I immediately threw myself into the bed as I made my way into my room. Fuck, what have I been thinking? My mom would for sure collapse if she knew the things I've been doing to myself. Good thing I've cut every means there is for them to know my whereabouts. I can only imagine the look on her face if she knew I almost died of drowning. It's actually more of a stupidity. Imagine that? Cause of death: your own stupidity.
I turned to face my window and found that the sun was already brutally radiating its heat outside. I was just closing my eyes to get some more sleep when I felt like I was being watched. I squinted my eyes to look for whoever or whatever it was when I saw Mafe standing at the glass wall, waving her hand.
I sauntered towards the glass door and slid it open to let her in.
"And what do you think you're doing here? Does your father know you came here?"
I groggily asked her as I studied her face.
"Not particularly."
She grinned as her gaze drifted away from me. I don't know if she's sad or guilty of something.
"Well, you're already here, so why don't we grab those shakes and pancakes you want as we talk about your love problems?"
I laughed as I told her to lighten her mood, stressing the love problems.
"Really?"
Her face brightened as she hurriedly hugged me.
"But don't be so sure it's all about love."
She looked me dead straight in the eyes.
My gaze followed hers as she started to make her way to my door.
"You going or not?"
She asked as she was about to open the door, blankly staring at me.
"Course, I will."
I smiled at her and immediately followed her outside.
Looks like I've found a younger sister here.
