❀ Lisa ❀

I was going to be late for class that morning, but what I had to do was important. All because she was important to her. Okay, I know, I know. None of this makes any sense, but was it too much to ask that I stay out of trouble? Apparently, it was because Lisa Manoban was always getting into some kind of mess.

And the worst part is, I tried to stop. I really did, but it seems like I always stumble into trouble without even realizing it. It's like it's calling to me. Mingyu had warned me several times to be careful, but I always remembered his warnings when it was already too late, and now was one of those times.

I waited for the blonde girl from the night before to pass by and pulled her into the room by her arm. I locked the door and turned back to her. Once again, Rosé seemed nervous about being alone with me, but that was just another point that proved my theory. She was up to something.

"You asked me out," I sized her up, and she just nodded.

I put both hands in my pockets and started walking towards her slowly. She backed away at the same pace I approached. But she hit the wall, and I closed in on her. Rosé was a bit shorter than me and looked like a porcelain doll ready to break. She was blonde with sparkling eyes, her skin looked really soft, and her athletic build would tempt anyone, but not me. It was that brunette who was working miracles on me.

When I got close enough for her breath to hit my neck warmly, she shivered and put her hands on the wall beside her body, as if checking if she could escape.

"Why did you ask me out?" I asked without moving a muscle, just looking for her eyes.

"I... just wanted to go out with you," she didn't look at my face, kept staring at my tie like it was the most important thing.

"And you'd have agreed to go out with Mingyu last night if the conversation hadn't been interrupted, and also with Jisoo if she asked you. Why?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," she shook her head trying to emphasize her words.

"I think you do. You and your little friends know what I'm talking about," I got even closer, but I didn't need to; she looked terrified when I mentioned her friends.

"You can't get involved in this!" she pushed me with her hands on my chest.

I wasn't ready for that, so I took two steps back, enough for her to dodge me and run out of the room. I stared at the door, still puzzled. Mingyu appeared in the doorway and looked at me, confused.

"Rosé ran out of here crying, and everyone saw it!" he said simply. "What did you do to her?"

"Nothing," I shrugged. "But I think she's being threatened by her own friends."

"What are you talking about?" he looked down the hall and waved for me to come out, the coast was clear.

"She asked me out, then seemed to want to accept your invite, and then Jisoo's! And yet, she's scared of us," I looked at him as we walked side by side to class. "We have two things in common, the three of us. We're popular, our parents have a lot of money, and a past. Not just anyone wants to get involved with us."

"You're suggesting she has to be with one of us?" he raised an eyebrow. "Seriously, this is kid stuff, let it go."

"The problem is I pushed Jisoo into this and in the end, if she..."

"No," he stopped me by the shoulders and looked at me. "You can't keep taking care of everyone that Kim might like! You have to take care of her, just that!"
