"Really, Roman?" I sarcastically asked. "I should totally remain calm while there's a bounty out for my child's head?!" I snapped as I hurriedly walked down the halls.

"Not calm, but composed." He clarified and matched my stride. "Acting rashly will have dire consequences. You want to let the emotions settle before we make a plan."

"We don't have time for a plan! There have been 2 kidnapping attempts already!" I stopped, causing my entourage to skid to a stop. "2!" I held my fingers in his face. "I'm not gonna allow someone to get closer to him."

"We have him guarded at all times." Roman spoke.

"I don't care!" I threw my hands up and continued walking, resulting in the crowd following.

"Ken, Roman is right." Ellio spoke. "We will not allow him to be taken, but we must also think this through."

"How am I not thinking this through?!"

"You want to launch an onslaught onto Delja. You're essentially asking for a civil war." Ellio deadpanned.

"We don't even know where the group is located." Alexxis added. "We can't just send soldiers in blindly. That's suicide." She quickly spoke. "We'd have to only target the terrorist group not the average citizen there."

"We don't know what awaits us, which is why your mother thinks we should call a council meeting to properly plan." Roman added.

"I don't care right now. I want my son." I seriously spoke.

I ignored them trying to get my attention. We continued marching down the halls in complete chaos. When I turned the corner, I noticed a teenage couple stumble out a storage closet. I jolted in surprise and slammed into Roman's chest.

The guy had his arm outstretched as he tried to steady the girl. The girl held onto his arm to ensure she didn't fall. I noticed the guy's shirt undone and his pants had seen better days. He used a hand to hold them up since his pants threatened to fall down. The girl's dress was ripped and her hair was disheveled. The two of them were quite sweaty and had a light layer of dust over them. They were breathing heavily while staring at each other.

"Umm..." I trailed off and motioned to Roman. "Do I know them?"

"Identify yourselves." Roman stepped forward and captured their attention. "Who are you?" He held his fingers up, resulting in the guards angling their weapons at the pair.

"Uhh..." The boy looked like a deer caught in headlights.

"We are-"

The girl gasped when her eyes connected with mine. She then roughly nudged the guy in my direction. When he noticed me, he gulped and stood straighter.

"Ellio." Roman addressed the angel.

"They aren't staff." Ellio answered.

Roman used a single finger to point at the pair. The guards then moved to attack them.

"Woah! Woah!" The girl stepped back.

The guy grabbed the girl's shoulder and roughly turned her. They then ran in the opposite direction. Roman shouted at the guards to capture them. The guards flew by me in order to apprehend the trespassers. Roman and Ellio flanked my sides and dragged me to a war room. I heard Roman direct Alexxis to alert Ajax and my mother.

"Don't tell me this is the third assassination attempt this week." I spoke as Roman shut the door.

"This palace is secure. How did they slip inside?!" Ellio was fuming.

"Traitors." Roman spoke. "There's no other way."

"My baby!" I held Roman's arm.

"I can't allow you outside-"

"Roman! He's an infant!" I screamed.

"There are guards-"

"There are guards outside and those people snuck in!" I shouted.

"Nothing will happen to-"

"How do you know?!" I was in full blown tears.

"I've got him." The door opened to reveal Nyx with Yunael.

"Thank god." I breathed out and ran to hug them.

"My fist is about to be acquainted with someone's face." Ajax stormed inside. "Summon, Troian! She's in charge of perimeter security." He snapped at a guard. "Hey!" Ajax grabbed the back collar of a passing guard. "Take Chris to the bunker. Chris, take your grandson and go."

"But-"

"Not now." Ajax pointed a warning finger at me. He then sharply whistled at the angels in the air. "Make sure you're eyes are watching the ground. I want arrows launched at seeing anyone on the ground. No one leaves the estate." They nodded and flew off. "Description." Ajax squeezed his fists.

"Male and female." Roman answered. "Both on the taller side. Male had blondish/brown hair. Female reddish hair."

"Age range." Nyx stated.

"Late teens, early 20s."

"Armed and dangerous?" Ajax raised a brow.

"They were barely dressed while piling out of a closet. It seemed more like a hookup rather than assassins." I spoke.

"They want you to be unprepared. It's too throw you off." Nyx stated.

"Regardless of their intentions, to trespass on palace grounds is a serious violation. They'll be jailed." Ellio spoke.

"And because of them, the entire compound is on lockdown." Roman added.

"I want them caught." Ajax pointed at Roman. "Now." He growled out. "I'm going to ensure the safety of the Queen." He eyed us before leaving the room.

"Guys, I know it sounds crazy, but now that I've calmed down..." I took a deep breath. "I don't think they were trying to harm us."

"Ken-"

"Listen, Nyx." I cut her off. "They appeared surprised and scared at seeing me. I know it's not a good look for them to be roaming around the palace grounds, but... I think they're just regular citizens who may have wanted to get their rocks off or something."

"Fellatio in public is not acceptable." Ellio crossed his arms.

"Eww, Ellio. Just, eww."

"What?! You saw them stumble out the closet. What else were they doing?!"

"I don't know, but let's just find them and question them. No killing as of yet." I cautioned.

"You'd have to get the approval of the Queen. Though, I don't see her disagreeing with your tactics." Roman stated.

"I'm hoping." I whispered.
