-|- Monaco 2021 - F1 race weekend -|-

"Remember the schedule, you need to walk around the garages at 1pm before there will be the formula 2 qualifying, followed by the formula 1 qualifying, you will make pictures with your father and the first three drivers before returning here for the evening."

Davide Roux, my right hand and also friend, helped me into my suit whilst he told me the schedule for this Saturday. It was actually the first time that I would join the formula one race here in Monaco.

It was crazy that my father was the ruler over this country and I had never attended this event. To be fair it must be said that last year there wasn't any race of this category here due to the covid pandemic.

All the years before, since I was attending public events together with my father and lately also my younger brother, I had never been in the country at this time of the year, often visiting other royal families like the British or Dutch one, with whom we were quite close.

"Which tie would you opt for, sir?" Davide asked, calling me by the formalities since other people were around.

He had been my right hand since my sixteenth birthday and we had spend so many hours together, becoming friends after some time as we were really similar and shared the same humor.

Davide came from a rich family in north France my father was friends with and after his studies he decided to come here to Monaco, my dad had been happy to have him around as he was a really friendly and well educated kid.

Now man, as he was seven years older than me which though never really harmed our relationship.

"The dark blue one." I returned to his question and picked one of the three ties he was offering me.

"Good choice." Davide mumbled before he stepped in front of me and helped me with it.

During he worked his hands around my neck and with the tie I just starred straight at the window, through which the sun was shining. Monaco was famous for racing events and I also had attended some in the past, finding out that I really liked fast cars going around in circles.

My father though was also very pleased with that fact as he always said racing was a part of Monaco and therefore our kingdom, which I would someday rule. He had an older son, Lorenzo, but not with my mother and therefore not real royal blood.

Lorenzo though was still an important part in our family, but accepted his role as a consultant and spokesperson, traveling a lot around the world in order to make deals with our nations and kingdoms.

I really missed him some times, but luckily there was still my younger brother, Arthur, who was the sunshine of our family, always having a big smile on his face, being loud and all extroverted, the complete opposite of me.

While he liked running around the patio on sunny days, I enjoyed myself with reading a book inside, smiling down from the big windows at him. Arthur would also join us today, which made me a bit calmer, knowing that I would have someone I could go with if my father would disappear like normal, speaking to hundreds of people.

Don't get me wrong, I loved speaking to people, but from what I've heard from Davide, formula one was much more hectic and crowded than any other racing series that had taken place here. The French was a bit of a fan, which also explained his next question.
