❀ Lisa ❀

Everyone stared at us when we exited the building together.

My worries about her not showing up were unfounded since she was waiting for me at the foot of the stairs. I think my smile couldn't have been bigger. I've never felt so great as I did right there. We walked side by side, without touching or speaking, but she was okay, looking around and smiling at everything.

"What do you want to talk about?" I didn't know exactly what to do, it was a very strange situation because besides not speaking, she usually didn't respond to me either.

She shrugged and kept walking.

I kept watching her dress flutter around her, along with her hair that I wanted to touch more than anything. I smiled. It might be a weird situation, but it was good and I wouldn't waste it.

"Jennie, where do you want to go?" I asked as soon as we reached the village. She smiled and pointed to the candy store.

I smiled and beckoned her inside the shop. We walked through the aisles looking for various candies, but I was stopped by a blonde girl right away. She smiled innocently, her friends giggling nervously in the background.

"Hey, you're Lisa Manoban, right?" she asked, her hands trembling.

"Yes, I am," I confirmed with a smile.

"It's just that... I wanted to know if you... well, if you want to grab something to drink with me!" she looked down, embarrassed.

I smiled. She was the first girl who didn't throw herself at me. She really wanted to go out with me.

"I'm already with someone!" I sighed still smiling and nodded my head towards Jennie, "But... you know, I have a friend who would love to go out with you!"

She smiled weakly and nodded. As she was turning away, I grabbed her wrist. For some reason, I liked her.

"Seriously, if you want to hang out with us on the next outing, we'd be happy!" She smiled genuinely now and agreed, then left with her friends. I turned to Jennie, and she raised an eyebrow at me.

"What? She was very nice, I couldn't let her feel rejected!" Jennie chuckled softly and shook her head negatively, "You're not mad, are you?"

She shook her head and indicated the next aisle. We spent a good while wandering around buying various candies. I paid for everything, of course, and then asked if she wanted coffee to go with the sweets. We entered a bistro frequented by students from our boarding school, all eyes on us. It was embarrassing, but my attention shifted the moment I saw Mingyu sitting at the counter. He was drinking a beer, alone, and very quiet.

"Can you come with me?" I asked Jennie, she looked to where I was pointing and shrugged. I followed to Mingyu and sat next to him, "What happened?"

"Nothing, I just..." he lowered his head and shook it, he knew he couldn't lie to me, "Soo Young ditched me here, seems like she had a date! Seriously, am I that bad?"
