I woke up clueless about whatever the hell was going on. It's 7:00 in the morning, and work starts at 8. I lay there, still trying to get my senses working, when I heard a knock on my door.

"Jema? We're leaving in 30 minutes."

That surely was Bea's voice.

I immediately got up and ran to the shower. Thank God, I know how this thing works. After a quick bath, I rummaged through my things to find something decent to wear. I didn't mind what it was, but I know I was in all black. Black long sleeves, black coat, black skirt, and black flat shoes. I think that'll do.

I almost tripped while walking down the stairs when Bea caught me.

"Woah, easy there."

I accidentally wrapped my arms around her neck and inhaled her masculine scent. She put me down, and I was obviously still in shock.

"Shall we?"

She asked and then made a way for me, and I just nodded.

She held the door and opened the car door for me. I thought she's the boss, and I'm her personal assistant. There might be a little confusion from her side.

She closed the door and also got inside her car. My stomach's already growling, but surprisingly, she had a sandwich and a cup of coffee ready for the both of us.

"You shouldn't go to the battlefield with an empty stomach."

She laughed as she pointed at our food.

"Go on. Don't be shy. It's enough for the both of us."

She said this as she continued to drive.

"Thank you."

I said as I shyly took the sandwich from the box.

"Where are you from, Jema?"

I only had a few bites of my sandwich when she suddenly spoke.

"Uhm, I'm from Siargao, boss."

She laughed upon hearing me call her boss.

"Please drop the boss, or I'm going to fire you."

My eyes widened in shock.

"Just kidding, but really, just call me Bea or Bey."

She turned to face me and then went back to fix her eyes on the road again.

"So, Siargao, huh?"

She repeated.

"Yep."

I curtly answered as I sipped on my coffee now.

"Maybe you could be my tour guide there one day."

She winked at me and parked her car as my jaw dropped upon seeing how massive the building was where I would be working with her.

She led me to the entrance.

"Good morning!"

The guard warmly greeted us. We smiled and bowed in return.

"Welcome to the De Leon Group of Companies."

Bea smiled as we stood by the entrance, while my eyes didn't know where to look first.
