I just couldn't believe Ella would be capable of doing such a thing to me. Our relationship was too good to be true. It's like a living fairytale, but now I just really don't know.
The photos in my hands are making me lose my sanity, and Mafe's so worried about me now because I've been crying non-stop.
The sky was already dark when Mafe told me someone saw them at the boardwalk.
"That's not true. Where did you get the information from?"
I'm still in denial about the fact that she's been cheating on me despite all the photos in my hands, but Mafe showed me a photo coming from Alyssa, Ella's best friend.
So that's why she's been distant from me these past few weeks.
We immediately rushed to the boardwalk, and I didn't let go of the photos.
My heart and my mind badly wish they were all false speculations, but then I saw Ella having her arms around the same girl she's with in the photos.
I already went hysterical when my eyes just confirmed what the photo already slapped me with, but what Ella just said made my mind completely blank.
"I'm dying."
"What?"
"I'm sorry, love."
Ella's now on her knees.
"No. What do you mean you're dying?"
Nothing's still sinking in, and I looked at Mafe, also in shock. I know she loves Ella more than anything.
"I'm sorry because I've been dying to be yours since that night you first spoke to me."
Ella said this as she was wiping her own tears.
"I've been dying to feel your touch, to hear your voice, and to make you feel that you're the most real evidence of the existence of love there is."
I was just staring at her and listening to every word she said.
"And that girl right there and the one I was with in the photos is my sister, who's very fond of us, so Jema, I've been really dying to ask you this."
She fixed her position and went closer to me, holding out the box from her pocket.
"Would you be willing to breathe me to life every single day and be my wife for as long as time permits?"
I immediately turned my gaze on Mafe, but she's surprisingly still shocked by Ella's declaration.
"You're going to be the death of me, De Jesus, but yes, I am more than willing to be your wife and to be your everything as long as you promise you'll always be mine."
Ella's tears poured out upon hearing my answer. She placed the ring on my finger, and our boardwalk immediately lit up and the crowds went alive.
To my surprise, it was all our friends and family, but I didn't seem to care. I pulled Ella's waist and kissed her passionately.
"Another prank, and you'll be signing our divorce papers."
I warned her.
"You're going to have to marry me first."
Ella pulled me for a kiss again.
Tatay walked towards us and hugged us both.
"There's no one I see more fit and deserving of my girl's heart than you, Ella."
"And you will always be my daughter, too."
Tatay hugged us even tighter.
I can't believe she really pulled a prank like that.
I saw Tots and Amy from a distance. Amy's already carrying their child, and I'm now marrying my greatest love.
Nothing could really go wrong as long as Ella doesn't try to fry up some pranks again.
