The Most awaited chapter of 'Avenging Love'
Jennifer's POV....
I finally surrendered the hope I had for us. I mustered the strength to leave him, We were never meant to be, he was never mine.
I snapped out of my trance when Daisy called my name, her voice cutting through the fog of my thoughts.
"Jenny, listen to me," she said firmly, her eyes full of concern as she looked at me.
"Huh?" I responded, still lost in my own world.
"You need to go and confront him," Daisy insisted, her tone softening as she reached out to touch my arm. "You haven't slept all night or even today, and your eyes are swollen from all the crying. Look at yourself, Jenny you've become a complete mess. You can't keep going on like this. It's time to step out of this darkness and leave it behind," she urged, her voice laced with both empathy and urgency.
My heart ached as I looked at her, knowing she was right, but the thought of facing him terrified me.
"You know it's difficult," I said, my voice barely above a whisper, tears threatening to spill again.
"I know, sweetheart," Daisy said softly, squeezing my hand. "I know it's difficult, but it's not impossible. You have to move on. You can't let him have this power over you anymore," she reassured me, her eyes shining with determination as she tried to give me the strength I so desperately needed.
"But..." I began, my voice breaking, but Daisy wouldn't let me finish.
"No buts, Jenny, just go and confront him. If you don't, you'll never be free from this hardship. You'll be trapped in it forever, and you deserve so much better than that."
I looked away, the tears finally spilling over. "Maybe you're right," I admitted.
"Maybe this is the only way. I know he was never really mine, so why should I keep running after him? Maybe it's time to stop chasing a shadow.
"That's my girl," she said gently, pulling me into a comforting hug. "You're stronger than you think, Jenny. You can do this."
-------------
As I reached the top floor, I unexpectedly collided with someone, nearly stumbling back. I looked up to see him, the devil himself was standing there, his posture casual with hands shoved into his pockets. His cold demeanor was unchanged, as though he was simply waiting for me to arrive.
I was ready to listen 'you are late.'
But as soon as he saw me, his expression shifted,
"What's wrong? Did you cry?" His voice carried an edge of concern that I hadn't expected.
Without responding, I locked my gaze with his, searching for any sign of betrayal. But his eyes always remained innocent, as if concealing nothing but genuine intent. I wondered how these eyes could ever betray someone.
The sharp click of heels on the polished floor drew my attention, and I turned to see Olivia approaching, with a cryptic smile curving on her lips.
"Come with me, I wanna talk to you, Mr. VINSON," I said through gritted teeth.
He narrowed his eyes, a flicker of suspicion crossing his face.
"What do you want to talk about?"
"There are some matters that need to be settled, some riddles to solve," my gaze unwavering as I stared into his eyes.
His confusion deepened. "What do you mean?"
"Just come with me," I urged, and without waiting for a response, I seized his hand and tugged him towards his office. Olivia was standing nearby, her face etched with shock, but I couldn't care less.
