"You're joking?!"

"Nope." Verstappen chuckled and slightly squeezed my thigh, where his hand was still laying.

"B... But... I'm afraid of heights." I stuttered, looking at the area right in front us, where I had driven us to, following his navigation.

"That's cute." the Dutchman smiled at me, before he started giggling, "But it will be fun, trust me. Park over there."

He gestured me a spot and I parked the car there, still being more than overwhelmed with the situation. I only fully returned to reality as Verstappen suddenly opened my door and held his hand out.

"Come on, I'll show you." was all he said and I hesitated for a moment before I grabbed his hand and stepped out of the car.

We then walked over to the helicopter and my fear only increased with every step. Of course, living in Monaco was quite related to often flying with these things, to the airport for example, but I always took the car, to scared of the height.

A normal plane was a bit better though, but still scary and I wasn't a big fan of it.

"You will see, it's amazing. Once you're in the air you never wanna come back down." Verstappen raved and a warm feelings rushed through me as I saw him like that.

He looked so happy and full of anticipation and I decided to try it, for him, because his smile was so beautiful that I didn't wanna miss it, or worse, be the reason for it to disappear.

As we arrived at the helicopter, a man stepped over to us, shaking our hands, even slightly bowing for me. On our way the Dutchman had already told me, that whatever we do is under no risk for photographers or that people would talk about us.

He had said that whatever we do, all the people there had signed confidentiality agreements. Little had I known what kind of activity Verstappen had picked out.

"So are you ready for a flight over Holland?" the man, who happened to be our pilot, laughed.

"Of course." Verstappen returned before he looked over at me, with a grin on his face, "I think prince Charles is a little scared though."

I could really punch him in the face for that comment combined with the huge smirk on his face. But here I was, holding onto his hand and cuddling closer while looking over at the little helicopter next to us.

"That's completely fine, but let me tell you something," the pilot started, trying to comfort me, "When you're up there, you will love it and you will be proud of yourself for facing that fear, the fear that will be gone by then."

In the corner of my eyes I saw Verstappen smiling, but not grinning at me, making fun of my fear, no, he smiled as an encouragement that I would do it.

"I promised you, I'll keep you safe and that isn't going to change." he whispered and I turned my head towards him, instantly meeting his ocean blue eyes, "Do you trust me?"

"I do." I breathed in return, speaking out of my heart as my mind was empty right now.

I saw how Verstappen was slowly licking his lips and I felt my knees getting weak so I quickly faced the pilot again.

"I'm gonna try it." I said, trying to sound confident even though I wasn't.

"Perfect! Then here are your  headphones so you can speak and hear each other, and I would say lets go."

He handed us the headphone and we put it on, a little chuckled leaving my lips as Verstappen was really looking cute with these things on. We then climbed into the chopper and the pilot connected us to the radio.
