Hailey, Lily, and I were having a picnic near the nymph pond. Kevi would occasionally run off and then return for strawberries. Lily giggled and wiped the toddler's hands before allowing her to run around again.

"Aiye!" A harsh voice called out.

Kevi perked up and turned as Ajax came into view. She squealed and raced off. Ajax went down on his knees and opened his arms. Kevi ran even faster before jumping into his arms. Ajax wrapped his arms around her tiny body before standing up. He repeatedly kissed her cheek while walking away.

Ajax walked into the water and dangled Kevi over the water. He playfully splashed her before sitting her on his shoulders. Ajax then walked around as Kevi bent forward to splash the water.

"Where's Yu?"

"Nyx took him with her Zeli and Cal. Not sure what they're doing, but I think Cal wanted to go mud wrestling or something. I don't know." I shrugged.

"Cool." Lily politely smiled.

"I know for a fact that Zeli would never." We laughed at Hailey's words. "She'd never risk ruining her outfit or getting mud in her hair."

"Actually, Hailey I have a question for you." I impishly grinned.

"Oh, no." She muttered.

"What's going on with you and Baalam? I expected you two to be together more. It's like after the wedding, you guys went your separate ways."

"I don't know to be honest." Hailey sighed. "I thought he'd reach out more or show slight interest in meeting up, but nothing. He went back to Hell and that was it."

"Are we sure he's alright? Last time he was gone for a while, he had been abducted." Lily softly spoke.

"Ash says he's in Hell." Hailey mumbled.

"What's going on with that boy? He has no clue what to do." I rolled my eyes. "Has he ever dated?"

"I doubt it. Devils don't date... well, normally they don't." Hailey stated.

"Ya, what about Ash and Erana?" Lily questioned.

"I think they're together, but not dating. Things get really confusing with devils."

"Together, but not together. Ya, that wouldn't work for me." I admitted. "Are they in an open relationship then?"

"I really don't know. Zeli would know." Hailey stated.

"As if she'd ever spill the tea." I scoffed.

"So are you gonna get married to Nyx?" Lily sipped some Chardonnay.

"Nah, Im passed that." I waved my hand.

"Really? Wasn't that a big issue?" Hailey asked.

"Ya, but now I don't care and kinda have no interest in the matter. I'm content being girlfriends." I shrugged.

"Your aura indicates you're lying." Hailey raised a brow.

"I don't want to force someone to do something they don't want to."

"But, she said she would-"

"To appease me and I refuse to accept a proposal like that." I stated.

"Can't blame you." Lily gently smiled. "You want them to choose you by their free will."

"Exactly!"

Lily and Hailey started speaking about an obscure topic, so I used that time to observe Ajax. I watched how he interacted with Kevi and it was like night and day with Nyx. He was so loving and tender and gentle and present with her. Nyx wasn't as emotionally connected to our son. Yes, she loves him, but doesn't express it in the way that Ajax does. I fear that Yu will grow up thinking that she never cared for him.
