❀ Lisa ❀
The train had departed two hours ago. I still hadn't seen her, not even from afar, since I arrived late to the platform and almost missed the express. But now that I could look for her, I had to deal with a certain long-haired brunette who wouldn't stop flirting with two silly girls.
He was sitting in front of me, with the two girls hanging on him. He hadn't kissed either of them yet. But my fear was that "yet." If he hooked up with someone else, Somi would freak out, and that wouldn't be good given the circumstances.
"Mingyu?" I called him, my voice taking on a tone of disapproval.
He just looked at me. He wasn't going to do anything to stop it. Maybe he wanted to get with another girl, go back to his old ways, but I could still see in his eyes that he liked Somi. No, he loved her.
"Lisa, relax! I'm not doing anything!" he smiled slightly and went back to chatting about trivial things with the two girls, who were now practically perched on him.
"Kim Mingyu!" I didn't see the little hurricane enter, only realized it when she was already in front of me.
At first, I thought it was Somi, only then did I realize that the hurricane was my girlfriend. That well-behaved and delicate girl had turned into a lioness to protect her cousin.
"Somi saw you here like this." Jennie put her hands on her hips, angry.
"She wanted this," Mingyu replied, embarrassed but confident.
"She got sick, Mingyu!" Jennie dropped the angry girl pose and seemed to sigh, tired.
"Got sick how?" Mingyu stood up, now worried. "What happened to her?"
"She fainted after crying a lot and refusing to eat. You're going to have to talk to her!" Then she turned to the girls, "And you two, out of here or I'll deal with you!"
They were already surprised by Jennie's behavior, and now that the little one had addressed them, the two fled, very scared.
"Love?" I called softly.
Jennie turned to me, her eyes sunken. It seemed that all of this was difficult for her. I stood up and hugged her promptly. Feeling her scent was my bandage, my medicine. She was who I needed and who I had missed so much in those last four days.
"Is everything okay?" I held her face between my hands.
Her eyes filled with tears immediately. Her arms hung limply at her sides, dispirited.
"Did I do something wrong?" I asked, afraid she had reconsidered our relationship.
In my head, while I missed her desperately, she might have thought better and not wanted me in her life.
"These past four days, you weren't by my side and..." she sighed and let a few tears fall. "You know, all this time I was isolated made me feel vulnerable and weak. I don't know if I can face this world without you! It was already hard in those four days to handle the situation, imagine for the rest of my life! It seems that if it's not me, no one else can live! Just because I was isolated all this time, now that I'm back, I'm everyone's savior. I just want to be normal!"
"You're normal to me!" I whispered, pulling her by the waist to get closer to me. "You're my girlfriend, and I would only choose a girl who was her own person and could feel things in the best way possible! You will make it!"
"You promised you would be by my side!" she reproached me, pulling me by the shirt collar.
"And I will be, my love! I will always be by your side, but I will never make a decision for you!" I kissed her forehead. "I missed you, you know? I thought of you every second that passed!"
