Taehyung was dumbfounded, he thought Jungkook was some of rich guy who never had suffering in his whole life. Don't get him wrong, Jungkook was an astounding man, the kindest Taehyung had ever met, always worrying about the other, taking care of him. But this ?... he was a kid when his parents decide to let him handle things by himself ?? how did parents bare to do this to their child ?? this only thought of ten years old Jungkook alone in this huge apartment, at evening, night... No way he was so good at cooking ! seriously ? really ? how lonely he might have felt... this thought brought tears in Taehyung's eyes, knowing how it was hard to be lonely. It made him realize how his feelings for Jungkook were strong, he couldn't bear the sadness in the other's eyes, it was like someone was stroking his heart to make it explode, it was so painful.
When he was sure Jungkook's mother was gone, Taehyung took a deep breath and got out of his hiding place. He found Jungkook in the kitchen, hugging himself like if he needed to be reassured and comforted, and the sight broke his heart again. As he was slowly walking to Jungkook, the latter passed beside him, mumbling :
-sorry, I need time alone...
And he came to his room without more words, leaving a sad and depressing Taehyung. It took some minutes to came back from his thoughts, and even if he wanted more than anything to run to Jungkook to show him how much he cared for him, Taehyung respected his need to be alone. He could have heard some angriness when the son was talking to his mother, so he surely needed to release his stress in his gym room.
Taehyung didn't know much about Jungkook's parents, he heard they were some consultants for the politicians or government, this family obviously was rich and powerful, and that scared him at the point it stopped him intervening when the woman talked like that to Jungkook. Oh, how much he would have want to yell at her that she was an awful mother, that his son needed her, his parents, that she must be ashamed to leave her own child alone because child needed the warm of a mother and father ! how could she do that ?? and bring her son in public school as if he was a normal student, what did she think ?? of course he would be a target, people didn't like to melt with other social classes... But he stayed silent like a coward he was because of the fear he had with the consequences, he could have been thrown in jail or rehabilitation camps, and sorry but he didn't want that.
After having read another book, he decided to cook something for them, something comforting which could bring some contentment in Jungkook's life. He decided for something his grandmother used to cook for him each time he needed to be pampered...
The young man took all he needed to make some crêpes (yes, again, I love crêpes, it's always a comfort food, so...). He was very proud of himself when the last crêpe was in the plate, waiting for being reheat later, when he heard some footsteps. He turned his head to see Jungkook's eyes swollen and red but decided to not point it out to the other but focused instead on make a soft smile to welcome him.
-have a seat, I cooked something for you !
Jungkook looked at him with the widest eyes he ever seen, siting on the stool like he was said to do.
-yeah, I know, I am not as good as you in a kitchen, but believe me, you will enjoy it because it's my grandmother's recipe !
After a while, he took a plate to put the hot crêpe in, with butter and maple syrup.
-tada ! he said giving the plate to Jungkook who couldn't believe his eyes.
