting. Remove the helmet, the clock starts. Put it back, the clock stops." Wu said fascinated
"And the Final Battle never starts." Lloyd smiled
"Bequeathed anyone? Is anybody gonna help me out with that?." Jay asked
"Shut up Jay, we have bigger fish to fry here." (Y/N) said
"Uh, that sounds great and all, and I know we have our new powers, but you expect us to get past his whole army of Stone Warriors and pluck the helmet off his head?." Kai asked
"My brothers right. They're good, but they're not that good." Nya said
"I know. And that is why I am going to do it. I'll just need a little help." Misako said as she called the ninja over
"In order to get past their guards, we need to first get control.....
Wu stops Lloyd and (Y/N)
"I'm sorry you two. This mission isn't for you both." Wu said apologetically
"But we're all powered up, we can help." Lloyd said
"We mustn't let you both and your father come face to face yet. We're trying to prevent the Final Battle, not welcome it." Wu said
"Yes Sensei." The duo said as (Y/N) walked off and did the stances and movements again

Meanwhile at Garmadons camp, the Stone army build the ultimate weapon
"To combat the ninjas new power, we have honoured your request to step up defences." Kozu said as Garmadon smiled
"Hehehe, I like what I see." Garmadon laughs as the Overlord appeared
"Why build your forces, when all of your attention should be on completing the ultimate weapon?." The Overlord asked
"What good is an ultimate weapon if I'm not around to use it? Do not question my motives!." Garmadon yelled
"It is not your motives I question but your resolve. I fear you're hesitating as the hours count down to facing your son and nephew. So it is true." The Overlord said
"Never doubt my evil again! Not if you wish to remain my ally when I rule!." Garmadon yelled at the Overlord as he looked at the Stone Army
"Get back to building the ultimate weapon! And do not stop until it is complete." Garmadon ordered as the army worked faster
"Yes... now that is the Garmadon I am counting on." The Overlord said
Meanwhile at the gate, the army opens it as Misako is tied up as the ninja disguise themselves as Aston Warriors
"Unhand me, you fiends!." Miskao grunted as Kozu approached
"Unt tin Klata vu! (Where did you find her?)"
Kozu yelled
"Uh, what did he say?." Cole whispered
"I don't know!." Kai whispered back
"I believe it is an ancient language." Zane whispered
"Well somebody say something." Cole whispered as they look at Kozu
"Uh, bada-bada, bing-bong!." Cole said
"Cheep, cheep, tita-ta-ta!." Kai said
"Tick tock, uh tick tock!." Zane said
"Bequeath, bequeath, bequeath!." Jay yelled doing some dance style
"Huh?." Kozu looked confused
"That's right, you caught me. But I'll never tell you where our base is. And you won't he's at another peep out of me, unless you take me to Garmadon." Miskao said as Kozu growls loudly and Miskao is taken away to Garmadon
"I said that I was not to be disturbed." Garmadon said
"Forgive me, my lord, but we have a prisoner who knows the whereabouts of your son and nephews  rebel base." Kozu said as Miskao walks in
"Miskao!." Garmadon looked surprised
"It's been a while." Miskao said as Garmadon stutters
"I, uh... release her." Garmadon ordered
"Yes sir." Kozu said as he cuts her ropes and leaves
"Take off that silly helmet. Let me get a good look at you." Misako said
"If you don't mind, I'd rather not." Garmadon said looking at her sadly

Outside, the ninja are working, not on the ultimate weapon, but on their witty quips
"How about this? It's ice to see you." Zane asked
"Uh, I don't know. I feel like you could do better." Jay said
"I swear just I've heard that before." Cole said
"Ugh. I feel like a clunky mule in this thing." Kai complained as Kozu appeared
"Tusk tong! (Get Working!)" Kozu yelled
"Uh, is he talking to us?." Kai asked
"I think he wants us to get working." Zane whispered
"TUZO TONG! (GET WORKING!)" Kuzo ordered as the ninja run off to the ultimate weapon
"Bequeath, bequeath, bequeath!." Jay yelled running off
"Tick tock, Polly wock!." Zane yelled
"Pop-pop, peep-peep-pop!." Kai yelled
"Wee-woo, wee-woo!." Cole yelled
They keep yelling gibberish as Garmadon and Miskao talk
"So you know where our son and nephew are hiding, but I suspect you won't give them up that easily." Garmadon said grabbing a sword
"I know you too well, Miskao. Why did you allow yourself to get caught?." Garmadon asked curiously
"Because I know you don't want to fight as much as they don't want to fight." Miskao said
"They don't want to fight- uh I mean, so they don't want to fight?." Garmadon laughs
"If you're still the man I once loved, I know you'd never want to see them harmed." Miskao said
"But it is foretold. It is our destiny. I don't care about Lloyd, I only care about turning Ninjago into my own image and make (Y/N) my apprentice." Garmadon said
"Then you're not the man I married. I should go." Misako said as she went to leave
"No! Don't." Garmadon stopped her as she looks at him, Garmadon takes the helmet off
"Miskao, I may look different, and evil may now course through my veins, but I am still the man standing before you." Garmadon said putting the helmet on a mannequins head
"I want you to rule by my side with (Y/N)." Garmadon said

Meanwhile the ninja are forced to work on the ultimate weapon by carrying Dark Matter
"Aw man! No matter how many bad situations we get ourselves out of, we never seem to be able to escape chores!." Jay complained
"What is that thing?." Cole asked seeing the wooden wall
"It must be the unspeakable weapon Miskao was talking about." Zane speculated
"Look guys, an elevator. Sweet." Cole said as they went to use it
"Soya! (Do not take the elevator! Take the stairs!)" Kozu yelled appearing near the ninja
"Ah, relax, relax. Forget it. Sheesh, what is wrong with these guys?." Cole asked
"I don't know about you, but that just looked like some sort of massive cannon." Kai said
"What do you suppose it's for?." Zane asked
"Oh I don't know. How about to destroy us?." Jay asked
"Tun meta! TUN META!." A stone scout yelled at Cole before bonking him
"Hey, why don't you bonk someone your own size, half-stack?." Cole asked
"Tun meta!." The stone scout yelled as he gets kicked off the platform
"That guy seriously had that coming." Cole said as everyone noticed
"Ninja! Go!." They yelled using Spinjtizu to change into their GI's, the stone army run to them
"At least we get to break the ice!." Zane yelled as he makes the floor slippery for the army who slips over
"Haha. Nice one Zane!." Kai complimented
"Now you're cooking with gas. Or should I say, electricity!." Jay yelled as he shocked some stone warriors in the elevator
"Going down?." Jay asked
"Save some lines for us Jay. I wouldn't want us bowl over the competition." Cole said as he grabs onto a rope to knock over the stone warriors, but he missed
"Oh, this is bad. This is really really-
Cole slammed into some barrels
"Bad." Cole groaned
"Let's get Miskao and get out of here!." Kai yelled
"Ninja! Go!." They yelled as they knock off more warriors
Inside Garmadons tent, Miskao goes to steal the helmet which is unsupervised
"Miskao, I'm glad you finally understand me. Not many people do, you see." Garmadon sighs as Miskao sneaks towards his helmet
"Being evil these days is really unappreciated. But you... I always knew I could count on you." Garmadon said as Miskao steals the helmet and a alarm rings, much to Garmadons confusion
"Huh? You deceived me? Stop her!." Garmadon yelled ordering the stone warriors, Misako meets up with the ninja
"You got the helmet!." Zane yelled
"And you got spotted!." Misako yelled
"Cole gave us away." Jay blamed
"All right, I've had a rough day. Can we stop laying blame, and focus on what's in front of us?." Cole asked as Kai heard rumbling behind them
"Maybe we should worry about what's behind us." Kai said as they turned around and saw Garmadon in a stone warrior mech
"Cut them down to size." Garmadon laughs as he swings a sword at them, they dodge
"If we do not return the helmet before the clock strikes zero, we won't be able to prevent the final battle." Misako explained
"Don't worry, I'm on top of it! Yah, whoo!." Jay yelled as he jumps, only for the mech to throw him up, Jay screams as he gets slammed on the ground
"Oh, maybe not." Jay groaned
"Didn't mama ever teach him the bigger they are, the harder they fall?." Cole asked as he uses his Earth at Garmadon, he deflects them
"Oh, apparently she did." Cole said surprised, Kai used his fire on the mech, which reveals it's not flammable
"Oh, great." Kai complained
"Bye bye!." Garmadon yelled as he gets ready to strike them down
"Ugh, well we better think of something fast, because... I'm out of lines! Hey!." Kai yelled as Nya saved them as she piloted the Earth Driller
"Woah, it's Nya!." Jay yelled surprised as she tripped Garmadon over
"Hey guys!." Nya greeted
"How did you know we needed you?." Jay asked
"Look up." Nya said pointing at the Falcon
"Get in! Hang on." Nya said as they hopped in a dug underground
"Don't just stand there! Get them!." Garmadon ordered the Stone army and followed behind
"You fool! You let them get away with the helmet? Don't you realise if they put it on, they will control the army?." The Overlord asked
"I'll see to it personally. It's my turn." Garmadon said
Meanwhile underground the ninja tunnel
"Heh, cool hat, I wonder if it'll make me look more menacing." Jay said as he puts it on
"Is that really wise? If that helmet turns you evil, we're kicking you out." Nya said as Jay takes it off
"Uh, is that possible? Uh, it's probably got Garmadon cooties anyway." Jay said nervously
"Did we get the helmet?." Wu asked onscreen
"We did, and we're all accounted for." Nya said
"Then let's rendezvous at the clock." Wu said
"It's so dark in here. One of these have got to be a light switch." Jay said pressing a few buttons, he screams when he sees a swordsman
"Uh, sis, can we go any faster?." Kai asked
"We're going as fast as we can." Nya said
"We're definitely not going fast enough." Cole said as they saw some vehicles follow behind
"Okay." Nya said as they go above ground
"We're losing them!." Jay cheered
"Whoo-hoo!." Kai cheered
"Excellent." Zane cheered
"Awesome!." Nya cheered as Zane notices Garmadon following them in his mech
"Uh, oops." Zane said realising he was coming
"You won't get away from me again, Miskao." Garmadon said following behind
"Hang on!." Nya yelled as she drives around trying to lose him
"Have we lost him?." Nya asked as Garmadon grabs them
"Not quite!." Kai yelled as they get tossed into a tree, Nya tries to break the glass
"Ugh! It's stuck!." Nya yelled as Garmadon grabs them again
"I think I'm gonna be sick." Cole gaged
"I finally have you, ninja, in the palm of my hand." Garmadon laughs
"Let them go!." Lloyd yelled as he and (Y/N) shoots his mech with their powers
"Ow!." Jay groaned
"Lloyd, (Y/N) be careful." Nya said as Garmadon gets out of his broken mech, too weak to fight back
"Holy cannoli, Lloyd, (Y/N) and Garmadon in a face-off! Take the shot guys!." Jay yelled
"He's vulnerable!." Cole yelled
"Do not hesitate!." Zane yelled
"Strike now!." Kai yelled as Garmadon coughs
"I'm sorry father. You leave us no choice. It is our destiny." Lloyd said
"This is what it's come to, I'm sorry uncle, but you knew it had to end this way." (Y/N) said as they powered up and goes to fire, but Garmadon looks at them weakly, making the duo power down
"I-I can't do it..." (Y/N) said
"No! What are they doing?." Jay asked
"They're coming." Miskao said as the stone warriors near, Garmadon laughs evilly
"Lloyd, (Y/N) we need to move!." Miskao yelled
"The clock is not too far from here." Nya said
"Okay!." Lloyd yelled
"Let's go!." (Y/N) yelled as they hop in
"Go!." Lloyd yelled as they drove off, Garmadon watches them escape

The ninja arrive at the clock
"Wow. This clock is a mechanical masterpiece." Nya admired
"You're welcome to dismantle it once we stop it." Misako offered
"There's only a couple of minutes left!." Jay yelled
"Everyone, look for the helmets perched! It could be anywhere." Miskao said
"You don't know how to return the helmet?." Wu asked
"It had a resting place somewhere." Miskao said as she places the helmet somewhere
"Oh, that didn't work. Maybe here." Miskao said putting it in another spot
"Perhaps I found the perch!." Zane yelled as he gets the helmet and places it in a spot
"Ugh, no. Wrong place." Zane said as Wu looks around as Wu grabs the helmet
"Could this be the place?." Wu asked as Kuzo pushes him, making Wu drop the helmet
"No!." Kai yelled
"Dad!." (Y/N) yelled glaring at Kuzo
"There's only thirty seconds left. I believe it's time to die-
A pole pushes the helmet away
"No!." Kuzo yelled as he gets blasted back by (Y/N)
"Aargh!." Kuzo groaned
"Get the helmet!." Miskao yelled as Cole grabs it
"Right!." Cole yelled as he drops it
"Ah! The helmets perch!." Miskao spotted the perch
"There's only ten seconds left!." Wu yelled
"I'll get it." Miskao said as she ran to it, a warrior tries to stop her but Wu kick him away
"Hurry, Miskao!." Wu yelled
"Okay!." Miskao yelled as she grabs the helmet and puts it on the perch, stopping the clock
"NOOOOOOO!." Kuzo yelled as the ninja cheered
"Ah! It worked!." Lloyd cheered
"We prevented the Final Battle!." (Y/N) cheered as he hugged Nya
"We did it!." Nya hugged back as they continued to cheer, the stone army growls angrily, but the clock starts again, blaring a horn
"No!." Wu yelled as Kuzo laughs evilly
"The Horns of Destruction. We were too late." Miskao said worriedly
Back in the jungle, Garmadon hears the horns
"Overlord, what has happened?." Garmadon asked
"It has started." The Overlord said as Garmadon sees a beam of light come from the clock
"What is that thing?." Garmadon asked
Meanwhile back at the clock, the ninja try to fight but the ground underneath them falls down, Nya being the only one up there
"Nya!." (Y/N) and Jay screamed
"(Y/N)!." Nya yelled
"Sis!." Kai yelled as Kuzo grabs Nya
"Let her go!." Jay yelled
"Don't you dare hurt her! I'll make you pay!." (Y/N) yelled as Kozu laughed
"Or you'll do what? You will make a hug splash?." Kuzo asked
"The ground!." Cole yelled as it started to fall again
"No, no!." Jay yelled
"We will get you Purple ninja! The masters final plan will not be complete without you!." Kozu yelled as they fell into the endless sea, they pop back up hearing Nya scream as she's dragged away
"This is all my fault. I should've taken the shot." Lloyd said sadly
"We both should've, but I just couldn't." (Y/N) sighed as they get back onto land
"Guys, we're all at fault here. It's just the way the cookie crumbled." Cole said
"Ah! Are you still making jokes? They have Nya, AND YOURE MAKING JOKES?!." Jay yelled as he tackles Cole
"It was just a poor choice of words!." Cole yelled as Jay went to punch Cole, only for (Y/N) to grab him
"Enough! We already lost Nya! We are not losing anyone else!." (Y/N) yelled at Jay who backed off
"The last thing we need to do is to lose our focus." Wu said
"Forget focus. We have to get my sister." Kai said
"By the time we get back up there, they'll be gone. We will get your sister, but the clock has reached a zero and the Final Battle could start at any moment. We must head back to the bounty to get prepared, so that next time, you both will not hesitate." Misako said
"Come on, Lloyd, (Y/N). Let's go home. You both will get your chance." Wu said as they walked off

Meanwhile Garmadon approaches their camp where the light from the clock slowly dims down
"Behold, the ultimate weapon. I give you... Garmatron!." The Overlord announced as Garmadon smiled evilly
"It's more beautiful than I could ever imagine!." Garmadon said
"And after this, we will have the Purple Ninja, once and for all!." The Overlord yelled as they began laughing evilly
