The pair were taken to a private room where most of the Royal Angel guards were located. Neal was nervous while Paro obnoxiously whistled.

"Death." Troian simply stated.

"Enough with the death. Come up with something new." Paro rolled her eyes.

"The two of you aren't worth the trouble-"

"Please, this guy right here..." Paro bounced into Neal. "He can easily take you."

"What?" Neal spoke along with the other angels. "I don't think-"

"He will easily beat you. Even with his hands bound." Paro smirked.

"That's an exaggeration."

"He's being modest." Paro ignored him. 'You're just worried because you know that he'll beat your ass!"

"Not helping!" Neal snapped at her.

"What? I'm calling her bluff."

"Shut up! Shut up!" Neal exclaimed.

"Whatever." Paro rolled her eyes.

"The two of you originally claimed not to be dangerous, but many will disregard the previous sentiment based on the actions displayed in the arena. You both handled yourselves well against an organized attack." Ajax stated. "It raises-"

"About that." Paro cut him off causing Neal to sigh. "That was very, very poor planning." She shook her head. "What would compel you to believe that angels against this regime would be welcoming to light angels?! You put targets on our backs!" She exclaimed.

"You raise a very good question." Ajax spoke. "There must've been a miscommunication in the mixup over where in the cells the two were supposed to be placed." He spoke with venom while staring at Troian. "It would've been a careless error and nothing less. I assume."

Troian simply stayed quiet and rolled her eyes. Ajax's shoulders rapidly rose and fell like he was trying to manage his anger. He squeezed his fists hard until he calmed down.

"As I was saying, that stunt pulled was-"

"You have to admit that it was a little impressive." Paro appeared proud while Neal looked about done with her. Ajax quietly stared at the smug grin on her face.

"It showed us that you have been lying." Troian stepped in front of Ajax. "And we're to make examples of you! No one will be threatening the safety of this kingdom."

"I implore you to understand that we meant no harm. We didn't want to fight, but were forced into that situation." Neal spoke. "If there was another way, we'd surely have chosen that path. It was unavoidable-"

"Unavoidable?! You showed up in the castle looking to slaughter the Queen!"

"What?! No!" They adamantly shook their heads.

"Why should I believe you?" Troian crossed her arms.

"As if we give a damn if you believe us or not. You're clearly overcompensating for your lack of control and status in the royal guards." Paro smirked while Troian unsheathed her blade.

"No." Ajax grabbed Troian's wrist.

"But-"

"No." He firmly spoke.

"Now, he's the real leader." Paro chuckled.

"We're sorry for this mass confusion and we understand how it looks. Believe us, we do. We want nothing more than to freely leave. We wish no ill will on this regime." Neal stated.
