✿ Jennie ✿
Yes, I became a normal girl again. I started having friends again, wanting to talk, answering teachers' questions. I got to know my family again. And now I had a girlfriend. Perfect, by the way. Every time I woke up, there was a little note on the window, something like "Good morning, my love," or "I love you." Then a rose always appeared in my backpack. Drawings in my notebooks, or she would just show up out of nowhere for a kiss.
The girls at the boarding school didn't like it at all. Some tried to get her attention, others went for something more dangerous. I got tired of seeing one of them trying to get close, even grabbing her in the hallways. The coolest thing about it was that I could always notice the way they were watching me until I saw what they intended to do. Lisa was nervous about it, but I didn't care. As incredible as it may seem, when I trusted her the first time, I knew she would never hurt me. That's why I hugged her, her, and only her. But she started to get more worried, more nervous every day.
It was almost two months later that I decided to have a serious conversation with her. On the first weekend after the holidays.
"Somi, please! Let me go with you!"
The six of us were in the car. Jisoo and Rosé, who barely spoke to each other, I imagine they had fought. Lisa was weird and quiet next to me, Somi had her arms crossed and was looking at the scenery. Only me, who was in front of her, could see the tears forming in her eyes. Mingyu was practically begging. Seriously, I was imagining him on his knees in that rattling car just so Somi would let him go with her to the appointment. They hadn't spoken properly since the train ride. He had already tried to apologize and behaved like a gentleman always, but Somi was stubborn, like her mother. I just thought she was overreacting now.
"Jennie will go with me!" she was adamant, and as soon as the car door opened, she almost flew out.
"This is not fair, I won't be able to see my son!" Mingyu stormed out after her, furious now. "If you don't want me anymore, if you don't forgive me, fine! But you won't stop me from taking care of my son!"
"Speak a little louder so everyone can find out!" I scolded him, but I felt sorry when I looked closely at his face, he was desperate. "Somi, I can't go with you! And Mingyu is right, it's his child! He has that right!"
"But I..." Somi sighed and lowered her head. "I'm scared, Jennie!"
"And I'm not the one who's going to rid you of that fear!" I got exasperated, why does everyone think I'm the savior of the world now? "Mingyu knows how to calm you down, you two make a beautiful couple!"
"We did." Mingyu sighed and ruffled his hair, then tied it in a half-ponytail.
"We still could if you hadn't cheated on me!" Somi crossed her arms.
"I didn't cheat on you! And I never would! Forgive me, Som, please!" he practically begged.
"Only if you forgive me for what I said..." Somi finally broke down. "I wouldn't want anyone else to be my child's father, and I don't care about last names!"
"I didn't even need to hear that to want to be with you again!" he hugged her tightly. "I missed you! You have no idea how much!"
I laughed at that. These two are hopeless, they love and hate each other. They are perfect because they complete each other. I wished it was the same for me because I'm not sure if it is.
I sighed softly and saw Jisoo and Rosé moving away to the pub, Somi and Mingyu followed a dark alley where we had secretly rented a house to serve as a clinic.
