Third Person POV

The pair sprinted down the halls. They held hands while running, so they wouldn't get separated. The boy frantically looked around before tugging the girl to the left. They then jumped over the barrier and fell onto the ground. They were in the back of the palace while sprinting through the fields.

The girl pointed up, so he turned to see the angels overhead. He gulped and allowed the girl to lead him into the shrub maze. Some of the trees obscured them from view. The girl then had a brilliant idea and led the guy to a makeshift cave. The duo quickly dove inside and pulled the vines to cover the opening.

They covered their mouths since they could hear the angels overhead. The guards began cursing at having lost the kids. The boy pushed a finger against his mouth to demonstrate being quiet. The girl slapped two hands over her mouth while swiftly nodding.

The girl jumped when they heard the angels land close by. She scooted backwards until she was next to the boy. They boy looked to his side to find the girl terrified. He took a deep breath and moved ahead of her. They watched as boots got closer to the opening.

The boy glanced over his shoulder to find the girl's terrified eyes. He gave her a look that indicated he'd protect her. She nodded and stared ahead as the boots were right outside. The boy turned around and held up his hands. His eyes narrowed as he intently stared ahead.

The solider then roughly moved the vines and stared inside.

"Anything?" Another solider approached.

"No." He sighed and shook his head. "No one here." He groaned and went back to his team.

The boy kept his arms outstretched until the soldiers' voices got farther away. The girl shakily touched his arm to move it down. The boy released a breath that he was holding the entire time. He held his head at the oncoming headache from focusing too hard.

"I knew you needed more practice." The girl smirked at him.

"Did I or did I not just save your life?" He scoffed.

"As if!" She shoved his shoulder. "You basically just showed them a green screen."

"Excuse me?!"

"You just waved your hands around." She smirked while mocking him.

"I'll have you know that illusions are far more complicate than you give them credit for. I have to think about exactly what I want them to see. I have to fill in any blank spots. And then I have to concentrate to ensure that the visuals stay constant and not-"

"Yawn!" She obnoxiously stretched. "Okay, Houdini. Get us a way out."

"Are you kidding? The moment we leave we'll be surrounded." The guy peeked outside.

"Duh, because once we leave the cave then our auras will be detectable." She said in a Duh tone.

"This is bad." He muttered. "This is really bad."

"Oh, chillax." She punched his arm. He looked at her in shock and rubbed his arm. "I'm starting to worry about your high blood pressure."

"High b-blood- do you not understand the gravity of this situation?! We are being hunted by royal soldiers!"

"Ya, I know. I was literally there." The girl paused. "Like right next to you."

"This is... how are we going to get out of this?" He groaned. "I know as a fact that Ajax has the palace on lockdown and is overseeing everything like a damn hawk!"
