Season 2 Episode 22: The Last Voyage

At a pier, the Falcon squawks as Zane and Wu look through binoculars and spot the Dark Island
"Hmm, most peculiar. Yesterday there was just ocean, but now there is an island." Zane spoke confused
"The Dark Island Zane. And what I find more peculiar is after Ninjago City was attacked by the Stone Army, today they have vanished." Wu said
"Do you think they are on this Dark Island? Garmadon may be responsible." Zane concluded
"I fear that too. But what's most important is we have to find out what is on that island." Wu said
"Perhaps my Falcon can have a look." Zane said looking at the Falcon before sending it off. Meanwhile the others work on the bounty
"Ugh, useless piece of junk." Jay groaned as he gets splashed with oil
"Oh, it's worse than I feared. The rotors on the starboard booster are completely destroyed. The port boosters are shot from the Strain. Oh, sorry guys. She's not getting airborne anytime soon." Nya apologised as (Y/N) puts a hand on her shoulder
"It's not your fault, we've done everything we can do." (Y/N) said as Nya nodded
"So if the Stone Army attacks again, we're sitting ducks?." Cole asked
"Uh, ducks can fly Cole. Weren't you listening?." Jay asked
"We just got our tails handed to us and we couldn't even stop one of them." Kai groaned
"Yeah, even my powers didn't do much to them." (Y/N) said as Kai sighed
"Ugh, I hate feeling hopeless." Kai sighed
"We mustn't give up hope Kai." Wu said walking over
"But the Stone Army is indestructible. You saw it. At best all my powers could do was slow them down, (Y/N)'s powers couldn't even stop them." Lloyd said
"That's not entirely true. There is a way to defeat them. And it is told within the scrolls." Misako said as they walked into the bounty where Misako shows them a scroll
"The prophecy reveals that the power to defeat the Stone Army lies within the Green and Purple Ninja." Misako said
"We tried. We gave them everything we had." Lloyd said
"Yeah, we were putting our A-game on the table, and we didn't even stop them." (Y/N) said
"But you are stronger than you think. Look. The true power of the Green and Purple Ninja can only be unlocked when the Green Ninjas four protectors find their own pure elemental power." Misako said
"Wait? What about me?." (Y/N) asked
"It says here, that the Purple Ninja will unlock his true powers when he finds the true symbol of destruction."  Misako answered reading the scroll
"Wait a minute. When you said protectors...Are we the protectors?." Cole asked
"Pfft, silly question. Of course we are. Haha, right?." Jay asked
"If we are the protectors, then we're doomed. Our elemental Golden Weapons no longer exist. We cannot tap into our elemental powers without them." Zane explained
"But the powers do exist within each of you. And there is a way to unlock your powers on your own. We must go to the Temple of Light." Misako explained
"Temple of Light? What's that?." Nya asked
"The gold in the Golden Weapons was from the Golden Peaks, but they were forged in the temple of Light, a powerful place I thought only existed in legend." Misako said
"It's on the Dark Island?." Wu asked
"I think our only choice is to find out." Misako said
"So we get our powers back? All right!." Cole smiled
"But there's still on big problem. The bounty can't fly." Nya said
"It's a ship right? Can't it sail?." Misako asked
"Silly question. Of course it can, haha. Right?." Jay asked smiling as (Y/N) smiled
"Next course! The Dark Island!." (Y/N) smiled

The bounty was set on the dock as the ninja sat their goodbyes
"Now promise me you'll eat your vegetables." Edna said to Jay
"Mom!." Jay yelled embarrassed
"Oh, I mean it. You get sluggish when you don't get enough vitamins. Ed, tell him if he's gonna save the world, he has to eat his vegetables." Edna said looking at Ed
"Uh, do what your mother says." Ed said
Meanwhile with Cole, he says goodbye to his dad
"I don't know what to say." Lou said sadly
"You don't have to say anything." Cole said
"You're right. I don't have to say anything. But I do have to sing." Lou smiled as he meets up with his Royal Blacksmiths
"Who's gonna save Ninjagos hide? Who's gonna make a dad swell with pride? Cole is! Cole does! Cole, Cole, Cole." Lou sang as everyone hummed, the crowd applauded
"That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard pop." Cole smiled as they hugged
Meanwhile Kai talks with dearth
"Now, Dearth, as the honorary Brown Ninja, we're entrusting you with protecting Ninjago and tending to the Ultra Dragon. Are you up to the tasks?." Kai asked
"I won't let you guys down. Did you hear that? I'm officially the Brown Ninja!." Dearth yelled to the crowd who cheers, he then looks at Kai again
"Oh, what's my elemental power?." Dearth asked
"Uh, hot air?." Nya questioned
"So I command the wind. Cool." Dearth smiled
Lloyd rides the ultra Dragon
"You need to stay here big guy. These people need your protection." Lloyd said the the Ultra Dragon
Meanwhile, Zane and (Y/N) sighs as they look at everyone spending time with each other
"Is there anyone you both would like to say goodbye to?." Wu asked
"My only family is my Falcon. And my only memory of my father was nearly erased." Zane said sadly
"My only family is you Sensei, I know nothing of my real family, if I even have a real family." (Y/N) said sadly Wu then notices the fans
"Well, my Nindroid friend and my son, there are a few people who would like to say goodbye to you." Wu said pointing at the fans cheering at them
"I love you, you stupid Nindroid." Rufus said
"We love you Purple Ninja!." A few girls yelled
Nya heard the commotion and got jealous as she walked up to (Y/N) and wrapped his arm on hers making him blush, she then walks away with (Y/N)
"It appears Nya grew jealous of (Y/N)'s fans." Zane said
"Hmm, seems like my son has found himself his other." Wu said stroking his beard
"Nya what are you doing?." (Y/N) asked as they stopped just at the entrance of the bounty
"Uh, I just thought I would spend some time with you before we head off to the Dark Island." Nya chuckled as (Y/N) smirked
"You got jealous didn't you?." (Y/N) chuckled as Nya blushed
"What? No!." Nya yelled as she punched his shoulder before they laughed, they both then leaned on each others shoulders, resting their heads together
"I'm going to miss this." (Y/N) said as they looked at the ocean, they stop leaning on each other and looked at each other again, both leaning in until....
"Pupils, it's time we set sail." Wu said as they backed away from each other blushing again
"We should get going." (Y/N) said not looking at her
"Uh, yeah, we should." Nya said also not looking at him
As they board they wave goodbye
"Goodbye!." Jay yelled
"See you!." Cole yelled
"So long!." Kai yelled
"Farewell!." (Y/N) yelled as Dearth blows towards the ship direction
"You see that? It's working!." Dearth cheered as he continued while everyone cheered
"Jay! Did you make sure to pack clean underwear?." Edna yelled embarrassing Jay
"Yes, mom!." Jay yelled embarrassed as everyone laughs at him as they sail away
"We still have a long journey ahead of us." Wu said as they entered the bridge
"Still no word from your Falcon?." Cole asked
"Not yet." Zane said
"We'll hear from the Falcon soon." (Y/N) reassured
"I wonder what's on the island?." Kai wondered
"An entirely new ecosystem?." Zane questioned
"Never before seen creatures?." Cole questioned
"New materials never seen or used by anyone?." (Y/N) questioned
"Oh, vegetables that taste like dessert?." Jay asked
"No Jay, grow up and eat your vegetables." (Y/N) sighed as Jay groaned
"I hope the Stone Army is there. They may have gotten the best of us once, but never again." Kai said
"You said it." Cole said
"Hear, hear!." Jay cheered
"I wonder if this is the end of our destiny?." Lloyd wondered
"If it is, there isn't anyone else I'd want by my side." Kai said
"Hear, hear!." Jay agreed
"You said it." Cole smiled as (Y/N) groups them in a hug
"After everything we've done together, after everything we've been through, if this is the end, I'm glad we met and became friends, there's nothing more in this world that can change that, if this is the end, then what a better way to finish it then together?." (Y/N) asked as they cheered
"Hear, hear!." Jay agreed
"You said it!." Cole smiled
"Yeah!." Kai smiled as Zane activated his Falcon vision
"My Falcon had arrived at the Dark Island!." Zane said as he plugs himself to the computer so everyone can see what he sees
"There, now we can all see." Zane said as they watched the Falcon approach the island, only for it to be struck down by a Stone warriors weapon, Zane gets sent flying back as everyone gasps
"He's...he's gone." Zane looked sad
"We don't know that." Wu said trying to reassure him
"Oh, Zane. Im so sorry." Nya apologised
"Well, he was our friend too, so we're not gonna let him go in vain. If the Stone Army wants a fight, they got one." Kai said determined
"Yeah, they messed with the wrong Falcon, the wrong ninjas, and the wrong side. We're gonna stop them no matter what." (Y/N) said as they nodded at him
"Well, that's going to have to wait because right now, we're sailing straight for a storm. All hands on deck." Misako said as they saw the grey clouds

Meanwhile on the Dark Island, the stone scouts collect Dark Matter
"This is foolish. I have an unbeatable army to conquer Ninjago and yet we waste time playing in the mud?!." Garmadon yelled annoyed
"What you call mud is concentrated evil. A Dark Matter that with one drop could make a man's heart turn as black as night. Have patience Garmadon. The Celestial Clock ticks backwards to doomsday and cannot be stopped. Your time will come, but we must prepare. We must build a super weapon the likes of which had never been seen." The Overlord said much to Garmadons please
"Hmm. A super weapon? I like the sound of that!." Garmadon laughs evilly
"Now, tell me more of this... Purple Ninja of yours...." The Overlord asked as Garmadon smiled evilly

Back on the bounty, the ninja excluding Jay try to stabilise the ship
"Hold the line!." Cole yelled as they held the line for the mast of the ship
"The winds are too strong!." Lloyd yelled
"We need everyone's help, Jay!." Zane yelled looking at the blue ninja
"But I don't wanna get wet. I...I only have one pair of underwear." Jay admitted embarrassed
"Jay! Get over here now!." (Y/N) yelled
"I'm serious! I only have the one!." Jay yelled
"Jay, this is no time to be making jokes. The bounty can only take so much." Kai said much to jays annoyance
"You think I'm trying to be funny?." Jay asked as he hears laughter
"Okay, laugh all you want, but we'll see who laughs last when I have to go commando." Jay said
"Who's laughing?." Kai asked
"I think jays lost his marbles." (Y/N) grunted as he held the line
"Ugh, it sounds like some of us are getting a kick out of this." Nya said annoyed
"That's not laughter." Misako said
"What is that sound?." Wu asked as a starfish like creature jumps onto and clings on the window
"Starteeth!." Misako yelled
Outside the ninja keep the line
"Uh, guys, why is the sea laughing at us?." Kai asked
"And why do I have the feeling we're not gonna get the joke?." Jay asked as multiple Starteeth land on the bounty
"Hey, what's that?." Cole asked as he released the rope
"Woah!." Zane, Kai, Lloyd and (Y/N) yelled
"I'm coming! I got it!." Jay yelled as he ran over and grabbed the rope
"About time Jay!." Kai yelled annoyed
"We all have to pull our weight Jay!." (Y/N) yelled annoyed as Jay gets splashed by water
"Oh, perfect." Jay groaned
"Karma stings like a bee." (Y/N) said
"It looks like some sort of a, hmm, fish." Cole looked confused as he picked up the Starteeth to reveal teeth under it
"Wait! We must not let the Starteeth on board! They devour ships and won't stop until we sink!." Misako yelled as she ran out to the ninja, the Starteeth Cole held bites him
"Aaaahhh! It bit me!." Cole yelled as he threw it off him, unfortunately more Starteeth landed on board and some got onto the rope and ate it, make the mast unstable
"Huh, get these things off the ship!." Kai yelled as multiple Starteeth cling onto Kai
"Aargh! I'm starstruck! Uhh, good riddance, water vampires!." Kai yelled as he throws them off the ship
"Why is there so many of them?!." (Y/N) yelled as he fired his powers upon the jumping Starteeth
"Faster! Or we'll sink!." Lloyd yelled as they get more off
"Get off there!." Jay yelled as some cling onto his back
"Aah! Get them off! Get them off!." Jay yelled
"Use your Spinjtizu!." Kai yelled
"Ninja! Go!." Jay yelled using Spinjtizuto fling them off him, and onto the sail
"Okay, bad idea." Jay said
"Ninja! Go!." Everyone but Jay yelled as they did Spinjtizu to knock them off the ship
"Sink your teeth into this!." Kai yelled as Jay gasps seeing some eat a chain
"They eat through metal too?." Jay asked
"These things never quit!." (Y/N) as one bit his arm
"Aargh get off!." (Y/N) yelled as he ripped it off his arm and tossed it into the sea
"Uh, guys, I think we have a bigger problem." Lloyd said as he sees some Starteeth eating on the side of the bounty where they couldn't get them
"(Y/N)! Can you hit them?." Jay asked
"Not unless you want to risk the bounty into more danger then it is in already." (Y/N) said as ninja looked worried
"Oh, I should have brought an extra pair of underwear." Jay said

The next day, the ninja clean out the water from the bounty's under
"Ah, this is hopeless! Now that we have no rudder we've been drifting aimlessly and we'll never get to the Dark Island." Kai complained
"This is a huge crack in our way." (Y/N) said
"We only know what is foretold will happen. Not when it will happen." Misako said
"That's if there is a when, we have been here all night." (Y/N) sighed as Zane drops his bucket
"What is it, Zane?." Wu asked
"I sense something." Zane said
"Is it the Falcon?." Cole asked
"Is he all right?." Jay asked
"No, it's.....something else. Brace yourselves!." Zane yelled as they crash landed on a small island where a lighthouse sat, the ninja walk up to it
"Who would build a lighthouse way out here?." Lloyd asked
"Lloyd, I don't think this is a lighthouse." (Y/N) said
"(Y/N)'s right, it's a prison." Zane said as they walk up to the door, they hear growling from the water
"What was that?." (Y/N) asked spooked
"Oh, I should have brought an extra pair of underwear." Jay said spooked as well
"Mysterious. We better keep going." Wu said as they look at the door and see a camera
"Uh, should we smile?." Jay asked as Dr Julien opens the door
"Zane! Is it really you?." Dr Julien asked as he hugged Zane who looked shocked
"You found me!." Dr Julien smiled
"Uh, do you know him?." Lloyd asked
"Of course I know him! I built him for heavens sake." Dr Julien said freeing Zane from the hug much to their surprise
"But my memory tells me that you have passed." Zane asked confused
"Ah, you found your memory switch." Dr Julien said as they heard another growl
"Hurry, it can't know that you're here, or else there'll be dues to pay." Dr Julien whispered spooking Jay
"It?." Jay gulped
"I'll explain everything inside, including why it is that you thought I was dead." Dr Julien said as they rushed in, Nya looks at the bounty again
"Well, the bounty's sailing days are over." Nya said sadly
"Every good tales has their end, sadly for the bounty's, it went by to quick." (Y/N) said holding her hand
"Come, Nya and (Y/N)." Wu said as they walked inside
"Locking, barricading, hand checking." Dr Julien sighed as he locked everything up
"I think we're safe. This way." Dr Julien said as he lead them upstairs
"Please please, have a seat. You must be thirsty." Julien said as they looked confused
"Seat, where?." Zane asked as he pulls a lever
"There of course." Julien smiled as everyone looks impressed
"Wow, that's pretty smart." Nya complimented
"A technical wizard." Cole spoke amazed as they all sat
Julien passes a switch and everyone quietly watched as Tai-D serves them Tea. Jay decided to mess with it and gets tea poured on his groin, he reacts in pain as everyone laughs at him
"You really should've brought extra underwear!." (Y/N) laughed
Zane meanwhile sees photos of him and Julien from their past
"Father, I don't understand. I-i saw you pass." Zane spoke confused and sadly
"Yes, you did, and believe me when I tell you, I thought I was kaput, but as you know in Ninjago, the past is the past." Julien said
"And the future....
....is the future." Wu and Misako said
"Yes. But after I turned off your memory switch, what you didn't see is bonehead Samukai reviving me with a special elixir. He wanted me to create state of the art war machines for their army. He said if I did, then I would be able to see my son again. And to make sure I didn't escape, he chained a leviathan to keep guard." Julien explained
"A leviathan? That's what we heard in the ocean?." Lloyd asked
"Yes. When Samukai didn't return, I thought I would never see you again. But as so much time has passed I started to question if you would ever want to see me again. I was afraid if you found out what horrible things I've created, you would think I was a...a monster." Dr Julien said sadly as Zane looked at him
"We will get you out of here, father. Now that we are together, perhaps we can invent a way off this rock." Zane said
"Could you repair the rocket boosters on our ship?." Jay asked
"That sailing ship has rocket boosters?." Julien asked
"Well, the rotors and gears are shot." Nya said
"Eh, pish posh. No matter! I'll have your ship airworthy by dawn!." Julien smiled as the leviathan growls louder
"It's an earthquake!." Cole yelled
"No, it's much worse! He's here. Everyone hide!." Julien yelled as everyone ran and found spots to hide in, (Y/N) and Nya ran into a spot, he pulls Nya closer to him as they hide, (Y/N) slowly looks out and sees the leviathan outside of the window, he quickly ducks down again as it looks in his direction, holding Nya closer and tighter
"Nobody make a sound." Julien whispered as he sat on the table
"Aha, if it isn't my old chum." Julien smiled at the leviathan who noticed the bowls, Dr Julien quickly arranges them and uses chopsticks to tap them
"Hehe, just marching to the beat of my own drum. You know, doing whatever I can to pass the time. Since I'm so, you know, heh, alone." Julien said as the leviathan goes back into the ocean, everyone walks out, but (Y/N) and Nya have trouble moving and fall over each other, blushing
"Ugh! Sorry!." (Y/N) yelled as Nya got off him quickly, the others looked at them
"What was that all about?." Cole asked
"Nothing." The duo said together
"Well, ignoring that, if we're gonna make smelting and get out of here, we're gonna have to hurry before it comes back." Kai explained

Later, everyone begins working on the Bounty
(Y/N) helps Nya as he looks at her and admires her beauty, Nya looks at him and he quickly looks away, Nya smiles at him at his attempts of not looking at her, (Y/N) glimpses at her before she chuckles
"What?." (Y/N) asked as Nya just chuckles
"I'm serious what?." (Y/N) asked trying not to laugh
Meanwhile with the others, Cole whistles the weekend whip, the others look at him
"What? It's catchy?." Cole asked as Jay noticed Nya chuckling at (Y/N)
"What do you think they're doing?." Jay asked
"Working, like you should be doing." Kai said not looking up as Jay slightly gets jealous
Meanwhile inside, Dr Julien finishes a meal Zane made him
"Excuse me, but I must say, I have never had such a meal in all my life. Where did you learn to cook? I never programmed that into you." Julien asked Zane curiously
"I guess I just picked it up. Father, if I wanted you to make a change in me, would you?." Zane asked
"A change?." Julien asked
"An alteration." Zane corrected
"Heh, but Zane, you're perfect. I could never make you any better than you already are." Julien smiled
"But I see no reason for me to have a memory switch. I happen to like my life and don't want to ever forget you again." Zane said
"Don't worry my son. We will both never forget. I'm glad you found me." Julien smiled as Zane smiled back
"I'm glad you made me." Zane smiled as the leviathan growls again
"Everyone aboard! It's coming!." Julien yelled as they run outside and onto the bounty
"It's here!." Kai yelled
"Get us out of here, Nya!." Jay yelled
"I hope she's ready." Nya said as she pulls the lever
"Come on!." Nya yelled as they took off, only to be grabbed by the leviathan before it could get away
"Lloyd! (Y/N)! Use your Elemental powers!." Wu yelled
"As you wish Sensei." Lloyd said
"Alright let's do this beast!." (Y/N) yelled as they powered up
"Release us, you monster!." Lloyd yelled as he created a giant energy ball at the leviathan, while (Y/N) created a giant destruction ball at the leviathan making it roar in anger
"Well done, Lloyd and (Y/N)." Wu said as the Leviathan grabs them again. Zane noticed the leviathan was chained
"It's chained!." Zane yelled as he stood in the bounty's railings
"Zane! What are you doing?." Julien asked
"The leviathan won't let us leave. I think I know a way I can help." Zane said
"But you can't jump in. These oceans are filled with Starteeth." Julien said
"I know." Zane said as he dives in
"Zane! No!." Julien yelled
Zane dives into the ocean and sees the leviathans full body, he then sees the chains and finds Starteeth near it, he grabs them and puts them on the chain, he then swims up as the bounty is being pulled closer to the ocean
"Help!." Lloyd yelled as they almost reach the ocean, only to be freed
"It let us go." Kai said
"What happened?." Julien asked
"Zane released the leviathan, and now it's letting us go." Lloyd explained
"We weren't the only ones needing saving, we all were." (Y/N) concluded
"But where is my son?." Julien asked as Zane climbs back up
"I'm here father!." Zane said
"Zane! Zane." Julien hugged Zane
"How did you know if you freed it from captivity it would let us go?." Wu asked curiously
"Because no one deserves to be held captive. Not even a monster." Zane said as they looked at the leviathan swim away
"Farewell creature from the sea. Enjoy your freedom." Zane smiled as they fly off to the Dark Island
