Vaggies pov

"Alright everyone this is not a drill!" I paced in front of the others "thanks to Lilith we've gotten a meeting with the overlords" Lilith nodded with a calm smile "me and Charlie are going to go there and try and convince them to join our cause"

"I'm with you every step of the way" Charlie placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks" I squeezed her hand greatfully "alright then let's go-"

"Guys it's really bad" Emily came out in tears and covered in golden blood "his stitches burst out and he lost a lot of blood. His chances of recovering have dropped to ten percent"

"No" Charlie covered her mouth in shock. Out of the corner of my eye I saw flashing red lights coming from dad's room. My body stiffened. Dad. "Vaggie we don't have to go if you'd rather stay with your dad" she rubbed my shoulders gently.

"No it's fine" I shook my head "it's my duty as princess to protect my people in any way I can"

"And with the arch angels after our heads we can't really afford to miss this meeting" Lucifer looked at me guiltily.

"Please don't push yourself vaggie" Emily squeezed my hands.

"I won't" I gave her a reassuring smile "can you please look after dad for me while I'm gone"

"Of course" she nodded.

"Thank you" I took a deep breath before l turned to Charlie and her mother "let's go"

Lucifers pov

I collapsed on a nearby chair as exhaustion overtook me. Adams condition shook me up but I had to be strong for vaggie. This has got to be ten times worse for her.

Alastor took a seat next to me "are you alright love"

"Not really" I said honestly "It should be me on life support. Adam shouldn't be-" I got choked up.

Alastor gently stroked my hair "you shouldn't blame yourself love. Adam chose to save you. That's what friends do"

"You think he considers me a friend?" I looked up at him.

"Of course" he wiped my tears away "A man doesn't put his life on the line for someone they hate" he gently kissed my forehead.

"Thanks al" I giggled at his touch. I'm so happy he's here.

"What's up bitch!" We spun around to see three imps?

"Sir you can't just burst into the king of hell fucking castle!" The smaller imp said frantically.

"Relax mox I'm friends with the princess" the taller imp said "now where is that peppy bit-

"Freeze!" Lute held a spear at his throat. The female imp pulled out a knife, looking ready to kill.

"Yeah I tried to kill her!" He said casually.

"What!" Lute tightened her grip.

"Relax bitch I'm not trying to kill her now" the taller imp rolled his eyes "I'm here to help them"

"Help us?" I raised an eyebrow.
