I woke up, clueless about where I was. It's becoming an unhealthy habit of mine.
I was trying so hard to recall what happened last night when I realized I wasn't alone in the room.
"Oh my fucking God!"
I said to myself as I hurried to pick up my clothes and stormed out of the room.
I immediately dialed Bea's number.
"Hey, cous!"
I greeted her as I'm almost running along the hallway while fixing myself.
"Thought you'd be nowhere to be found for two years again."
Her voice sounded so plain. I guess she still hasn't drunk her coffee yet.
"You're going to show up, or you're going to show up. You still have to make it up to your mom, right?"
She said that, almost laughing.
"Oooh, I didn't know blockmailing's your thing now."
I hissed.
"Nor cowardice yours."
She teased.
"That was personal."
I spat out.
"Was it?"
She laughed.
"I'll see you later then."
I said that and then ended the call.
Well, I should be going to Bea's office now, but I think I must find some food and coffee first. Food before anything else.
I smiled while I was on my way to a coffee shop I found on the map. An hour won't hurt. I evilly smirked.
"Uhm, can I have two slices of chocolate brownie cake and one large caramel macchiato, please?"
I smiled at the cashier.
Her jaw apparently dropped while looking at me.
"Uhm, can I have two slices of chocolate brownie cake and one large caramel macchiato, please?"
I repeated.
"I'm so sorry, of course."
She immediately picked up a cup.
"Can I have you, please?"
She said.
"What?"
I laughed.
"I mean, can I have your name, please? For the cup."
She lowered her gaze as she shyly asked me again.
"EDJ."
I smiled at her.
"Just a minute, Miss EDJ."
She said this as she swiftly attended to my order.
I looked around the place for a vacant spot, and I found one near the window.
"Here's your order, Miss."
She handed me my order, still not making eye contact.
"Thank you, Myla."
I thanked her as I looked up at her name plate.
She was shocked when I called her by her name.
She looked at me for a second and smiled. I then proceeded to the spot I was eyeing earlier.
