✿ Jennie ✿

That night was the last one Lisa and I spent together. The next day, the theoretical exams started in the morning, and the practical ones in the afternoon. By Saturday, we would already be taking the train home. It wasn't that we didn't want to see each other, but we couldn't be alone for more than five minutes. Exhaustion and worry overcame us. In a way, that week would determine the rest of our lives.

So, when that Saturday finally arrived, I was extremely happy. Not because I was leaving the boarding school and would only return for my graduation, but because I would finally have time for myself and, of course, for her. The strangest thing was that I didn't find her in the cafeteria having breakfast or waiting for me at the entrance. She just seemed to not be at school. I felt strange, as if I were being rejected, as if she didn't want to see me as much as I wanted to see her. I went to the station completely alone, leaving everyone who saw me curious about what had happened.

I got on the nearly full train, dragging my suitcase slowly down the aisle, not because I didn't want to find a cabin, but because I wasn't sure what to think. Why was Lisa doing this to me? I had no idea. Until the night before, we were fine.

"Jennie!" I felt her hands grab my waist and turn me towards her. Lisa was there, more frantic than usual, with a hint of a smile.

"You were getting into the last car! The bathroom car!" She smiled sideways. "What happened to you? You took too long!"

"What happened to you, is the right question!" I retorted, pulling away from her. "Do you know how long I was looking for you around the school? I thought we would at least have breakfast together!"

The smile suddenly disappeared from her face. She grabbed my waist again, but with more care this time.

"I'm sorry! I didn't think you'd be so upset!" She focused on my eyes. "I was too excited about something else and didn't think to tell you I wouldn't wait for you!"

"Good to know now that I've wasted time looking for you!" I got serious, trying to look angry, but I was more interested in knowing what had excited her so much. "What are these things that made you forget about me?"

"You sound like a spoiled little girl!" She smiled, her eyes lighting up, then she pulled me close to her, pressing our bodies together. "These things didn't make me forget about you. Actually, they're for you!"

"For me?" I found it strange; she hadn't told me anything before.

She gave an enigmatic smile and grabbed my suitcase.

"Come with me!" Then she pulled me down the aisle to the previous car. The last cabin had the curtains closed and the door, I noticed when she took the key from her pocket, was locked. But she didn't open it, she just turned back to me.

"Close your eyes."

I hesitated, but she rolled her eyes impatiently, so I did as she said and felt her guide me into the cabin.

"Can I open them?" I asked, a smile already forming on my lips. It was impossible to stay mad at her.

"Wait until I put your things away!" She was smiling, I could tell. I heard a noise, and then she wrapped her arms around my waist from behind. "You can open them now."

My eyes trembled from the low light, but once I adjusted, I was breathless. The cabin was decorated with photos of us in every possible moment, even from when we weren't dating yet. There was even a photo of the moment I hugged her for the first time, putting all my trust in her.

"How did you manage all this?" I asked, smiling and looking at each photo.

"It seems there were already Jenlisa supporters at the school, long before we thought about being together." She shrugged. "Did you like it?"
