My lips lift high enough that my eyes begin to close, and I release a genuine laugh the moment those words left Hanz' mouth. After a few seconds, I open my eyes only to realize that I'm the only one laughing while the others just stare at me in confusion. Especially Emmett, he's staring as if my laughter were something so horrifying. I blink several times before composing myself and turn to Hanz with a casual smile.

"That's a nice joke, Hanz." I shake my head, playing it off as if he were joking. "A kiss from Emmett and me for a prize. What a ridiculous idea," I murmur while panting to catch my breath after falling down on the pool of laughter.

Hanz cleared his throat with a loud cough. Shaking his head after I've composed myself. "I wasn't joking." He says at the same time as Emmett, releasing a sigh and saying the same thing.

"You can't be serious," I mutter back. The smile that was on my face slowly falters and turns to a concern smile. "You're not really suggesting that we'll kiss whoever gets the correct answer." A hand of mind nervously found its way to the collar of my jacket and begin fidgeting it around while a slow laugh gave way out of my throat. I turn to the others, more specifically at Alecks.

Alecks didn't say much at me. He simply shook his head with a small smile plasterer on each corner of his lips.

"Don't worry, we sometimes never listen to Hanz." Emmett shake his head before giving his friend a sideward glance. "Most of the time we don't listen to him."

Hanz frown, his whole excited expression quickly dissipates as his frown deepened. "I thought it was a great idea."

I shake my head, both disgustingly and politely disagreeing with his idea. "I will not kiss some random person just because they got a question correctly."

"Ditto," Emmett adds, before placing a hand on Hanz' shoulder to comfort his frowning friend. "Maybe next time, we'll listen to you."

Out of nowhere, Alecks stood up from the couch and stride towards Hanz. I watch as he crouched down to be at the same level as Hanz' ears and inches his lips closer to them. Alecks glances at me for a moment before lifting one of his hands up to cover the movement of his lips while he whispers stuff in Hanz' ears. I have no idea what's being exchanged between them but judging how Hanz light up, I have a feeling I wouldn't like it one bit.

I can also speak up from Emmett since he's expression slowly grew more irritated as the two kept whispering things at each other while leaving both of us watching them together. The unsettling feeling inside my stomach begins to churn when Alecks pulled away with a wide grin on his face.

"What are you two planning now?" Emmett asks, sounding like a parent that's tired with the antics his children had been throwing around. He stares at them in curiosity before crossing his arms and legs, silently waiting for their answer.

Hanz shakes his head, "Nothing too serious. Just a harmless bet."

I realized that whenever Alecks grins like that. The one that both corners of his lips reaching to his eyes. He couldn't help but make bets about some random things. The first time I've remembered him making a bet was during the party where Alecks forced Emmett and I to have a singing competition. I vaguely remember him wearing that same grin during that party. And now that he's wearing it again, I can't help but to expect that "harmless bet" Hanz is talking about has something to do with us again.

A deep sigh came out of Emmett's nostrils as he stares directly at Alecks. One of his brows quirked up, and I saw a flash of frustration pass through his expression like lightning. It's not just me who realized that same thing too.

"Alright," Emmett cooed, pretending to sound interested despite his voice lowering an octave. Making him sound irritated than interested in whatever Alecks had in mind. "Let's hear this harmless bet, Alecks."
