Jennifer's POV....

*FLASHBACK*

The car rolled to a stop in front of the office building. As the vehicle came to a halt, I noticed his gaze fixated on the building's sign, which boldly read "A.J. Enterprises." His expression shifting to one of deep thoughts, and he let out a deep sigh before stepping out of the car.

I watched him, puzzled by his reaction, trying to understand the reason for his sudden shift in demeanor.

"That's so strange," I whispered.

I stepped out of the car, the cool air brushing against my skin, and made my way toward the building. He was still leaning against the car, absorbed in a conversation on his phone, his brow furrowed in concentration.

As I approached the entrance of my office, my mind preoccupied with the day's tasks, something caught my eye-Olivia.

"So, the witch is back from her trip," I whispered to myself.

She was dressed impeccably, as always, her sleek black heels clicking on the floor as she approached me with a confident smile.

"Hi, Jenny," she greeted, her voice sweet but with an underlying bitterness that I couldn't ignore.

"Hello," I replied, forcing a polite smile. "How was your trip?"

"It was nice, thank you," she said, her eyes shimmering with something I couldn't quite understand.

There was a glint of satisfaction on her face , as if she had returned with some newfound power.

"I heard that Anton killed your family. Is this true?"

Her question caught me off guard, a chill running down my spine. I had expected a confrontation, but the directness of her words was unexpected.

Her cold, calculating gaze had hinted at the approaching attack before her harsh words even left her mouth.

Her eyes were sharp and unyielding, reflecting a hidden satisfaction in delivering such a cutting remark.

The walls seemed to close in around me, it took me a moment to come back to my senses.

"When I heard this, I felt sorry for you. Why are you still in his office? You should leave, it's friendly advice. Maybe the next turn will be yours. Who knows?" She shrugged her shoulders.

I narrowed my eyes at her,

"Maybe it will be you. Who knows?" I shot back.

"By the way, I know what you're up to." I said, crossing my arms and staring her down with a steely gaze.

She responded with a sharp glare, her eyes narrowing as she raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"You're after Mr. Vinson, right? And anyone who stands in your way, you wouldn't hesitate to kill, correct? Now you don't need to hide yourself anymore."

A smirk played at her lips, revealing a glimpse of her true nature. Her face took on a more satisfied expression.

"I'm glad, that you know everything now. So, stay out of my way. Stay away from my Anton. You have no idea what I'm capable of."

"Finally, your true colors have been revealed."

Her expression remained unreadable, but there was a flicker of something dark in her eyes.

"Good for you," she smirked.

"By the way, I'm not interested in getting in your way," my voice steady.
