Oh God, there were three of them. How could there be two more Emmett Larkins? I mean, they're not the same people but God, all three of them knows how to push my buttons and make me lose my temper. At first, it was an innocent brainstorming about the topic of Kantian Ethics, then it happened. Emmett changed the subject to me and all three of them joined in with the topic. I hardly had enough patience to listen to any of Emmett's words, let alone two more voices.

My morning was hell. Literal hell since it's started with having those three men test my patience.

Why must have to endure being grouped with the three of them? Is this the karma catching up to me? Is this my punishment for being glutton to ice cream?

No, that can't be it. And no, I don't think I'm the problem here. The issue here is Emmett himself. I vaguely remember one of them says something about Emmett mentioning me towards them. Whatever he says about me to his friends, I don't care. I can handle myself whatever they throw at me.

Although, I'm a bit worried of whatever he might have shared with his friends. Especially when he's friends with Alecks Martin. The quiet, cute student I kept seeing and hearing playing the drums in one of the available rooms in the student's hub.

I'm not saying I have a crush on the guy, but it does sound like it. Who doesn't have a crush on the drummer of campus' music band, The All-Nighters? Most of my friends kept giggling whenever talking about Alecks Martin. It's such a shame the guy is friends with Emmett fucking Larkin, the bassist and vocalist of the said music band. Maybe Alecks is more tame than Emmett, and a little more tolerable.

If only Alecks was the one who kept showing in my dreams, and not the other insignificant guy I kept seeing daily. That's other mysterious thing, why is it Emmett that also shows in my dreams? That doesn't make any sense especially I initially have a crush on Alecks, not him. Sure, Emmett is cute—practically handsome with his wavy dark brown and chocolate-colored eyes—and talented, but his personality is the one that's giving me an ick.

I choose personality over looks any other day, thank you very much. Simply take the good personality and leave any other thing behind before skedaddling out of the built-a-boyfriend factory.

I checked my surroundings to see if I'm being followed or anything. My paranoia about Emmett following me around and showing himself to mess me is getting the best of me. The guy has other things that he needs to attend to, I'm just a little treat whenever he sees me loitering around the hallways. I should probably retreat to the safety of my dorm instead of just wandering around the campus. That's a safer option consistent Emmett fucking Larkin is around.

Although the idea of going back to my dorm is enticing, something I've heard from the three men earlier piqued my interest. One of them mentioned checking out the new Café down the block. The moment the guy mentioned the Café, my stomach growled at me as if reminding me I haven't had any breakfast. Luckily, none of the three men heard it, especially Emmett since he's the closest to me. If he even heard just a slight sound from my stomach that time, I knew in my mind he wouldn't give me any peace about it.

So, instead of going back to my dorm, I watch each step I take as I make my way to wherever this new Café they were talking about earlier.

Of course, it wouldn't be ethical if I was the only one who's going to check out the new place. It's only fair if I bring my friends along.

With a smile on my face, I pull out my phone and behind to chat in our group chat. Whilst the typing my message, I begin to wonder if any of them are awake. If memory serves, I'm the only one who has a morning class.

Me: Wakey Wakey, there's a new Café down the block!

I stopped walking as I wait for any of them replying. But when I see a text bubble from one of my friends, the smile on my face grew bigger before walking again. Several seconds later, one of them messaged back.
