A/N: ooo last chapter of book 2 and then we're onto book 3!!

YOUR POV:

"Were you able to decipher what I asked for?" Ray asks everyone.

"Decipher?" Yuugo scoffs, "there are some parts in an ancient language or chicken scratch."

Don smiles, "those are Latin in mirror writing!"

"Mirror writing..?" Yuugo cluelessly asks.

Ray nods, "Latin was the common language back then. Mirror writing is the alphabet, but it was written reflected in a mirror."

"I can't believe you figured that out..!" Violet gasps.

"There was a book I wanted to analyze, but I didn't have time since we had to leave for Goldy Pond." Ray admits, "so I left it to my siblings."

Don nods, "yep! It appears to be talking about the Dragon of Cuvitidala."

Emma's brows furrow, "is that a place or..?"

"Most likely a location," Gilda says placing a map on the table and spreading it out for us to see. "It would be around here."

"D528-143," Emma reads aloud the coordinates.

"Oh geez, that's far," I comment.

"So, who's going?" Yuugo asks crossing his arms.

"Only a few can go, and since our supporters told us to stay here, we shouldn't move." Ray tells us.

Emma nods, "yeah. So I'm thinking it'll be us three and then Don and Gilda."

"Y-You sure you want to go with just kids?" Yuugo nervously asks. "There'll be a bunch of demons, and you won't have a guide this time."

Emma smiles, "as much as I would love for you to join us, the supporter made it clear that the enemy is after us. If something happens while we're gone, I want you to protect and hide everyone. Don't worry, Don and Gilda are really capable, so we'll be fine!"

"We get to go!" Don cheers.

Gilda tears up a bit, "I'm just so happy..! I thought we'd have to stay behind again."

Don pulls Gilda into a side hug as she wipes her eyes. "We'll totally go and help out, right Gilda?"

"Right!"

Yuugo then pushes Violet and Zack toward us, "take these two with you as well. I mean sure you guys might manage, but these two can really help you out."

Gillian smirks, "you're just worried about them, aren't you?"

We decided that we would leave in a few days, so until then, time was spent learning and preparing. Until the day finally arrived, departure day.

We left the bunker and headed into the stone forest. I kept a pistol in my hand while we walked.

Violet suddenly pauses, "do you hear that?"

Emma stops and listens before nodding.

"It's probably a stream! If the map is right, there's a stream up ahead," Don points out.

"How do you know that without looking at a map?" Zack asks curiously.

"We memorized it," Gilda plainly says. "Ray told us to. So we memorized the ancient map and the others."

Ray smirks, "it was probably easier than the maps at the house, yeah?"

Violet and Zack were taken back by how strict and unearthly Ray was when it came to learning. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Sadly, it's all old information though," Ray states. "We're only using it as a reference point."

"Plus we don't know where and what type of demons are around here," Emma adds.

Ray nods, "we want to avoid demons if possible. So if we encounter one, hide before they see you and—."

A demon spots us (speak of the devil) and rushes after us, but Emma uses her bow and shoots it directly in the eyes.

"—take care of them before they kill you," Ray finishes. "The most dangerous ones are the intelligent ones who look like humans. We need to stay out of cities and stuff."

Days passed and we eventually made it to our destination. Emma pulls out the pen and twist it to reveal the projector screen, "we're here at D528-143, also known as, Cuvitidala."

"They're just a bunch of rocks," I comment. "I swear to god, if this is all this place is!"

"I'm sure there's more here Y/N," Gilda says to me, "calm down."

"Cuvitidala has a dragon with eyes that can see through anything. Everyone comes seeking the eye," Ray explains, "Cuvitidala is a town of dragons. At least that's what the manuscripts said."

Don laughs, "you think there are dragons around?"

"It's probably a metaphor for something," Gilda admits, "but...if there are demons, then maybe..."

"But I don't see a town or dragons," Violet admits.

Emma and I spot an arrow on one of the rocks as we look at each other before inspecting the engraving. She grabs my wrist and pulls me to the next rock, only to find an engraving of an eye.

"An eye..?" I ask.

"Weird," she adds.

Suddenly my vision is filled with a bunch of different images, almost like they were memories of a forgotten time. There were demons bowing to the rocks, before it changed to a demon and a human shaking hands, and then it changed again and again and again and again and again and—.

"These are scenes from the past," a new voice says as I look to see a small demon and a dragon floating above water with Emma beside me. "How rare for humans to come here, nonetheless project zero."

My brows furrow.

"You're simply watching right now, but you'll need to come properly next time...both of you. Here, there is nothing yet something and everything," the demon says. "There's no entrance, yet the entrance is everywhere. Once you do that, then we can play!"

My vision turned white for a moment before the sky above faded in, along with the familiar faces of my friends.

"N/N, Emma?"

"Are you two okay?"

"I'll fix it!" Violet then slaps Emma and I out of our trances.

"Violet! What the hell?!"

We immediately turn to each other, "you saw it too?!" We nod at each other before looking at the other, "did you guys see it too?!"

"What..?" Gilda asks.

"The dragon!" Emma exclaims.

"Huh...?"

"I didn't see anything."

"Me neither."

Emma runs toward one of the rocks and begins to climb up it. "E-Emma! Get down from there!" Gilda shouts.

"I'm sorry!" Violet quickly says, "was it because I hit her?!"

Ray sighs and follows Emma up the rocks, "Emma, what is your—?!" He pauses, "is this...the eye..?"

"I saw them," Emma begins, "Y/N did too. There was a dragon and a scene from the past. The old and forgotten Cuvitidala, the place where day and night meet. And I'm thinking we met him as well."
