It was almost evening, the sky becoming darker and the stars lighter when Jungkook met Taehyung as the latter was going back to the cavern. He welcomed him with his boxy smile as his lover engulfed him in a tight hug.

-I miss you...he softly whined in the crook of his neck, sniffing him while giving soft kisses.

-I miss you too love, answered Jungkook, kissing his lover as much as the other did.

-Hey, sorry for interrupting but we need to check for tomorrow, Kook ! said Hobbi.

These simple words made Jungkook froze in a second. He was so overwhelmed by his feelings he forgot it.

Taehyung took a step back and looked at him, all frowning.

-what is he talking about, Kook ?

Jungkook loudly sighed, why did nobody have not yet found how to stop time ???? God, he did want right now to come back earlier in the morning while they were making love, unaware of their surroundings, only focused on each other...

-You didn't pay attention to our last evening conversations, right ?

Taehyung tried to remember anything, but Jungkook was right, all he did was to be emersed in his own thoughts these last days...

-we talked about it several times... we need to find another place to be. So we need to look for somewhere deeper in the island.

-who, we ?? asked Taehyung, afraid of what Jungkook was about to say.

-a group. Hobbi, Jimin and Yoongi hyungs, Shany and me.

Ok. That was worse that he thought. Shany and Jungkook ?? Nope. Taehyung wouldn't let this happen ! they were barely encountered, he needed Jungkook beside him, as selfish it looked like.

-No. I won't let you go ! it could be dangerous ! how can...

-Tae, it's just a question of a few days... it won't be long, I promise, I will be back in a second !

Tae was now shaking his head, this couldn't happen to him again.

-I will go with you then, I don't want to be separated from you !

-and I don't want to either ! but it safer here, I don't want you to be hurt or worst, I want you to be safe here.

-do you think I want you to be hurt ??? don't go ! let someone else go, step aside for someone else !

Tears were now continuously flowing from his eyes, his chin wobbling as he tried to not sobbing too much.

Jungkook couldn't see him in this state and took him in his arms, trying to soothe his sadness.

-it would be ok, Tae... don't worry... I will be cautious, I promise. We asked for who would want to come, but the others were afraid, and I understand them, I won't blame them for that. Of course it's scary, but we need to find another better place. And I want you to be safe. I don't want to be far from you, but your security is more important for me. And it is just for some days.

-how do you know ?? you could be gone longer than you think, how will I do ??

Jungkook talked to him for a few more minutes before Taehyung gave up. It was not like he didn't understand the thing, he did. But he wholeheartedly hated the separation. He knew Jungkook loved him as much he loved him, Shany wouldn't have any chance with his Jungkookie. But knowing the girl would be so happy to be with his lover made him angry. But what could he do ? it was not a game they were playing at, it was about their surviving. With a last loud sigh, he whipped the last tears on his red cheeks and bravely smiled. At least, he tried. Jungkook couldn't help but hugged him a last time before whispering "I love you" in his ears.

Both went to the bonfire and sat beside each other. Taehyung tried to focus on the discussion, but it was hard. Fate was hard with them, always making them be happy before making them cry ; he swore he could hear destiny laughing at them, it would be funny to see them to continuously fighting to be together...

Jungkook was aware of Taehyung's condition, he tried his best to take care of his lover, but couldn't ignore the sadness in his eyes.

When they all came to sleep, Jungkook followed Taehyung to his place where they laid down the cold stoned ground. Taehyung didn't say a word but crashed his body on Jungkook's, hugging him in a tight hug, his head on the hard chest while clasping Jungkook's waist like he would run away from him. Fatigue engulfed them late in the night and they deeply fell asleep until the early morning.
