Cherris pov

I anxiously tapped my fingers on the table. Damn that moth man. How did he read me so easily? Did anyone else believe him? Crap they can't learn my secret!

"Cherri dear" I looked over to see sir pensious smiling at me "you look so pale darling" he took my hand worriedly "what happened? You don't normally let people get under your skin like that"

"I'm fine" I waved him off "just tired. It's been a long day"

"Mom" my son and daughter Clementine and boa ran up to me. Clementine looked like me with fluffy pink hair in a pixie cut with pink eyes. Boa had curly black hair with yellow stripes, branding the same pink eyes as his sister.

"we finished all our deliveries and made quite the killing if I do say so myself" clem said proudly.

"*Cough* Tacky *cough*" her brother mocked her. She retaliated by pulling his hat over his eyes.

"Alright kids enough fighting" I smiled fondly "go say hi to your dad"

"Daddy!" The two takel hugged their father who they hadn't seen in weeks. An overlords job is never done it seems.

"Kids have you noticed something off with your mother?" I stiffened up.

"Mom you haven't told him?" Boa looked at me in concern.

"There's nothing to tell" I shrugged him off "now can we please drop this-"

"What weighs on your soul my love" he took my hand as he sang "please let your story be told. If it was you that killed the angel then why not let it be known"

I took a deep breath before starting "I always thought I'd be able to keep the blood off my face but that thing attached, I had to act. To cross that line and keep them safe" I looked over at my kids who nodded encouragingly.

"But if anyone knows then all of hell would rise to war and who's to say who'd survive the fray. I might lose the ones that I was killing for"

"So I'll be your keeper. Do whatever it takes I'll make the mistakes. I'll keep you safe and keep this secret" the kids ran up to hug me which I happily accepted.

Charlie's pov

"When I saw your face" I sang as I jumped from building to building "you made me feel like a stranger in a brand new place and it felt so good to be understood" I smiled softly at the memory of how we first met "and there's so much that I want to say"

"So I'll be your armour. Do whatever it takes I'll make the mistakes. I'll spend my life being your partner"

I stared out over hell as my mind started to clear. I should go back now.
