We watched as the seconds ticked down, keeping a tight grip on our weapons. We had practically declared war on heaven. Didn't feel too good about that but we have no choice. I have to think of my people and their safety.

Finally the timer ran out. I took a deep breath before heading outside. We were greeted by a swarm of angels.

"As punctual as ever, those pretentious bastards" dad chuckled "you ready princess?"

"Born ready!" I nodded.

They came at us same as before. We readied ourselves for battle. There were more of them then before but we were able to hold our own-

"Adam!" Husk called out to him, his eyes twisted and deranged.

Dad however didn't even flinch "oh? You were serious when you said you would kill me?" He doubled over laughing "oh that's real cute. Well come on bitch. I'll send you back to your precious husband"

"You bastard!" He charged at him, brandishing his weapon when he was blocked by lute.

"I will not let you harm him" lute growled.

"Lute I can fight my own battles" dad groaned.

"I know but I need to fight him" she insisted "I need to fight the man who deemed me worthless!"

"You heard your master" he said mockingly "Get out of here you defective bitch!"

Dad froze, his frame shaking "you know what, you can have this one lute. Kick his fucking ass"

"Thank you for letting me be selfish" she smiled softly at him before pushing husk away, getting on the offensive.

"Ouch" I stumbled back. One of the angels had gotten a hit on me. He tried to close in on me but I thrust my spear through his heart.

"I've got you" Emily flew over and healed my wounds.

"Thanks em" I smiled greatfully. It's pretty handy having our own personal medic!

"Such raw talent. It seems we may have taught you too well" husk cursed.

"Still consider me defective" she growled.

"Of course I do. What kind of dog can't follow its master's orders!" He threw a smoke bomb in her face. She stumbled back, disoriented when husk shoved her to the ground, pinning her down.

"What a waste of talent" he looked down at her like she was something gross under his feet "let's put you out of your misery"

"Lute no!" I called out as his weapon came closer to his neck.

"I think not" alastor plucked the weapon out of his hand with a tentacle"I'm afraid it wouldn't be very gentlemanly for me to ignore a young lady in need"

"Who the fuck are you" husk growled.

"I'm just a simple bartender" he smiled calmly as dark energy enraped him "a simple bartender who's about to end your fucking life"

"I'd like to see you try fucker!" He growled as he charged at the deer man. He blocked all his attacks effortlessly with his shadow tentacles.

"Why can't I hit you!" he backed off before throwing some dice bombs.

"I thought that would be obvious" he shielded himself with his tentacles before grabbing him "you're not good enough" with that he threw him against the wall. Husk tried to get up only to be grabbed by his own shadow.

"You did it al!" Lucifer flew into his arms.

"I thank you for saving me" lute bowed greatfully.

"Of course dear. You're part of the team" he nodded at her before stroking Lucifer's cheek with a loving smile. Wait-

"Does my dad and Alastor have something going on?" Charlie raised an eyebrow.

"Let's think about that after the war" I chuckled nervously. Things seemed to be going well...
