The sky went black with only the moon and the stars illuminating it while I'm still trying to find my way to the De Leon residences. I've rode almost every kind of transportation, and I'm literally losing hope. Maybe I've really made the wrong decision.
I walked onto a road that's seemingly endless. The street lights are getting fewer and dimmer with no people in the vicinity. My mind and body were more than exhausted, and my wallet's been drained already.
I sat beside my bag on the pavement and started crying and cursing about my current situation. Even if I decide to go back now, my money will not be enough. Will there be no one to take me out here?
I placed my head on top of my knees and closed my eyes as I sat there in utter hopelessness, for I don't know how long until a white Mercedes-Benz approached me.
My eyes are swollen from crying, but I immediately fixed myself. I didn't make direct eye contact, but I saw a girl with straight hair tied up and bitchinky eyes in my horizon. She looked expensive even if you took away the car.
She went out of her vehicle, almost staggering.
"Aren't you with anybody, Miss? It's not safe to stay out here alone this late."
She said this, maintaining a safe distance between us.
When I lifted my gaze, I realized that she's so much taller than me that I even have to look up to make direct eye contact.
"I, uhm, I'm looking for De Leon Residences, but I think I'm lost."
I timidly told her.
"Well, you're not."
I saw her lean toward her car while scratching her brows and smiling.
"Actually, I can give you a ride. It's not that far from here."
She generously offered.
"Only if you want, of course. I don't want to be accused of abducting someone."
She joked as she threw her hands up in the air.
"You're a lifesaver."
I muttered, feeling some relief.
"Well, in that case, hop on."
She opened the door for me so I could get in. She even placed my things in the backseat of her car. Such a gentle woman.
"I owe you so much. Thank you."
I told her as she fixed herself in the driver's seat.
"Nah, don't mention it."
She winked at me and started driving.
Her scent filled the entire car, and for some reason, I couldn't help but get intoxicated by it.
