The citizens of Ninjago celebrate the New Year Festival, in Chens Noodle House, Ronin is sitting by himself watching TV
"Season of change is almost to an end. And residents of Ninjago eagerly await to celebrate tonight's New Year Festival." A reporter said
"Hard to believe you don't have any friends to usher in the New Year." Skylor said to Ronin
"Let's just say, I'm good at making friends, just not keeping them." Ronin said
"Huh, even a friend who spoils the party every once and awhile is still a better friend than someone who stays." Skylor said as she sees Ronins Aeroblade which he puts away
"Ah, it's okay. I've been around enough weapons in my day. In fact, kind of reminds me of some old friends." Skylor smiled as he gets some noodles
"How much do I owe you?." Ronin asked
"It's in the house, friend." Skylor smiled
"Huh, appreciate it." Ronin said as he looks at the TV again
"Festival celebration is going on all over Ninjago." The reporter said
"Hey, mind turning that up?." Ronin asked as skylor did so
"But not only in Ninjago. Other cities in every corner...
"You know that sewer swamp?." Skylor asked
... are celebrating this festival...
"Yeah. I used to call it home." Ronin said
... and no other town liked to celebrate more than the residents in Stiix county." The reporter said as everyone is excited and gets ready
"Wow!." Stiix residents looked excited
"Oh, man. That's awesome!." A boy smiled at the fireworks

Inside Morro's base, Morro uses the Realm Crystal
"Now let's shed a little light." Morro smiled as he sets the Realm Crystal in place and opens the Cursed Realm for the Ghost Warriors
"Ah, it's good to be back." Wrayth said relieved
"How long until the Preeminent is ready?." Morro asked
"Her energy is still too strong to cross the Ethereal Divide." Soul Archer explained
"The longer the gateway stays open, the stronger it becomes. We must prepare for her arrival." Bansha explained
"Then what are we waiting for? Let the festivities begin." Morro smiled evilly as Ghost Warriors and Skreemers take over the city, changing the orange lights into a ghostly green. The citizens scream and run away
"Hey, my dragon!." A kid yelled as it flew away

At Steep Wisdom, the ninja stand around
"Shouldn't we be going to Stiix? The longer we wait, the worse it'll get." Kai said
"Yeah, we don't have the time to stand around, we should get to Stiix and stop Morro as soon as possible." (Y/N) said
"We will, but we need to stock up." Wu said
"On what? Magic tea that will make us invincible? Give us special powers? Is it gonna give us four arms?." Jay asked
"Sadly, no magical tea today. I had to sell the rest of the merchandise along with everything else." Wu said
"What? You sold your business? But that was for your retirement." Zane said as Cyrus emerged out from the shop
"Ah! Hello again, ninja." Cyrus smiled
"Brog?." (Y/N) looked confused
"While we're away, I had Borg use the money from the tea farm to create us some new toys to balance the scales. They are expensive, you know." Wu said
"It's been so long. I hardly recognise any of you. Lloyd looks older. I see a Water Ninja. A titanium Nindroid. Cole is a... a ghost? Huh?." Borg laughs nervously, the others smile about their compliments while Cole looks ashamed
"Jay looks shorter, and (Y/N), you look different, did your hair get longer?." Borg asked
"I get that a lot." (Y/N) chuckled
"Hey, what do you mean I look shorter?." Jay asked
"I'm sorry Dr Borg, but cut to the chase. We don't have much time." Kai said impatient
"Yes, always the impatient one. Come, let me show you." Borg smiled as he presses a button to bring up their vehicles
"If you want a little muscle with that hustle, I've made Jay a lightning fast Ghost Taker GT. Front spectral intake, rare incorporeal storage." Borg explained
"Oh, why did the ghost cross the street? Oh, I don't know, maybe cause he saw me coming in that!." Jay smiled as he jumps in his vehicle and rides it
"Zane's Ice Mech. Sure it appears to be the same, but I've equipped the underarms with Deepstone particle shooters, allowing you to freeze the competition." Cyrus explained
"Super cool. And I mean quite literally." Zane said as he jumps into his mech
"Cole, I've made you a Ghost Cycle. Twin carbine  blasters, auto-evasive handling. Made entirely of Deepstone, perfectly molded to fit the in.... Bodiless. And I've set all the radio presets to your favourite. Soft rock." Cyrus smiled
"I do love a slow jam." Cole said Ching on, he turns on the radio
"Woah!." Cole smiled
"And for you, Kai." Borg tosses him a red headband
"A headband." Kai looked confused
"A personal embroidered headband. Thirty two thread count, easy tie capabilities. I apologise. I lost track of the time building the other vehicles. Eh, same goes for you Lloyd and (Y/N). To be honest, I wasn't entirely sure you both would be making it back." Borg admitted
"Hey, I'm just happy to be here. We'll take any help we can get." Lloyd smiled
"I hear Morro has opened a bridge between our two realms. It'll take time for the Preeminent to cross." Borg said
"Which is why we need Lloyd and (Y/N) to use their powers to destroy the Realm Crystal before that happens. If Ninjago is cursed, the other realms are sure to follow." Wu said
"But they'll be expecting us. And Morro still has the Sword of Sanctuary. Even with all these fancy new vehicles, how are we supposed to get close?." Nya asked
"Yeah, we're supposed to take on an army of Ghosts?." Jay asked
"Maybe i can lure him out. He said he always wanted to be the Green Ninja." Lloyd said
"No. He will not leave the Realm Crystal unguarded until his master is freed." Wu said
"But even with our powers back, he's seen all of our moves." Cole said
"Then we'll show him something he hasn't. A Water Ninja." Kai smiled at Nya
"But I've just started my training. I haven't even found my True Potential." Nya said
"Nya, when our parents passed, you were there for me. Now, I'm here for you." Kai said reassuring Nya
"He's right. She's our greatest weapon." Cole said
"And as Brother sharpens Brother, the same should go for a Sister." Zane smiled
"Our greatest power isn't what we can throw at him. It's what we have right here. A united team." Lloyd said, (Y/N) placed a hand on her shoulder
"We will have your back the whole way through." (Y/N) smiled as Nya smiled back
"So what do you think Nya? Are you ready to lead them into battle?." Wu asked
"I'm in. But if they know we're coming straight for them, how about we show them not every path is a straight line?." Nya asked
"Intrigued. Do you have a plan?." Zane asked
"I'll explain on the way." Nya smiled

Meanwhile at Stiix, the ship captain is overlooking the city
"Captain, dinner is ready." A waiter said as he brings out a large pile of food
"Ugh. Just keep the food coming. These ghosts appetites is like nothing I've seen. Go." The ship captain ordered as he runs around and gives the ghosts food
"Oh! No, no, no, no, no, no, no!." He yelled as he kept giving them food, he then sees some citizens held captive
"Oh, you poor people." He said as he tries to feed them, only for two ghosts to steal the food
"Bon appétit." The waiter smiled nervously

Back at the city of Stiix, the ghost generals hang around
"The gateway is becoming more stable. Soon." Soul Archer told Morro
"Any sign of the ninja?." Morro asked
"No, but we have two spooks for every nook and cranny in this watering hole. And even if they do show, and one of us they strike down can simply return through the portal. You're invincible Morro." Wrayth explained
"I thought that once before. Let them revel, but we must not let our guard down." Morro said
"Don't worry Morro, soon you will be the Green Ninja and then the sixteen realms will be ours." Soul Archer explained
"And keep an eye out for that Purple Ninja, he is a thorn in my side, and he is the only one to face off me and stand a chance." Morro said
"Don't worry, we'll make sure he won't be a thorn any longer." Wrayth laughed
Bansha meanwhile stops Wu's truck
"Wu. A special delivery, I presume?." Bansha asked as three ghosts check the truck to find it empty
"Let me talk to my pupil. It doesn't have to end this way." Wu said as Bansha gets possessed by Morro
"Sensei, I was wondering when you were gonna show up." Morro said
"Morro." Wu said
"You think I'll just let you stroll right in? Your wisdom fails you in your old age." Morro said
"Last chance, Morro. You may no longer be my pupil, but I still can teach you a lesson. My ninja are well trained, and they will defeat every last one of you. Give up now, or forever rest in peace." Wu said
"Take them." Morro said as the ghosts grab Wu and Misako
"You think I'd ever let the ninja in my town? Foolish old man." Morro said

Meanwhile, Kai dresses up as a citizen and passes food to some ghosts
"I'm starving. I'm deadly hungry, give me food. I want burgers. I'm just- so good." The ghost smiled as he ate
"Anyone have eyes on the Realm Crystal?." Kai asked on a communication device
"It appears to be inside what used to be Ronins pawnshop in the centre of town. Morris there, and it's highly guarded." Zane said as he scanned the area
"Do you think we can get Lloyd and (Y/N) in there to destroy it? I don't know if we'll pull Morro away long enough." Jay said
"Yeah, well that's the plan. Everyone in position?." Cole asked
"Let's do this." Kai said as he looks at the ghosts
"Tea, anyone?." Kai asked
"Yes please." A ghost said as Kai pours it on him
"Uh oh." Kai said
"You fool!." A ghost yelled as they chase Kai, allowing Lloyd to proceed
"Hey, move back! Thanks!." Jay yelled to a ghost as he watches the crate be lowered by a crane, (Y/N) runs through
Zane "accidentally" drops a bucket of water, almost splashing two ghosts
"Oh!." Zane yelled
"Watch it!." A ghost yelled
"Sorry. It slipped." Zane lied
"Get ready. It's almost time." Wu said as some ghosts dance to music, Cole possess it and makes it speed up, the ghosts dance faster, a ghost dragon roars signalling it found Lloyd and (Y/N)
"Look what we have here." Soul Archer said as Morro approached
"The Green and Purple Ninja. So rude. Hasn't anyone told you both it's not polite to be late to the party?." Morro asked
"Now that we've got them, what do you want us to do with them?." Bansha asked
"Surely it's not just you both. I know your ninja are never far. Come out, come out, wherever you are. I have your beloved Green and Purple Ninja." Morro yelled out to no avail
"You think you can come into my home and steal the Crystal I rightfully earned? You think I'll just hand it to you, just like the Green GI was handed to you? Or how about the Purple GI, but that might just be Wu's bias since you're his son, tell me. Tall all of us I'm better than both of you, and I'll let you go." Morro said as they said nothing
"What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?." Morro asked as he takes off their hoods, (Y/N) smirks
"Big mistake little man." (Y/N) smirked as Nya creates a water ball
"She's a Water Ninja. Shes.... Protect the Realm Crystal!." Morro yelled to the ghosts as Nya destroys the ghosts with her water
"Go and destroy the Realm Crystal." Nya kissed (Y/N) cheek
"Kick Morro's but for me." (Y/N) kissed back before running off
"No!." Morro yelled as he went to stop him, only for Nya to stop Morro, the duo fight

Kai is with Lloyd in citizens clothing
"Plan to get him away from the Realm Crystal worked. We'll clear a path for you, then you can do the rest with (Y/N)." Kai told Lloyd
"Let's do this." Lloyd said determined as he ran off with (Y/N)
"Look at that. We're back." A ghost said emerging from the Realm Crystal
"Let's get them!." Another ghost yelled as they went to attack
"Yeah." Nya used her powers on ghosts
"Chill out! Hahaha. It feels good to have our powers back. Ice!." Zane yelled as he used his powers from his mech
"It's time we get these people out of here. Everyone stand back." Wu said as he summons his Dragon to break the cage
"Even better to have a new ride." Jay chuckled as a ghost slashes his ride
"Hey, you scratched my brand new car!." Jay yelled as he captured a ghost
"Haha. Sucker." Jay laughed
"Uh, Jay, a little help?." Kai asked surrounded
"On my way!." Jay yelled as he captured the ghost
"Woo-hoo!." Jay yelled
"Thanks. Great job, Jay!." Lloyd yelled
"Come, on, let's get to the Realm Crystal." (Y/N) said as they kept running
"Oh, this is good. So good." A ghost ate as he sees Cole
"Hey, look, a ninja." A ghost said
"Dinner is served." Cole said as he rides the table and destroys the ghosts with food
"Cole, on the roof!." Lloyd yelled as Cole blasts the ghost which alerts Morro
"The ninja are winning. Get out there and stop them." Morro ordered
"Keep going Lloyd's (Y/N). You're almost there." Wu told them
"Ice!." Zane yelled as he freezes Bansha, she breaks free from the ice
"Particle shooters disabled." PIXAL told Zane
"My ice can't stop them." Zane said as Cole goes over to him
"Im coming to help." Cole said as Wrayth jumps over him
"Hey!." Cole yelled as he gets stuck on his chain
"He's too strong. I can't keep doing this." Nya grunts as she fights Morro
"You have to Nya. You can do it." Kai said as he zip lines with his headband to escape Soul Archers arrow
"Ha! Thirty-two thread count." Kai smiled at the headband
Ghoultar gets his scythe stuck in jays vehicle
"You monster." Jay said as the ghost are released
"Ugh!." Jay groaned
"Is that all? Is that all you've got?." Morro asked Nya
"Hey! Looks like this is just between us." Lloyd said as (Y/N) glared at Morro
"The green gi belongs to me now." Morro laughs
"You think I'm gonna make this easy? Let's see how good you are." Morro said as the three fight
"Stay strong, Lloyd, (Y/N)." Nya said
"I'm stronger, Lloyd, (Y/N). I always have been. And I've been inside your head. I know what you're afraid of. You could never do it alone, could you? You always relied on (Y/N) to fight with you or for you, but I, I need no one." Morro said
"Which is why you'll lose!." (Y/N) yelled trying to kick Morro who dodged
"I know all your moves! You can't win!." Morro laughed
"The Preeminent is about to arrive. Lloyd and (Y/N)'s time is running out." Wu said
"What are you waiting for, Lloyd, (Y/N)? An invitation? If you want the Realm Crystal, earn it." Morro said
"I did learn a thing or two with you in my head." Lloyd said as he uses Airjitzu to get closer to Morro, (Y/N) follows behind, Morro uses his wind to push Lloyd off, (Y/N) grabs him and sends a blast to Morro who dodges, Morro the uses his wind again on (Y/N) making them fall
"Watch your step. The fall can be a doozy." Morro smiled as he uses wind to push away a platform Lloyd and (Y/N) were going to land on, making them fall
"What's wrong? Too hard for ya? This is the end of the line, Lloyd. I'll miss you, and (Y/N), as a creation of the Overlord, you're a disappointment, I bet you he is watching very disappointedly at you." Morro laughed, as they fall, Ronin saves them with R.E.X
"Better late than never." Ronin said as he drops them off safely
"I saved a lot for this moment." Ronin said as he pours his savings onto Morro
"Where's Morro? He's gone." Ronin said looking confused

Lloyd and (Y/N) are now inside the pawnshop and go to destroy the Realm Crystal
"Stop! Please, don't." Morro begged
"Why should we listen to you? You tried to kill us." (Y/N) glared
"Please, just listen." Morro begged
"This isn't your world anymore, Morro. You had your chance. The Realm Crystal must be destroyed. The First Spinjtizu Master never wanted us to have it." Lloyd said
"But, b-but if you destroy it, you destroy any chance of ever saving your father." Morro said looking at Lloyd, the duo look at him confused
"There he is." Kai said as they looked inside the pawnshop
"Lloyd, (Y/N), get out of there." Nya try to tell them
"Yes, yes, I've seen him. He waits for you...
"Windows are blocked." Kai said trying to break them
... locked up in the Cursed Realm. Destroy the crystal and, and the gateway will forever be wiped out." Morro said
"Use your Spinjtizu!." Kai yelled
"You'll never get a chance to see your beloved daddy again." Morro said making Lloyd stop
"No! This is some kind of trick!." (Y/N) yelled
"Lloyd, (Y/N)! Get out!." Zane yelled
"Uh... you've... you've seen him?." Lloyd asked
"Lloyd! (Y/N)!." Kai yelled
"Lloyd, don't listen to him! He's trying to get into your head!." (Y/N) yelled
"Listen to me Lloyd, you can save him, but you must spare the crystal." Morro said
"Don't listen to him Lloyd! We need to destroy the crystal, now!." (Y/N) yelled, Lloyd looked conflicted before looking determined as they went to destroy the crystal, only to be restrained by the Preeminent
"Lloyd! (Y/N)!." Kai yelled
"What is that?! It's taking them! No!." Nya yelled
"Oh no!." Kai yelled
"The gateway is complete." Morro smiled
"No!." Zane yelled
"My master had arrived." Morro bowed
"Lloyd! (Y/N)!." Zane yelled
"No! It must be destroyed!." Lloyd yelled trying to destroy it, the Preeminent grabs the crystal
"No!." (Y/N) yelled
"What now?!." Nya yelled
"This isn't good." Kai said as Morro laughs
"You have it wrong, Ninjago must be destroyed. Say hello to your father for me, and finally, this little game of ours can end (Y/N), you have been a great adversary, but all good games must come to an end!." Morro laughed as the Preeminent pulls them through, seemingly defeating them
"Noooo!." Zane yelled as Nya screams
