"Hey, Ken!" Onyx flung open the door. "And Nyx... I thought you weren't supposed to be with Yun- I'll stop talking." She stopped at my glare.

"I wanted to be with my child." I held my baby tighter.

"I couldn't rationalize with her." Nyx smirked and rubbed my back. "So what brings you here?"

"They caught the trespassers." Onyx breathed out.

Our eyes widened at the news. We wanted to see them, but needed to protect Yunael first. Haze walked in and made grabby motions for the baby. I handed Yunael over before we followed Onyx to the interrogation room. I entered and heard the girl complain.

"I should've brought my sunglasses. That gave me a headache." The girl winced.

I spotted Ajax, Roman and Troian in the room. I silently asked Roman where my mother was. Roman whispered that the Queen had an urgent matter to take care of. I arched a brow because what was more urgent than assassins?! Roman gave me a thin smile and motioned towards the trespassers.

The pair were chained to chairs and looked to be exhausted. The girl kept blinking to adjust her eye sight to the natural light. She had orange red hair accompanied with blue colored eyes. She was quite cute, but looked like she contained a lot of sass.

Now the boy, he had brown hair with blonde highlights. Well, it more looked like he had dyed his hair blonde and then allowed the roots from his brown hair to grow out. But, what amazes me was that his hair looked natural even though it looked unnatural. I'm even confusing myself. He also had brown eyes, but seemed to be stiffer than the girl. His head was downcast in shame while the girl absentmindedly looked around.

Ajax cleared his throat, so their eyes snapped to him. The girl gave him a nervous smile while the guy did everything in his power not to look at me. Damn, did I look that bad?! I began to subtly fix my hair-

"Hello-"

"All right!" Troian interrupted Ajax. Nyx facepalmed as Troian stalked towards the pair. "We caught you, killers. So the gig is up."

The pair turned to each other in absolute confusion. The girl motioned for him to speak, but he was dumbfounded on what to say.

"Enough with the silent conversation!" Troian snapped.

"We weren't-"

"Did I give you permission to speak?!" Troian yelled. "No! I did not!"

"Then, how do you expect an interrogation to go?" The girl sassed.

"Either you shut your damn mouth or I'll cut your tongue out." Troian sneered.

"Are you seriously going to allow her to speak to me that way?" The girl narrowed her eyes.

It took us a moment to respond because we originally thought the girl was addressing the guy. What shocked us more was that the girl was staring at Ajax. Ajax arched a brow while the guy hissed at her. That seemed to snap her out of whatever daze she was in. She gave Ajax a sheepish smile and awkwardly whistled.

"Fix your attitude or-"

"Troian." Ajax's deep voice cut through. "Enough." He seriously spoke.

"You're really coming to her rescue?!"

"I want to have a straightforward and easy interrogation. You're actions will quickly turn them into hostile witnesses. So reduce your energy." He slowly spoke.

"If I may..." Our eyes snapped to the boy's. "I completely understand that Troian is simply just doing her job. Her role is perimeter security and if someone enters without her knowledge, she has every right to appear tense. Simply because she doesn't know their true motives. However, we are not hostile. We happened to appear here by mistake and would love nothing more than to leave."
