Jennifer's POV:

After arriving home, I waited for Daisy to return, she holds the position of a manager at a coffee shop. Daisy and I have been living here since our college days.

After the tragic accident that took my parent's lives, Daisy has never left my side. We've always been together.
We attended the same school and lived in the hostel. Afterwards, we've moved into this apartment and have been paying monthly rent with our jobs.

The door unlocked and Daisy stepped inside.

"Hey girl! How was your day?"

She asked with excitement. I didn't reply, as I was completely drowned in my own thoughts.

"Jenny, I am talking to you."

She said, waving her hand in front of me.

"It was him."

I said with teary eyes, hurt was written all over my face.

"Whom are you talking about?"

She asked, puzzled by my statement.

"Daisy, it was Aaron I saw today. I couldn't forget those eyes. I never did."

I said, my voice shaking, tears flowing freely.

"Aaron?"

She asked, surprised.

"Where did you meet him?"

"When I was near the car parking, I collided with someone, due to darkness I couldn't see his face, but those eyes...I..I am pretty sure that it was him."

My voice trembled at every word I uttered.

"When i held his hand, he withdrew his hand and never looked back, just like earlier. He left once again."

I continued, a sob cracking through my lungs.

"How is it possible Jenny? If the one you met was Aaron, he would have stayed. Why would he leave without any explanation?"

She emphasised. I gave her a broken look.

"Come on, don't think too much, let's have dinner."

She continued, as she set the plates on the table. Maybe, I was wrong. But, I know I can't be mistaken, when it comes to those blue depths.

When I didn't budge, Daisy urged.

"Come on, hurry up! I'm starving."

Following our meal, we sat down and engaged in conversation, exchanging details about our respective days.

Daisy suggested we should go for a shopping someday and have some fun. She said we need something different. Perhaps it's time to explore new trends and treat ourselves to a change of scenery.
I agreed with her, and we made a plan for this weekend.

After dinner, we headed to our room. Throughout the whole night, my mind was consumed by thoughts of Aaron.
There hasn't been a single night where he hasn't crossed my mind.

--------------

In the morning, we rushed around, getting ready for the office.

I was wearing beige colored pencil skirt with white blouse. I wore subtle makeup with my hair elegantly styled in a high bun.

After reaching the AJ Enterprises, I entered my office. As I set my things down, Jake arrived, appearing as though he had been eagerly anticipating my presence.

"Hello, Ms. Jennifer."

He greeted with a wide smile and asked.

"How are you?"
