-/- Monaco 2022 - wedding day -/-
Before we entered the big ballroom, Max and I got crowns again. This times they were smaller, but had even more details and were even more stunning then the ones at the ceremony. And hell, I could look at my husband with a crown all day long, he effortless looked extremely hot with it.
"Please welcome our royal married couple, prince Charles and prince Max from Monaco." the speaker said and the big doors opened, allowing us to step inside the room.
All the guests stood up from the seats and applauded us, bowing as we walked pass them over to the head of the long table where the our places were. It still overwhelmed me, seeing so many people looking at me.
But Max next to my squeezed my hand and smiled that proudly, wrapping me in warm and confident feelings. Once we had reached our seats everyone sat down and wine was served before Max stood up, raising his glass.
"Thank you all for being here. For some of you such a royal dinner is nothing new, but for some, myself included, this is something completely new." my husband said and everyone laughed.
He then smiled down at me, taking my hand from the table before he looked up again.
"And thank you all for always supporting us. It has been a long journey, or short one like one sees it, but so many things had happened and maybe some of you have lost faith during that time."
Max's smile faded a little and he cleared his throat.
"Me too, to be honest. But the thought of Charles, my beautiful and amazing husband, thoughts of our future and our love, it kept me going, it helped me during all the hard times. This is just the start and I'm happy that you're here with us today, to celebrate this, to be part of our life, forever."
He rose his glass and everyone toasted before they clapped, some of them wiping away their tears. Some of them also rolled down my cheeks as I looked up at my amazing husband, I couldn't be more proud of him than I was now.
But the cute smile on his face slowly turned into a smirk and he looked at our guests again, who slowly got quiet again.
"And I know my husband here doesn't like to hold speeches in front of so many people," Max started and the people chuckled a little, "but I think today you can come around that, my prince."
With his last words he looked down at me, I was smiling up and slightly rolling my eyes before I stood up, shortly bumping my shoulder in his side.
"Thanks Max, I really love you." I said in a playful tone and everyone laughed.
But his eyes somehow calmed me down, the ocean blue took that fear I had away, gave me the feeling that this was just between us, that there weren't hundred people watching me.
"You made me nervous, from the moment I had met you I always got sweaty hands around you, lost my voice. But it wasn't bad, it was because I was afraid, afraid of all the strong feelings you set free in me. But you were there for me, and as were a lot of you." I said and finally turned to our guests.
They all smiled at me and it gave me the confidence to talk further.
"So thank you for being here, but also for having being there these last year and a half. It wasn't easy, not for me, not for our relationship and also not for some of you. But you all supported us and I especially wanna thank Catharina and Arthur, but also Victoria, Jos and Pierre, who have been there for me and all my worries and problems. Thank you all."
Again we all toasted our glasses before we sat down again, Max leaving a kiss on my cheek.
"I'm so proud of you liefje." he whispered and a hot shiver was running down my back at hearing his deep voice.
