Season 2 Episode 21: The Day Ninjago Stood Still

The next day rolls around, at the City of Ouroboros, the Serpentine cheer as Skales gets crowned as the Serpentine king
"Skales! Skales! Skales!." They chanted excluding the generals, he smacked a box out of Skalidor hands
"Idiot." Skales said before looking at the crowd
"Oh, thank you, thank you." Skales thanked before looking at the other generals
"Get down, get down." Skales said so only they could hear, he then looked at the crowd once more
"You're too kind!." Skales yelled before seeing Acidicus was still with him
"Scram. Go, go, go." Skales said to Acidicus, shooing him away, he once again looks at the crowd
"Hypnobrai, Venomari, Constrictai and Fangpyre. Hear me! The trouble region of the duplicitous human Garmadon....
In the crowd some of the snakes fought each other
"You're it." Mezmo said punching Spitta
"No, you're it." Spitta said
....is finally at an end. At last, our time has come." Skales said
"Hahahahah, not you!." Mezmo laughed as hit slaps Spitta on the back of his head
"We serpentine must now unite in a common destiny. To secure our place as rulers of Ninjago, and not let those insufferable surface dwellers win. So as my first order, I say we burrow beneath their beloved city, to bury them as they once buried us! Fellow Serpentine, it's time we knock Ninjago City back down to size!." Skales yelled as the crowd cheers

Meanwhile in Ninjago city, the ninja train a blindfolded Lloyd, the ninja have their weapons on them
"Don't rely on your eyes. Use your ears." Cole said
"Not only will this be a teaching lesson, but this will also heighten your other senses." (Y/N) said as Dearth walked in
"Uh, guys, I'm teaching a class later, so I'd appreciate a clean dojo." Dearth said only for everyone to ignore him as they attacked Lloyd, he knocks Jay back into the fake trophies he then gets back up at tries to fight Lloyd again
"Aah!." Jay screamed as Lloyd sent him flying into the window, Dearth quickly opened it to prevent it from smashing
Lloyd used his fire powers and sets a small bit of the carpet on fire
"No, no, no, no!." Dearth yelled putting it out with a fire extinguisher, outside Jay gets up and tired to enter from the window
"Hey, open the window! Let me in!." Jay yelled jumping at the window

Meanwhile on the Destiny's bounty, Wu looks at a photo of a younger him, Misako and a pale Garmadon with red eyes, Misako walks in much to Wu's surprise
"I'd forgotten how pale Garmadon was before he change to evil was complete." Misako said startling Wu who puts the picture away in his hat
"Misako, once again, you slip through my defences." Wu said looking at her
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry. I brought my research on the prophecy of the Green and Purple Ninja, I thought maybe we could go over it together." Misako said as Wu grabs some but accidentally drops them
"Hmm, my. There's so much. It will take days." Wu said as he starts picking them up
"I should have chosen you." Misako said as Wu sighs
"The past is the past." Wu said
"Yes, but there's always a future." Misako said as they feel the ground rumbling
"The ground moves. I fear unnatural causes." Wu said as they go to the dojo
On the ground a TV plays
"NGTV reporter Gayle Gossip on the scene of what appears to be an earthquake rocking the city of Ninjago. But it's an earthquake like no other, as scientists have yet to pinpoint the cause. And more frightening still, the aftershocks are getting stronger." Gayle reported as everyone on the street gasps
"What do you think this could be?." Cole asked
"You guys don't think it could be Garmadon do you?." (Y/N) asked
"Wouldn't be surprised if it was Garmadon, we haven't seen him for awhile." Kai said
"He would never. Lloyd's father is evil, but he would never do anything to put his son or nephew in harms way." Misako said
"I highly doubt that from what he's done, but it is also partially true." (Y/N) said
"Misako's right. He's only tried to thwart his training and acquire (Y/N) as he's apprentice, this is something else." Wu said
"But what is it?." Jay asked as Zane whistled to the Falcon
"My friend, be my eyes and look for danger in the streets from above." Zane said as the Falcon flew off
"Come on, we should help the citizens get onto safer ground." (Y/N) said as they nodded

Meanwhile underground, Skales ordered the Constrictai to dig up under Ninjago city
"Drill baby, drill!." Skales yelled as some Devourer venom touches his arm
"Ugh! Disgusting! This infernal Devourers venom has seeped everywhere!." Skales complained in disgust only to bump into Snike
"Ugh, why are we stopping?." Skales asked
"My lord, we've hit something. We can't dig through." Snike said as Skales didn't believe him
"Nonsense! There is no such thing." Skales said as he and the other generals see the Tomb of the Stone Army
"It's ancient. Perhaps older than the Serpentine themselves." Fangtom said looking at the tomb

Meanwhile on the Dark Island, Garmadon climbs a mountain, the overlord watching as he does
"This is madness! You treat me, Lord Garmadon?! Ninjagos rightful ruler!?." Garmadon questioned
"Patience, Garmadon. All will make sense in time. For now, follow my instructions." The Overlord said
"To what end? What is so important at the top of this cliff?." Garmadon asked
"The key to the greatest army ever seen. And the means to the greatest weapon ever known." The Overlord explained
"What good will these things do for me, marooned on this uninhabited island? How will I return to Ninjago?." Garmadon asked
"My master plan has been in the works since the beginning of time. Every piece moved in perfect harmony like the gears of a clock, slowly shifting the balance of power to darkness. Every piece, that is, but you." The Overlord explained
"All right then." Garmadon said as he jumped into another mountain

Back in Ninjago city, the ninja help some people as everyone panics from the earthquake
"Oh snickers! Stay there, mommy's coming!." A woman yelled as she saw her dog, she runs towards her dog, unfortunately the ground under her falls
"No! No! Stay where you are! Help! Help me!." The woman yelled as the ninja come to her rescue
"Ninja to the rescue! Go!." Lloyd yelled
"Go!." (Y/N) yelled
"Go!." Kai yelled
"Go!." Jay yelled
They jumped to the woman, making a ninja chain to reach her
"Few more inches guys." Lloyd said as snickers tries to help Cole who carries the ninja
"Appreciated the support doggy." Cole grunted as another chunk of the ground falls down
"Ugh. Could have thought this plan through a little more." Cole grunted and snickers whimpers
"No more help, please!." Cole grunted as Lloyd grabbed the woman, Cole then pulls them up
"Don't worry mam, you'll be out here in a sec." (Y/N) said as they got out of the
"Oh, thank you!." The woman thanked the ninja
"No sweat." Lloyd said
"Speak for yourself. I did all the work." Cole groaned as snicker pounced on him
"Ugh!." Cole groaned
"Well you made a new friend today Cole." (Y/N) chucked
"These things keep coming with no warning." Kai said
"That's it. A warning. The scrolls said the earthquakes would be a warning. A warning for something far worse to come." Misako said
"Far worse? What could be far worse?." Jay asked
"I get a feeling I know what's to come." (Y/N) said
"Misako, the indestructible Stone warrior we fought yesterday. Where did you find him?." Cole asked
"He was buried under the city." Misako answered as Jay gasps
"You don't think there's more do you?." Jay asked
"If from the story of the Overlord is true, then there may be more, but i fear the worst has yet to come still." (Y/N) said
"(Y/N) may be right, be on guard ninja, we must be ready for whatever comes our way." Wu said

Meanwhile underground, the serpentine are slowly being covered in the Devourers venom, some groan in disgust
"I will not accept defeat! This wall must be destroyed if we are to bring down Ninjago City. Call for every Serpentine and- what's this?." Skales asked looking at carvings on the wall
"It looks like you Skales." Skalidor said
"That's impossible." Skales said as he pushes Chokun to at it, but then pushes Chokun away
"Get away, you imbecile." Skales said
"Ugh! Sorry." Chokun apologised as Skales pushed a button which opens the door, he then slithers in
"Spooky." Skales said as he pulled a lever and the tomb lights turn on
"Spooky." Skales repeated as they examine the stone warriors
"Look at me, I'm a stiff." Lizaru mocked the warriors as he did the same pose as the warriors
"So stiff." Mezmo said as the duo laughed, what they didn't know was that the Devourers venom lands on them, bringing them to life, Skales noticed the warriors come to life, so did the others
"What? It's a trap! Attack!." Skales yelled as they attacked the warriors
"They're indestructible!." Snappa yelled as his sword breaks, the Venomari use their venom on the warriors only for nothing to happen
"Our powers have no effect on them. Do we retreat?." Acidicus asked
"No retreat. We're Serpentine, we fight!." Skales yelled as the stone warrior start to head towards the exit
"We'll be trapped underground again! No, this can't be true!." Skales yelled as he slithers after them, but as he reaches them the door closes
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!." Skales yelled as he bangs on the door and cries
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!." Skales yells echoed through the tunnel

Above ground, the Falcon catches a glimpse of a Stone Swordsman
"Sensei, it's as we feared. Another Stone Samurai warrior is loose on the streets." Zane said as more stone warrior appears near the ninja
"No. No." Kai said worriedly
"No!." Jay yelled
"We're under attack!." Wu yelled
"Hiya!." (Y/N) yelled blasting some off the warriors back
"Having you as the master of Destruction is a blessing in disguise." Jay said as the warriors got back up
"Ugh! Even my powers don't affect them!." (Y/N) yelled as Gayle appears on TV again
"As this army of stone statues sweeps over the city, no one is safe. Mayhem and destruction are their only want. Attempts at communication have failed, prohibiting even the desperate option if surrender! The mayor has already called for a massive evacuation!." Gayle yelled
Rufus runs out of his store
"Huh? What's this?." Rufus asked before going back in and grabbing his illuma sword and some comics and runs back out
"What about the privacy of mail?." The postman asked as a stone warrior picked up a mailbox, the postman flees
Cole's old boss runs inside of the vault of the bank as the stone warriors come towards him, he locks himself in the vault and whimpers
Dearth's students whimper as they are cornered
"Run!." Dearth yelled as everyone runs away, the stone warrior looks at him
"Heh, you picked on the wrong dojo." Dearth said as he grabs a katana and tries to hit him, the warrior grabs it and tosses it away
"Okay, warm ups over. Let's get serious." Dearth said grabbing a scythe and hits the head of the warrior with it, the warrior punches him into his fake trophies, he gets up
"Nice knowing you." Dearth said as he runs away, accidentally bumping into Vinny
"That's it, I'm out of here." Vinny said running away
"Quitter!." Gayle yelled at Vinny before looking at Dearth
"Ugh! You! Wanna be my cameraman?." Gayle asked
"Uh...not really." Dearth said as Gayle ignored
"Great! Follow me! I need this shot. You getting this?." Gayle asked as dearth grabbed the camera
"Uh, I hope so." Dearth said unsure as he points the camera at her
"I'm standing outside Grand Sensei Dearth's Mojo Dojo, training headquarters of the ninja, only to find that even here, no one is safe." Gayle reported as a stone warrior saw her and approached
"Um, Gayle, um-
"Hey. I talk, you film." Gayle said annoyed
"But Gayle-
"No buts." Gayle said as she gets grabbed by the stone warrior, Zane kicks him and (Y/N) catches her
"You good?." (Y/N) asked
"Thanks, Mr ninjas." Gayle thanked as (Y/N) dropped her back on her feet
"Dearth, what are you doing?." (Y/N) asked as Dearth held the camera
"I think I got a new job?." Dearth questioned as the two ninja reunited with the others
"Stay strong. Show no weakness." Cole said as the Ultra Sonic Raider arrives with Lloyd, Wu and Misako
"We have to protect the people. Gather as many as you can and get them to our evacuation point." Wu said as Nya appears on the screen of the Raider
"We've got problems with that evacuation point guys. I can't find a safe place to land!." Nya yelled as she flies the bounty above a rooftop where stone warriors tried to hit it with their weapons
"The NGTV office building had a helipad on the roof." Gayle said
"Yes, higher ground. Lloyd, tell Nya to head there." Wu ordered as Lloyd did so
"Citizens of Ninjago who have yet to evacuate the city, head to the NGTV building rooftop. Our heroic ninja will evacuate you from there! But hurry. We're running out of time." Gayle said as people who were still in the city watched it and ran over to there
"And you, stay safe. Stay out of trouble." Wu said to Misako
"Looks like that won't be possible." Misako said as they saw more Stone Warriors approaching
"Uh-oh. There are more of them." Lloyd said as the Ultra Dragon knocks them down
"Yeah! Haha!." Lloyd cheered
"Lloyd, did you practice your elemental quakes?." Wu asked as Lloyd chuckled
"Who needs to practice when you're a natural?." Lloyd asked as he jumped off the Raider and smashed into the ground creating a blockage, everyone then hops onto the Raider
"Thanks boy. Now see if you can help us find a way out of here." Lloyd said as he jumps onto the roof of the Raider as the ultra dragon makes a ice ramp by freezing the warriors
"Good. Now save yourself!." Lloyd yelled as they drove away and the Ultra Dragon flew away
"Hey, you guys drive, we fire." (Y/N) said as he climbed above, Lloyd nodded with the ninja
"Let's show these guys not to mess with the chosen ones." Lloyd said as the duo fired upon some warriors as they passed

Meanwhile on the Island of Darkness, Garmadon reached the top where the celestial clock is
"What is this?." Garmadon asked
"This clock was created to countdown to the Final Battle. Once one takes the Helmet of Shadows, the clock will start." The Overlord explained as Garmadon approached the helmet
"But he warned, though he who wears the Helmet of Shadows can travel between the Islands at will, once it's removed, the countdown cannot be stopped." The Overlord warned
"Any more warnings?." Garmadon asked
"No." The Overlord said as Garmadon grabs the helmet and dons it, he laughs evilly
"At last, the countdown to the final battle has begun. This helmet is your birthright. With it, you have control of the army." The Overlord said much to Garmadons confusion
"What army?." Garmadon asked
"My army." The Overlord said as Garmadon begins laughing again

Meanwhile at the NGTV, the ninja and the citizens arrived
"Barricade the doors." Cole ordered as they did so
"Now we head to the stairwell." Zane said
"Stairs? It's twenty floors. Let's just take the elevator guys." Dearth said pushing the elevator button
"Dude, not a good idea." (Y/N) said as Zane walked up
"(Y/N) is right, it is unwise to take the elevator durning an emergency. Dearth." Zane said
"Well, I think I'll take my chances." Dearth said as the elevator dings, a stone swordsman jumps out at him only to slip on a bucket and falls back in the elevator, Dearth presses the button again sending the warrior onto the lower levels
"Okay, stairs it is. Let's get climbing everybody ." Dearth yelled as everyone runs up the stairs, Dearth pants
"Guys, I need to rest." Dearth rests on the railings, only to hear something, dearth looks down and a stone swordsman pops up from under them
"Second wind!." Dearth yelled as he ran faster then before, accidentally knocking Misako'a scrolls down the stairs without her noticing, as they reach the top, the ninja look down and see the stone warriors approaching
"We must buy time for our gateway." Zane said
"How bout a little Spinjtizu?." (Y/N) asked as they nodded
"Ninja! Go!." They yelled as they use Spinjtizu on the warriors, knocking them down
"Lightning up!." Lloyd yelled as he and Jay pushed them down
"Not so tough." Lloyd said as they got up unharmed
"Woah, so tough." Lloyd said surprised
"Stand back!." (Y/N) yelled as he blasted them back with his powers which sent them down
"That should buy us a lot of time now." Zane said
"You're welcome, let's go to the bounty." (Y/N) said as they left the staircase to the rooftop
"Where's the bounty?." Dearth asked panting
"Look!." Misako pointed at the bounty which lowered itself, everyone cheers and Nya smiles
"Hurry, they're coming!." Lloyd yelled as everyone boards, Misako then notices her research is gone
"My research!." Misako yelled as she goes to run back in but Lloyd stops her
"No, mom. It's too dangerous to go back." Lloyd asked
"It's too important to leave behind." Misako said as she kissed Lloyd and runs off
"Now, now!." Kai yelled as they got more onto the bounty as the stone warriors started to arrive on the rooftop
Misako runs inside and attacks some Stone Warriors, she then sees her research tangled in the ceiling lights
"They just keep coming." Lloyd said as the stone warriors attacked
"Go, go!." Cole yelled as a warrior breaks one of the boosters
"Oh no. This is bad. We have everyone. We've gotta get out of here. Our only remaining booster won't last much longer." Nya explained as (Y/N) fired upon some warriors
"We have to wait for my mom." Lloyd said as Wu jumps off the ship to go after Misako
"Sensei/Father!." Lloyd and (Y/N) yelled as the bounty lies off
Meanwhile inside Misako manages to grab her research, but can't grab onto the railings
"I can't hold on....
"Misako, hang on!." Wu yelled as he fights a few stone warriors
...much longer." Misako said as she falls, but Wu saves her
"I have you now." Wu said as he pulls her up
"This way." Wu said as he lead her into a empty room
"There's no place to hide. We have to fight. Do you still know Spinjtizu?." Wu asked
"Do you forget you never beat me?." Misako asked
"I confess, I wasn't really trying." Wu confessed
"Neither was I." Misako admitted as the stone warriors entered
"Ninja! Go!." Wu yelled as they fought back
On the bounty Zane and Nya sees the duo on the bridge
"Nya, descend. Do it now!." Zane ordered
Inside the duo keep fighting
"I'm glad we go together." Wu said as they get surrounded by too many warriors
"Then let's go." Misako said as they turned and looked out of the window, they look at each other before jumping off as they fall, they land on the bounty
"What?." Wu looked confused as his hat falls off and the picture under it flies away, Misako gives him his hat back
"The past is past, remember?." Misako asked as Wu looked at her
"But there's always the future." Wu said as they hold hands, Lloyd and (Y/N) look at them while the bounty flies off

On the Dark Island, Garmadon stands on top of another mountain and smiles
"Garmadon is back, baby! Garmadon is back!." Garmadon yelled as he began laughing evilly
