Season 5 Episode 46: Ghost Story

The ninja get chased by Morro riding a corrupted Energy Dragon
"Take positions." Wu ordered
"Ah, I give you this much. That ninja never quits." Cole said looking at Morro
"Port side!." Zane yelled as they got attacked
"The cannons!." Cole yelled as Jay fires at him but misses
"Aah! Let me get this straight. You're just telling us now that you had another pupil before us, before (Y/N)? And now his cursed spirit has possessed Lloyd, all so that he can take your staff?." Jay looked confused as the Dragon attacks again
"That's it!." (Y/N) runs off and jumps off the Bounty
"(Y/N)!." They yelled as he came back riding his Purple Dragon
"Oh this is interesting, let's see if you put up a fight this time." Morro said as the two Dragons clashed with each other
"Yeah (Y/N)!." Jay yelled cheering him on
"Let go of Lloyd!." (Y/N) yelled as he jumped onto Morros dragon
"I think not!." Morro yelled as he gets up and started attacking (Y/N) with their fists, (Y/N) lands a solid punch on Morro sending him off his Dragon and making him land onto the bounty
"How's that for a fight?." (Y/N) glared at Morro as he landed on the Bounty, Morro then jumps up and makes some blades
"I need ink and parchment to make an imprint to see what's on the staff." Wu told them
"Kai and I will take you to our quarters while Jay, Cole and (Y/N) keep him busy." Zane said
"Round two? I'm set." (Y/N) cracked his knuckles
"Oh, that's honourable of you to nominate us." Cole glared at Zane
"Yeah, we didn't do hot last time. Why do it you get off with the easy task?." Jay asked
"Because I'm the intelligent one." Zane reasoned
"Ah, let's take this guy." Jay said as they fight Morro, Morro pushes back against Cole and Jay
"Hey Evil Green Ninja! Over here!." (Y/N) yelled kicking his head, Morro looked at (Y/N) who brought out his Sais, he rushed at him, the duo clashed blades holding their ground
"Maybe we can let (Y/N) handle this one." Cole said as (Y/N) gets tossed into the bridge
"Maybe not." Cole said as he and Jay look at Morro who runs at them
"Ugh, hey Nya." (Y/N) groaned
"I leave you for five minutes and you're already hurt again." Nya said helping him up
"Sorry to worry you, how about I make it up to you, say how about a date?." (Y/N) asked
"Save the romantic gestures for when this threats done with." Nya said as (Y/N) gets up
"Sorry." (Y/N) apologised as Cole and Jay get tossed around
"Uh, I should go help them, stay safe, love you." (Y/N) said as he jumped off the bridge and onto the deck again
"Ah, why am I steering the ship? There's a reason autopilot was invented." Nya said as she turns on autopilot and runs off
(Y/N) does Spinjtizu and pushes against Morros wind, Morro grunts as (Y/N) reaches him and uses his powers to punch Morro in the head
"Ugh!." Morro grunted
"Had enough yet?." (Y/N) asked as Morro gets up
"What's was that you said earlier? You were only just getting started?." Morro asked as he summons a powerful gust of Wind and sends it towards (Y/N) who summons a massive amount of his powers to stop it, Morro then uses his Wind to push (Y/N) into the back wall of the Bounty, he then spots Nya
"Nya!? What are you doing?." (Y/N) yelled as Nya dodged Morros attacks and fought back
"Helping you." Nya said with a determined face
"But what about the ship?." (Y/N) asked as the autopilot gets deflated
"Yeah, we really need to think of a new Autopilot." Nya said, they scream as the Bounty swerves

Meanwhile on the underside of the Bounty the ninja move
"Our quarters aren't much further." Zane said as Morro arrived
"Go Sensei, Kai and I will hold him back." Zane ordered Wu as Wu left

"We'll crash if we don't stabilise the bounty." Cole said as Nya makes her way to the steering wheel
"Ugh. Come on, pull up, pull up!." Nya yelled
Zane and Kai fight Morro, Zane gets hit in the head with a create
"Your team will fall apart without its Green leader." Morro glared at Kai who fought back
"Then good thing they have a Purple one." (Y/N) said glaring at Morro, Morro turns around and glared at him
"You just don't quit do you?." Morro asked annoyed kicking Kai away
"There's a saying, ninja never quit!." (Y/N) yelled as he tackles Morro and repetitively punches Morros head
"Go and protect Wu, kai!." (Y/N) yelled
"No, Lloyd's my responsibility too! If you fight, I fight!." Kai yelled as Morro tosses (Y/N) off him, Kai then tackles Morro and tosses him into a wall

Jay and Cole catch up with Nya
"Ah! Are you aiming for that mountain?." Jay asked
"Trying to rise above it! Ugh, a little help?." Nya asked as Cole and Jay help out, Nya turns on the boosters as the Bounty barely misses the mountain, it makes a hole which Kai almost falls out of
"I'm coming Kai!." Zane yelled as Morro tried to blast Kai out with his wind
"No!." (Y/N) yelled as he pushed Morro out of the way
"You arrogant child!." Morro yelled
"Look who's talking!." (Y/N) yelled back as Wu ran out to them
"You want the staff? Take it!." Wu yelled as he throws the staff out of the hole, Morro chased after it, Zane catches Kai before he falls out
"Got you." Zane said
"You good Kai?." (Y/N) asked
"Thanks for moving Morro out of the way." Kai thanked
"Primary thrusters destabilised, better hold on!." Nya yelled, Morro laughs as they crash in the Forest of Tranquility

"Okay, let's never do that again." Kai groaned as they walked out of the damaged bounty
"Ah, just think, if Sensei hadn't gotten rid of the staff, it could've been worse." Jay said
"Yeah, but now we don't know the message." Cole said
"Not exactly. I managed to make an imprint." Wu said as he shows them symbols
"But what does it all mean?." Jay asked
"My father told me long ago that he would leave a message, leading me to his final resting place. After he passed, I looked everywhere for it, not knowing it was in my hand all this time." Wu told them
"You mean to tell us-
"Yes. These symbols will lead us to the Tomb of the First Spinjtzu Master. Only problem is I haven't the foggiest idea what any of them mean." Wu told them
"Well, if Morro is trying to find the Tomb, we gotta find it first." Kai said
"Hey, maybe Misako can help decipher the clues since she's a total history buff." Cole said
"PIXAL, release the Falcon and give her our location." Zane ordered as the Falcon flies off
"Good, then we set up camp." Wu said as they start a small fire and sit on logs, Nya rests her head on (Y/N)'s shoulder
"Wu, I'm still confused, if you had a pupil before me? How long was I gonna be until I found out about this?." (Y/N) asked as Wu looked at him
"There were somethings I didn't want to tell you, some things of my past I too was ashamed of, I never wanted to tell you about this for I feared you'd leave me too." Wu said sadly
"What do you mean?." (Y/N) asked as Wu looked at everyone to
"Care to hear a ghost story?." Wu asked
"If it means saving Lloyd, of course." Zane said as Wu began to tell them a story
"Morro may have been my first pupil, but he was also my greatest regret. Before he was a cursed Spirit, it wasn't I who found him... but he who found me. My brother had just gone off to train under Master Chen, which gave me time to attempt my hand at teaching, before (Y/N), Morro was the perfect student. He did everything that was ever asked of him." Wu told them

Young Morro falls over during training
"Get up." Young Wu ordered Morro who got up again

"I had shown him things he had never seen. And he showed me a few things too. He had a power over the Wind I had never seen. He was a descendant of an Elemental Master. It was then I thought I had found the one. Perhaps he would wear green." Wu told them
"Woah, woah, woah! Back up. You're saying Morro, the Master of Wind, was gonna be the Green Ninja?!." Jay yelled as the wind shifts making the fire become bigger
"Uh, did that just happen? Maybe I don't like ghost stories." Cole said slightly scared
"How come you thought Morro would wear green and not purple?." Zane asked
"The Purple Ninja GI was destined to be worn by someone who held powers of immense Destruction." Wu told them as they looked at (Y/N), Nya kept held of (Y/N)'s hand as she kept her head rested of his shoulder
"What happened next Sensei?." Zane asked
"After I told him he could be the Green Ninja, there was a hunger unmatched." Wu told them

Past Morro kicks some of the other trainees making them fall. Aggressively
"Get up. Get up!." Morro yelled as he held up a student
"Enough!." Past Wu yelled
"But Sensei, I'm gonna be the Green Ninja, and if any of these losers are gonna be the Purple Ninja, then they better up their game." Past Morro said looking at past Wu
"I said, enough!." Wu yelled before he leaves in annoyance, leaving Morro

"There was an arrogance in him, I feared I had made a terrible mistake. But it wasn't for me to decide. It was destiny. When the Golden Weapons didn't respond like they did for Lloyd later, I knew Morro wouldn't become the Chosen one." Wu told them

Past Morro and past Wu stand near the Golden Weapons that didn't respond
"I'll train more, learn more lessons." Past Morro said trying to change destiny
"I'm sorry, destiny had spoken." Past Wu apologised
"Then I refuse to listen! I am the Green Ninja! You made me believe!." Past Morro yelled ripping a door off its hinges

Past Morro disturbed a Grundle, Wu saves him at the last minute
"You see Sensei? It was destiny for you to save me. I can still be the Green Ninja." Past Morro smiled at past Wu who looked upset

"I knew right there and then I could not teach those who would not listen. He told me he would find my fathers tomb to prove he was worthy. I told him it could not be found. My father had left no message. I left the gate open in hopes he'd return, but he never came back. I am saddened he was banished to the Curse Realm. But what worries me more is that he escaped, and for what reason? To save Lloyd and return your powers, you must find the tomb before he does. Or else." Wu told the ninja
"Or else what?." Jay asked scared
"Unspeakable power will curse us all." Wu told them as Jay nervously laughs
"Just another day in Ninjago, am I right?." Jay asked nervously
"This is different. Lloyd is at stake." Kai told Jay
"But how can we compete against the Green Ninja? He's more powerful than all four of us combined." Cole said looking at the other three
"But not for me, I've been holding back cause I don't want to hurt Lloyd, but I know Lloyd will forgive me, he knows I'd never hurt him, so if you guys can get me close, I can slow him down." (Y/N) told them
"But what about you?." Nya asked
"I'll be fine, being a creation of the Overlord has its benefits." (Y/N) smirked
"But what about the rest of us? We don't have our powers unlike you." Cole said looking at (Y/N)
"But it's like Sensei said. Our real power doesn't come from our hands, it comes from inside here." Kai said tapping his chest
"This is Lloyd we're talking about. This is one mission we cannot fail." Kai told them

Morro meanwhile arrives at the Biker Tavern
"Thirsty?." The Bartender asked
"Insatiable." Morro told him as he takes a drink
"Ah, it's been awhile." Morro smiled as he Interrupted a pool game to see the symbols
"Oh, of course." Morro smiled
"You're a bit young for a place like this, ain't ya?." A man asked
"Wrong place to come if you ain't got friends, if you know what I mean." Another man said as Morro smiled
"Oh, I have friends." Morro said as he summons Wrayth to fight them
"Ah, you know where you're going?." Wrayth asked as Morro chuckles
"I do now. But make sure no one else tries to stop me." Morro instructed
"Hmm. It'd be my pleasure." Wrayth said as Morro summons his dragon
"Nice ride." Wrayth complimented
"Take on of your own." Morro told him as Wrayth turns a bike into his Chain Cycle

In a dream, Kai walks up to Lloyd on the docks
"Don't worry, big shot, I'll watch over you from now on." Kai said as a Fangfish consumes Lloyd
"No! Ah!." Kai screamed as he is awoken by a Walloper licking him
"Hmm. Ugh! Ew!." Kai groaned
"You're finally awake, Misako got our message and made you breakfast." (Y/N) told Kai
"Good, I'm starving." Kai said
"We put your plate down over there." Nya said as Kai groans seeing his Walloper eating his food
"Here, take some of mine." (Y/N) said giving Kai his food
"Thanks." Kai said eating
"As far as I knew, the tomb was only a fable, until I saw what's on the staff." Misako told them
"Does she know what the symbol means?." Kai asked
"Not the last two yet, but get this. The first symbol means Airjitzu." Cole told Kai
"Airjitzu?." Kai looked confused
"A lost martial art created by Sensei Yang, who passed years ago. If mastered, it allows one to temporarily take flight." Misako told them
"You hear that, Kai? We get to fly!." Jay smiled
"Temporarily, remember that Jay." (Y/N) said
"But we still have flight!." Jay smiled
"I know!." (Y/N) smiled as the duo high fives
"You haven't found it yet. The Scroll of Airjitzu is well guarded in the ancient Library of Domu." Wu told them
"Forgive me if I speak out of turn, but my records reveal it was recently stolen." Zane told them
"By who?." Jay asked gasping
"Ah, let me guess. Ronin." Cole said annoyed
"Who's Ronin?." Nya asked
"Someone we don't have a pleasant past with." (Y/N) said looking annoyed
"But this is good news." Jay smiled
"Uh, how so?." Cole asked
"Aargh. Cause if Morro doesn't know this, he'll
Be heading to the library." Jay told them
"And Ronins most likely holed up in the village of Stiix, which gives us a head start." Cole told them
"Then it's set. The ninja will head to Stiix. We three will head back to the Tea shop and start deciphering the next clues." Wu said
"But Lloyd's my friend too. The ninja will need my help-
"I'm sorry Nya. You're sitting this one out. There's too much to be done here." Wu told Nya who looked down sadly, (Y/N) approached her
"I'll see you soon, stay safe." (Y/N) told her as they quickly kiss
"I love you, stay safe." Nya told him as they walk up to their Wallopers and mount, Kai tried to mount his
"Uh, okay. Stand still." Kai said as he falls off but gets back on, he groans
"Don't worry sis. With me in charge, this scroll will be ours in no time." Kai told her
"Cause time flies when you know Airjitzu! Get it? Haha." Jay laughed
"Bros on a roll with the puns, soon your puns are gonna go sky high." (Y/N) said as Jay laughs
"Oh dude, you're too good!." Jay laughed
"Be careful ninja, for the path we seek is never a straight line. Rely on each other to guide your way." Wu told them
"Hyah! Hahaha!." Kai laughed as he realised the other have left without him
"Wait up! I'm supposed to be leading here!." Kai yelled
"Nah that's (Y/N)'s job!." Cole yelled as everyone laughs, Kai groans

Morro arrives at the Library of Domu
"Aargh!." Morro yelled as he finds the scroll missing, he turns to a monk
"Sensei Yangs scroll. Where is it?." Morro asked
"Oh yes. Sensei Yang will be sorely missed. His teaching will always-
"Where's the Scroll of Airjitzu!?." Morro yelled holding him up by the collar
"It was s-stolen a-a few days ago by that thief they call R-R-Ronin." The Monk said as Morro throws him and runs off
"Uh, excuse me. Uh, could we get your autograph?." Another monk asked
"Autograph?." Morro looked confused
"You're the Green Ninja, right? Mind if we all get a selfie with you? And where's the Purple Ninja? You both are always hanging with each other." Another Monk said looking confused
"He's had, other plans." Morro said as the monks shrug, Morro grunts as they take a selfie with him. He then runs off

Meanwhile the ninja are travelling in a desert
"92,898 bottles of tea on the wall, 92,898 bottles of tea. You take one down and pass it around, 92,8-
"Enough! I'm really thirsty so we don't need to keep singing about tea." Kai yelled at the other four who sang
"Buzz kill!." (Y/N) chuckled
"Someone should've had their breakfast." Cole chuckled
"It's not my fault (Y/N) didn't have a huge amount of food." Kai groaned
"Hey, it was either that or you starve man." (Y/N) told Kai
"Ugh, we've been following the sun for hours. We should've arrived at Stiix already." Kai groaned
"But Stiix is on the eastern coast. We should be riding away from the sun." Zane said
"Why are you just telling us now?!." Jay yelled
"Because, Kai wanted to lead." Zane said
"Why did you have to give Kai the lead (Y/N)?!." Cole yelled
"Cause if I heard him groaning and mumbling about not leading I was gonna blast him into next week." (Y/N) said
"Great! We're officially lost! You know, we had a leg up, but nooo. Kai wanted to lead." Cole groaned
"I swear, my gut says we should be following the sun." Kai said
"Ugh, you're arguing with a Nindroid. He's a walking computer. This is why when Lloyd is gone we put (Y/N) in charge, but even he knows we should follow Zane in situations like this." Jay groaned
"And I'm forever appreciated that I'm nominated second leader when Lloyd is gone, and I'm honoured to nominate Zane as our Travel guide." (Y/N) smiled
"I'm honoured." Zane smiled
"Well, I still think it's that way. And when I learn Airjitzu first, we'll see who's right." Kai said as his Walloper follows everyone else
"Aargh! Hey! No! This way! Ugh!." Kai groans as his Walloper won't listen
"Ugh, fine. Well follow Zane." Kai groaned, Zane then sees train tails and rides towards it
"He's already found something. Let's go. Train tracks." Cole smiled
"They lead straight to Stiix." Zane smiled
"Hey, you hear that, Kai? They lead to Stiix. We follow Zane and look what happens." Jay smiled
"But Sensei said the path we seek is never a straight line." Kai argued
"He also said rely on each other." Zane said
"Yeah, Kai, pfft." Jay chuckled as the four starting singing against Kai's wishes

Back at Steep Wisdom, Nya complains
"Who needs to go on an epic quest when my services are best needed here?." Nya complained
"You need to tell her." Misako said looking at Wu
"She's not ready." Wu said
"And you waited this long to tell them about Morro, and how did that go?." Misako countered as Wu nods
"Nya dead, we didn't exactly hold you back to care for the shop." Misako said
"Really? Then why?." Nya looked confused, Wu sighs
"Um, there's something I haven't told you about your parents." Wu said
"Ah, you can save it. Kai already told me that Chen dangled that carrot too. We looked into it and we know our father used to be a Master of Fire, Not exactly mind-shattering." Nya said waving it off
"But did you know your mother was the Master of Water?." Misako asked shocking Nya
"I...I didn't know that, you mean-
"Yes, Kai took on the traits of your father to become a Fire Ninja, for the sake of Saving Ninjago, you must train to become the Master of Water." Wu told Nya who drops a jar and faints
"Huh. You're right, she wasn't ready." Misako said looking at Nya

"Uh, I wish Lloyd was here for that." Jay said
"So do I. But we'll find the tomb. And then, we'll save him." Kai told Jay
"I wonder why the tombs so important." Cole wondered
"I don't know, Sensei says it holds unspeakable power." Jay said
"It's the tomb of the First Spinjtizu Master. Whatever secret it holds, it must be protected." Kai told them, Zane sees a train station
"Let's take a break here." Zane smiled
"Finally." (Y/N) smiled as Cole heard someone laughing
"Uh, did you hear that?." Cole asked
"Yeah, I did, but... we're in the middle of nowhere." Jay said as they hear another laugh
"I don't know, but be on guard." Kai said as they see Wrayth on the Chain Cycle
"What is that?." Jay asked
"Ghost!." (Y/N) yelled as Wrayth approached
"Watch out!." Cole yelled as Zane throws his Shurikens at him only to pass through
"My shurikens. They went right through him!." Zane yelled
"Because he's a ghost!." Jay yelled
"Morro must have summoned some friends. We're sitting ducks out in the open. We need to take shelter!." Kai yelled as they get off the Wallopers and run to the station
"Watch out!." Kai yelled as Wrayth comes around again
"Oh, God, he's coming for another pass!." Jay yelled as Wrayth destroys the station
"There is no shelter!." Cole yelled as Wrayth uses his chain on a Walloper
"He turned my Walloper into a ghost. No one turns my Walloper into a ghost!." Cole yelled
"Ugh, get outta here. Hyah! Hyah!." Jay shooed the Wallopers away
"Where did he go? I can't see him." Kai said as they looked around
"Stay on guard." (Y/N) told them
"And stay together." Zane told them
"If our weapons do nothing, how are we supposed to fight a ghost?." Jay asked
"Good question." Kai said as he sees Wrayth
"There he is! Watch out!." Kai yelled as Wrayth grabs Kai's leg with his chain
"Huh? That's not good. Ahh!." Kai screamed
"Hang on Kai!." (Y/N) yelled grabbing his Sais and destroyed the chain
"I'm okay, everyone! I'm okay, thanks (Y/N)." Kai thanked
"Just stay cautious." (Y/N) told Kai
"He's gonna pick us off one by one isn't he? There's nothing we can do." Cole said
"He's underground! Aah!." Kai screamed as Wrayth emerged
"Stand back." Cole said as he grabs Wrayths chain and traps it onto a nearby water tower, they scream when Wrayth gets up, he then gets hit by a train
"Haha. Now that's how you stop a ghost." Cole smiled
"Bro, he's a ghost, that will do nothing." (Y/N) said as Wrayth approached
"Your purple friend is right, it won't do anything. Your world will pay dearly when Morro finds the tomb. And when he does, he will take possession of the-
Before Wrayth could finish he pulls his chain on the water tower and splashes himself and dissolves
"What, uh, what just happened?." Cole looked confused
"He just... dissolved." (Y/N) looked confused
"Yeah, but he was just gonna tell us what was in the tomb. Couldn't it have waited another second?." Jay asked annoyed
"We may not know what's in the tomb, but we do know one thing. How to stop a ghost." Kai said
"Water?." Jay, Cole, (Y/N) and Zane asked
"Unusual, I guess it's true. The path we seek is never a straight line." Zane said
"Uh, speaking of straight lines, if that trains heading to Stiix, wouldn't it be faster if we...
They all chase the train
