I was just walking with Ate Michelle to get some fresh air.

"You promised a talk last night."

I said this with utter conviction, but she just smiled at it.

"Then a talk it is."

She shrugged it off and pouted.

"How long were Mafe and Ella together exactly?"

I asked her as I savored the bitterness of the gin when I noticed her laughing and shaking her head.

"Really?"

She's still laughing at me as if I were some kind of joke or an entire circus.

"You really don't know, do you?"

She shook her head again in disbelief.

"What?"

My tone was firm now.

"They were never together, darling. Your father took Ella in after they found her peacefully accepting her death near the shore. Mafe must have been trying to find you in another person, and she did. Ella hasn't left here until just recently."

I felt my ears fumed out when I heard what Ate Michelle said.

"I'm going to kill my sister."

I crisply said this as I abruptly changed my pace.

"No, you're not. I'm guessing Ella loves her even more than you do, and killing her beloved younger sister won't make you two end up exchanging vows on your wedding day."

I raised my brow at Michelle and smiled upside down while raising my glass when we noticed two groups in a somehow heated confrontation.

My body froze when my eyes caught a glimpse of Tots. That one hell of a stupid ex-boyfriend.

I thought memories of our not-so-good days would come flooding in and make me crumble, but all my blood boiled up when I saw his arms around Ella.

I threw my glass somewhere and immediately rushed to them. Alyssa saw how livid I was, and dread surfaced in her eyes.

I pushed Tots away from Ella, and before he could recover, I swung two right punches in his face.

He literally was caught off guard and abashed because of what I did.

"Get your filthy hands off my girl!"

I shouted at him as I continued smashing his face.

Ella was apparently alarmed by the pandemonium we've made, and I saw her heading to Alyssa to pull her back when Alyssa's opponent's fist landed straight in her face.

That punch left Ella unconscious, which made me stop trying to completely erase my ex's face and rush to her.

I lifted her face away from the water because she was face down, and I carried her back to the shore.

"Baby."

I called her as I was lightly tapping on her face and shaking her shoulders, but she's not responding.

"What the hell happened here?"

We literally made a scene here.

Mafe was still out of breath when she saw us in that situation. I didn't bother answering her; rather, I lifted Ella away from the crowd.

I saw Tots completely in shock at what I just did to him. He still hasn't recovered from all the blows I gave him. I mean, who would have thought that the girlfriend he left begging on the floor would now bring him to his knees? He deserves it and more for being nothing more than a dimwitted dick.
