feeling like a failure

Vaggies pov

"Save the date bitches. Cause we're coming to your hotel first"

I curled up in a ball as I sobbed lightly, trying hard not to let the others hear me. I should be down there right now but instead I'm up here feeling sorry for myself. I really am the worst.

"My vaggie you look simply dreadful"

I groaned. Not her!

"What do you want Lilith" I glared at her. I was still mad at her for how she treated Charlie.

"Aw can't I check up on my favourite girl?" She gave me a sickeningly sweet smile.

"Your favourite girl should be Charlie not me. You do remember your daughter don't you?" I saw a flicker of guilt in her eyes at my words. Good!

"Let's not make this about me" she took a seat next to me "Why are you up here crying when you should be raising everyone's spirits?"

"How can I face them when I've let them down like this" I jumped to my face, pacing anxiously "not only that but I made it worse! They're getting dragged into something they never should have been a part of and I don't know how to make it better!"

A wide grin spread across her face "I may have an idea"

"You do?" I turned to her hopefully.

"Yes but it all depends dear. How far are you willing to go?" There was a sinister glint in her eye but I chose to ignore it.

"I'll do anything to protect my people" I said firmly.

"Good answer" she strolled over to me "then let's make a deal. Don't hurt anyone at a time of my choosing and I'll give you the information you desire"

I didn't even have to think about it "deal" as soon as we shook hands a mysterious energy flowed through the room, binding us together.

I guess there's no going back.

Charlie's pov

My head shot up at the mysterious light coming from our room. I had a bad feeling about this. I burst in and my fears were confirmed.

They were making a deal!

"You" I rushed at my mom, weapon in hand "get the hell away from her!"

"It's okay Charlie" vaggie stepped in the way "Lilith gave me some valuable information. Angels can be killed. Cherri knows how"

"The overlord?" I muttered in disbelief.

She nodded "I need you to go over and find out what she knows. I'm going with Lilith to gather troops"

"Ok I can do that" I turned to my mom "keep her safe"

"I intend to" she nodded as she vaggie out the door.

"Uhh so vaggie and Lilith left like they were running from their responsibilities. Should we be worried?" Dad asked.

"We've found out angel's can be killed" I explained "I'm going down there to find out exactly how" I took a deep breath "none of you signed up for this. There'll be no hard feelings if you decide to leave"

And so I left, praying that I didn't come back to an empty hotel...
