I didn't know how long I had been unconscious, but the first thing that came to my senses was the ray of the sun touching my sore face. It felt like my jaw was displaced and my lower lip was cut from yesterday.
Mafe was soundly sleeping beside me, and good thing I was in my room, which is actually Jema's. Speaking of, I can hear her faint voice from outside. It sounded like she was having an argument with someone.
I slowly woke Mafe up, signaled her to keep her voice low, and then whispered.
"You go hysterical outside and tell them that I don't remember anything, including my name."
My sister was so hooked by that idea that she literally did justice to her role in our play.
"Ate, she's awake!"
I heard a loud crash from Mafe's superb acting. I almost laughed and broke out of my character.
"She doesn't recognize me."
Her acting skills were killing me. I didn't know she had that in her.
I was holding on to my head as if something hurt and as if I were completely scared and confused.
"Where am I? What am I doing here?"
I cried with a voice full of panic.
"Who are you?"
I directed my gaze at Jema.
Tears and immense anger immediately surfaced in her eyes.
"I'm going to kill those dickheads."
She decisively uttered. Fuck, that was so hot.
"Jema, where are you going?"
Alyssa pulled her arm to prevent her from leaving the house.
I can clearly hear their voices now because they're literally screaming at each other.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Alyssa scolded her.
"Ella can't remember a single thing, and you expect me to just sit around and be okay with it?"
Contempt echoed in Jema's voice while Mafe and I were trying to tone down our laughter.
"She was punched, and she fell into the water. Her head didn't hit anything. Stop overreacting."
Fuck, Jema's going to kill me.
There was a long silence after Alyssa said that, and we heard heavy footsteps toward us. The door swung open, and it spat out an outraged Jema. Both of us had a cold sweat when she caught us in the act of making fun of their argument.
"Maria Fe Galanza, get out!"
She imperatively said to Mafe, and my sister literally bolted out of the room."You think any of this is funny, De Jesus?"
I gulped at the way Jema spoke those words. Fuck, I screwed myself up. Big time.
She was wearing light blue denim pants that perfectly fit her and a white sleeveless top that made her glorious figure pronounced.
I was already running out of saliva to swallow when she suddenly undid her belt and sat in front of me.
"What are you doing?"
My voice was shaking both in fear and anticipation of what she's going to do next.
She pulled me by my shirt's neckline and pushed me to the bed's headboard.
"Why did you stop laughing now?"
I felt like I was about to pass out again when I felt her hand on my left thigh.
"I told you to stop playing with me, but you never learned, you knucklehead."
I had my eyes completely shut when I felt her pulling away from me, and when I opened them, Jema was already standing in front of me as if she were about to devour me.
