Season 2 Episode 23: Island of Darkness

The next day, the ninja arrived at the Dark Island, they covered the bounty in sand so no one can spot them, they are on look at and Wu gasps
"This whole island is swarming with Garmadons indestructible Stone Army
"Ha! Good thing we're ninja and we know how to hide." Jay smiled
"Yeah, question is, for how long?." (Y/N) asked
"Who wants to hide when you can fight? I'm getting tired of having our heads buried in the sand. I wanna fight these guys." Cole said annoyed
"But Cole, they have no apparent weakness. It would be unwise to start a fight we cannot finish." Zane reasoned
"That is why we must find the Temple of Light." Wu said as they go back inside of the bounty where Misako explains the scrolls
"The scrolls say there is a hidden temple on the island. If you find it, it will give the ninja pure elemental powers, powers that can destroy the indestructible army." Misako read out
"So you're saying we get to fight? Whoo-hoo! I've got happy feet!." Cole cheered
"And you, my son and nephew, here it is written, For once the Green and Purple Ninja finds the instrument of peace, they will strike it and know the power of the Ultimate Spinjtizu Master." Misako read
"Ultimate Spinjtizu master?." Lloyd and (Y/N) asked
"It means you both will be able to invoke the power of the Golden and Purple Dragon, an ancient fighting style only practiced by the First Spinjtizu Master." Misako explained
"Hahaha. Jealous?." Lloyd asked the others who locked surprised
"Wait, an instrument of peace? I thought I was meant to find the symbol of true destruction?." (Y/N) asked
"You are, but if you are to reach your ultimate power, you must strike the instrument of peace, the true symbol of destruction is unclear to me." Misako said as she showed a picture of movements
"They appear to be movements, and stances." Zane said looking at them
"I know that technique, it's the form of destruction, it can only be fully mastered when the master of Destruction learns to control his full powers." Wu explained
"Woah, so that's all I have to do? Some stances and movements? Easy!." (Y/N) smiled
"It's easier said then done my son, you must prefect the movements and stances or else you will not achieve your ultimate powers." Wu explained as (Y/N) nodded
"Guess I better start practicing then." (Y/N) said as Misako gave him the scroll
"That's great and all, but can we get back on track here? if they're going to unlock their ultimate powers, we need to find this temple, so what's the catch?." Kai asked
"The catch is, the Temple could be anywhere on the island, and all we have is this." Wu said passing Dr Julien a medallion with three holes
"A medallion. It's like a compass. When the three holes match up, the medallion will reveal where the temple is hidden." Julien explained
"Uh, how'd you know that?." Jay asked curiously
"Oh, I did a lot of reading in my spare time. Adventure stories were my favourite." Julien chuckled as Zane takes the medallion
"Then what are we waiting for?." Zane asked as they all got up only for Wu to stop Lloyd and (Y/N)
"Not you two." Wu said much to Lloyd's annoyance
"Ah seriously? Are we still doing this?." Lloyd asked
"And why am I being held back?." (Y/N) asked confused
"There is a reason to this." Wu said looking at them
"Wu is right. If you were to come across your father or uncle in (Y/N) case, it could prematurely start the Final Battle. We need to be at full strength before we take any risks." Misako said
"Hahaha, jealous?." Jay mocked Lloyd
"Well, I could use some help around the shop. We should get working in vehicles that might help give us a fighting chance." Julien said
"Remember, Garmadon doesn't know we're on the island. It's imperative that you stay out of sight." Wu said
"Of course Sensei. Don't worry. Have you ever known us to veer from a plan huh?." Jay asked as Lloyd, Wu, Misako and (Y/N) looks at them not amused
"Ninja-
"Shh! Not so loud. Are you trying to get us caught?." Wu asked shushing the four
"Go." They whispered

Meanwhile at Garmadons camp, a Stone Swordsman brings a box of Dark Matter to Garmadon, the swordsman speaks in a foreign language
"What did he say, General Kozu?." Garmadon asked the four armed stone warrior general
"The mining, they've dug to new depths and have struck Dark Matter." Kozu said as he grabs the box and brings it to Garmadon
"Amazing. The most powerful Dark Matter." Garmadon smiled
"He also says they have lost many warriors down the Mouth of Eternal Shadows just to obtain this one piece." Kozu said
"Then tell him I'll throw him down myself, because I need one thousand more just like this one to make my ultimate weapon." Garmadon said
"I will see that it is done." Kozu said leaving as the Overlord appeared
"They respect you. This is good, but I feel a shift in the balance." The Overlord said
"Huh? Should I have shaken my first more? Maybe dramatically thrown over a table, or kicked over a-
"No, you myopic mortal! The ninja. I cannot see them, but I sense their presence." The Overlord said
"Here? On the island? I will alert the warriors back. If they are here, we'll find them." Garmadon said as the Stone Army is called back
"They would be fools to set foot anywhere near my camp." Garmadon said
The ninja meanwhile outside of Garmadons camp spy on them
"Look, this must be Garmadons camp." Jay said
"No you think? I thought it was a takeout restaurant." Kai remarked
"I see you've taken to (Y/N)'s sarcasm." Zane said
"Yeah it's kinda grown on me." Kai shrugged as they continued to look down
"It looks like he's building something." Kai said
"Building what?." Jay asked
"Quiet you bozos. We still need to find what the medallion matches up to." Cole said as Cole looks through it
"Let me see." Zane said as Cole passed him the medallion
"Hmm, nothing watches, wait." Zane said as he spots the Falcon
"You found the Temple of Light?." Jay asked as he grabs the medallion
"No, but look!." Zane said pointing at the Falcon on a desktop
"Your Falcon. I thought it got shot down and was lost for good." Kai said surprised
"Not if I can retrieve it and get the pieces back to my father." Zane said
"Wait, Zane. You're veering from the plan. We're supposed to be finding the Temple of Light and staying out of sight." Cole said reminding Zane
"If I were any of you, I'd do the same. I have to get my friend back." Zane said as he leaves, Cole tried to follow but Kai stopped him
"The more of us that goes the more chances we'll get caught. We just have to stay here and hope he doesn't get seen." Kai said
"Aww, I wanna fight." Cole complained

Meanwhile back at camp, the team works on the Earth Driller
"Thank you Wu. If you could fetch some more creek water, that should pretty much do it." Julien said as Wu grabs a bucket and walks off, he and Misako looks at each there before walking away
"So, how did you meet him?." Lloyd asked
"Who? Sensei Wu?." Misako asked
"No, my father." Lloyd corrected
"You know, he wasn't always like the way he is today. It took years for his poisoned heart to turn him evil. There was a time when I loved him very much. And he was very proud." Misako said much to Lloyd's confusion
"When was that?." Lloyd asked
"When we had you." Misako said as they embraced
"And now it all comes down to me fighting him." Lloyd said sadly
"But you won't be alone." Misako said gesturing to (Y/N) practicing the stances
"I'm glad to have him as a cousin, when I first arrived on the bounty he was with me the entire time." Lloyd said as he smiled at (Y/N)
"He was a very lovely boy when I last met him." Misako smiled
"You met (Y/N) once?." Lloyd asked confused
"Yes, a very long time ago." Misako said as Nya walked up to (Y/N) and they talked for a minute before Nya copied the movements and stances as well, the duo smiling at each other as they do
Meanwhile Wu is filling a bucket with water, as he does he overhears a Stone Swords man talking, he hides but steps in a stick, the warriors spot him and go to attack Wu, Wu fights back and starts to lose, only for Lloyd and (Y/N) to save him
"Watch out!." Misako yelled as Lloyd and Misako traps the swordsmen
"You okay dad?." (Y/N) asked as Wu nodded
"Yes, I will be, but that was close. Our presence on the island cannot be hidden for much longer. I just hope the ninja have located the Temple, knowing them, they have probably found it by now." Wu said hopeful

The ninja meanwhile still wait for Zane
"I spy, uh... another tree!." Jay said spotting a tree through the medallion
"Jay, how did you ever become a ninja? Seriously?." Cole asked annoyed
"Ugh, will Zane just get his bird already and get out of there?." Kai asked annoyed and impatient
Jay continues to mess with the medallion and aligns it with three lights
"Guys, look!." Jay said as he gives the medallion to Kai who looks through it
"It matches up. That must be the Temple of Light." Kai said as Cole laughs
"Jay, I take back everything I said. You are a fine ninja. Not finer than me, but a fine-
Cole is interrupted by the warriors talking and spotting Zane, who gets cornered while holding the broken Falcon
"Oh..." Jay looked worried
"I sense I may have gotten myself into a predicament, my broken friend." Zane said as Garmadon noticed Zane
"A ninja, here? Seize him." Garmadon ordered as they moved closer
"That's it, I'm fighting." Cole said getting up
"We can't, they're indestructible. If we go in there, they'll know we're here too." Kai reasoned
"Yeah, and if we don't, we'll regret it for the rest of our lives. Come on, it's Zane." Cole said as they run over the army
"What are you waiting for, a red carpet?." Cole asked Zane as they start running away
"They're getting away. Noooo! Do something!." Garmadon yelled at Kozu who order the army to follow them
"Remember when Sensei asked to stay out of sight?." Kai asked
"Yeah, that was good advice." Cole said as they tried to climb the fence but the army throws spears at them
"Why didnt we listen to him?." Jay asked as they began running again
"Why don't we ever listen to him?." Zane asked
"Look! The gate! The way out." Kai said as the ran on the bridge, the plank under Kai breaks, Garmadon grabs some popcorn from a stone scout
"Excellent. This is too good." Garmadon laughed
"We've been in situations like this a hundred times. Quick, who's got an idea?." Kai asked the others
"Uh, we jump into that hole." Jay said putting as a pit underneath them full of Dark Matter
"Next idea." Kai said
"I say we fight." Cole said
"(Y/N) would ask what's wrong with you, we can't fight, and besides with what? We don't have powers, what about you Zane? What do your computers say?." Kai asked
"I got us into this mess. I know how to get us out." Zane said as the bridge breaks from their weight
"Grab a plank! Ninja! Go!." Zane yelled as they did Spinjtizu to get out of the hole and use it to sled upon the trees
"Get them!." Garmadon yelled as the ninja began falling
"We're falling!." Jay yelled
"Use your good as a parachute!." Zane yelled as they did
"Whoo-hoo!." Jay cheered as the glided to the bounty again
"Hey, they found the Falcon." Julien smiled as the ninja ran to them
"Why are they running?." Lloyd asked
"They did something didn't they?." (Y/N) asked as they arrived to the gang
"Prepare for battle. We've got company." Zane said
"You were spotted? By one? Two?." Wu asked
"How about...all of them?." Kai said nervously
"Of course they did." (Y/N) facepalmed
"Did you locate the Temple of Light?." Misako asked
"It's at the top of the mountain. I hope those vehicles are ready because we could sure use them now." Kai said as Julien walks to the Earth Driller
"Guess you're gonna have to figure this baby out on the fly." Julien said
"We've also pack another surprise in the back. Perhaps it can be of use." Nya said
"Another Nya surprise?." Jay asked
"You'll have to go too. Be safe." Misako said to Lloyd
"We will." Lloyd said
"Good luck." Nya said as she kissed (Y/N)'s cheek
"Thanks, I promise I will make it back for you." (Y/N) said as they all  climbed onto the Earth Driller
"Whatever you do, do not stop until you get to the Temple of Light. Our survival depends on it." Wu said
"This time, we'll stick to the plan." Kai said
"Good luck, ninja." Wu said as the drive off
"Attack!." Kozu yelled as stone warrior vehicles followed behind them
"You do know how to steer this thing, don't you?." Jay asked as Cole dodged the stone warrior vehicles
"Whoo-hoo!." Cole cheered as he starts digging underground to the mountain
"Well, that's about as far as this baby will go. We'll have to do the rest on our own." Cole said as the stone warriors neared
"But we'll never make it up the mountain before they arrive." Lloyd said
"Well, then let see what my sister packed." Kai said as he finds the Fire Mech in the back and activates it
"Oh, I love my sis, leave this to me." Kai said as he hopped on the mech
"Hey buddy, you just had to be first. And guess what you win? A little of this!." Kai yelled as he threw the Stone Warrior vehicle into the jungle
"Who's next?." Kai asked as he smash's more of their vehicles
"These guys just don't stop." Jay said as more came
"Climb on." Kai said as they hop on the mech, he then starts climbing the mountain
"Ugh, they're still coming." Jay groaned as they followed behind
"One of these days we're gonna have to fight." Cole said as (Y/N) blasted some back
"That should buy us some time." (Y/N) said as more kept coming
"Or not." (Y/N) said
"We're not climbing fast enough." Zane said
"Activate hook!." Kai yelled as they grappled up higher
"Oh! We made it to the top! But where's the Temple of Light?." Jay asked looking around
"Are you sure you used the medallion right?." Lloyd asked
"Oh, of course I used it right. It said it should be right here." Jay said
"Well, until we find it, I've got to find a way to slow them down." Kai said as he pushed the army off
"That should buy us a little time." Kai said as (Y/N) broke some of the ground they were on
"Just to make sure." (Y/N) said as they climbed a little higher and get blinded by a golden light
"The Temple of Light." Lloyd gasped as they walked inside, Jay noticed some drawings on the wall
"Guys, check this out. It's us." Jay said
"Impossible. It's everything we've ever done." Kai said as they looked at the drawings
"Finding the bounty. Facing the Devourer, even right now." Cole said as they find a picture of them looking at themselves
"How could it all be here?." Zane asked
"Destiny." Lloyd and (Y/N) said in sync before looking at each other
"I think we know what we need to do." Lloyd said as he and (Y/N) dusts off the floor and find his energy symbol, but it was split in half with (Y/N)'s destruction symbol
"Look." (Y/N) said as the others did the same thing, they stand on their symbols
"Okay, now what?." Lloyd asked as they hear the warriors getting closer
"Why does everything have to be so hard?." Cole asked
"Wait, Misako said something about an instrument of peace right?." (Y/N) asked as Lloyd looked up
"The bell, it's an instrument. You guys ready for this?." Lloyd asked
"Bring it." Cole said as (Y/N) and Lloyd looked at each other and ran to the walls, they jump off to and strike the bell which rings loudly, they soon get covered in light
"Woah! What's happening?!." Lloyd asked
"No one move!." Zane yelled as Lloyd and (Y/N) close their eyes and get levitated up and lights bounced off the crystals on the wall, hitting each ninja and giving them new GI's and elemental blades
"Guys, send them your powers!." Kai yelled as their beams hit Lloyd, the light fades and Lloyd and (Y/N) falls wearing new GI's as well
"Guys!." Kai yelled as they looked up and glared at the warriors who approached
"Let 'em have it!. They yelled
"Now we get to fight!." Cole said happily Kai ran and hit the warriors sword which doesn't break much to the warriors confusion
"Cool, whoo-hoo!." Kai yelled as he surrounded them in fire, Zane freezes them and Jay jumps onto their spears and electrocuted them, Cole then buries the warriors in dirt, he laughs, he moonwalks before he jumps on their head threes head before landing on the middle
"Hee hee." Cole said as he spins on his toes
"Our turn." Lloyd said as (Y/N) nodded
"Face the power of creation and destruction!." (Y/N) yelled as they concentrated their powers and summoned the Golden and Purple dragon which roars
"Retreat!." Kozu yelled as they ran out, inside the bounty they cheer
"They did it!." Nya cheered
"Yes." Wu smiled
"Perhaps good will win after all." Misako said hugging Wu
"Hmm." Wu hugged back

At the Celestial clock, Garmadon scolds the Overlord
"It appears your indestructible army isn't as tough as it appears to be." Garmadon said annoyed
"The ninja may be getting stronger, but so are we. When the Celestial Clock reaches zero, the ultimate weapon will be complete, and then there will be nothing the ninja can do to stop you from turning Ninjago into your image!." The Overlord said
"But what about the Purple Ninja? My conquest will not be complete without him!." Garmadon yelled
"Do not worry, I have plans for him, just you wait." The Overlord laughed evilly
