It's been 3 weeks since everything happened. Carina and Maya were back at work but Gio was still refusing to go to school. No matter what Maya or Carina said or bribed her with she still didn't want to go. Her therapist recommended giving Gio some time before returning her to school so Gabriella decided to stay home with her. Carina  had also done the interview and as much as they didn't want to worry about it they new the interview would piss Vincenzo off and there was no knowing what he would do when he saw it.

It was 8 am and Maya and Carina were getting ready to head into the office. As Maya was putting on her shoes Carina was finishing up putting on her earrings.

"Maya!" Carina called out taking Maya out of her thoughts.

"Sorry baby what's up?" Maya said as she looked up at Carina.

"I was calling you for about a minute but you looked out of it..." Carina said as she walked up to Maya.

"Sorry my love I didn't hear you. Did you need something?" Maya said standing up taking Carina's hands.

"I was asking if you could take Gio for a few hours this morning since Gabriella has an appointment today and I have a meeting. Gabriella said she'd pick her up after she was done."Carina asked making Maya nod.

"Yeah of course. I'm sure Andrew won't mind. Have you seen my phone? I just had it..." Maya asked looking around.

"It's in your hand bambina...." Carina said lifting Maya's hand. Maya let out a sigh and threw her head back.

"You've been pretty distracted lately... Are you sure you're ok?" Carina said with a concerned look as she caressed Maya's face with her free hand.

"I'm fine baby... I'm just stressing over the interview. Do you think it worked?" Maya said taking a deep breath.

"I hope so. The interviewer was pretty nice and asked a lot of good questions. We'll just have to wait to see how everything goes tomorrow. But you know what... Even if it goes bad we'll still have each other right?" Carina said with a smile before kissing Maya gently.

"Mhm... We have each other forever. Just me, you and our Bambina." Maya said with a smile before leaning in to kiss Carina again.

"Mommy! Mamma!" Gio said running into the room with her stuffed bunny. She hated being alone and not being around them. That was something she was working on in therapy.

"We're right here babygirl. You're ok." Maya said as Gio ran up to her lifting up her arms.

"I couldn't find you." Gio Said as she hugged Maya tightly.

"We told you we were getting dressed my love." Maya said looking at Gio who nodded.

"How about we help you put your shoes on and you can go to work with mommy for a little bit. Would that make you feel better?" Carina asked making Gio nod excitedly.

"But only for a little while until Zia Gabi goes and picks up va bene?" Carina asked making Gio let out a whine.

Carina decided not to argue with Gio because she knew it would get her no where. All three of them finished getting ready before going downstairs so Maya could pack Gio a snack.

Just as she was finishing up, Carina came into the kitchen with her phone in her hand as she was talking to Andrew. She looked stressed so Maya immediately went up to her.

"How many reporters are there?" Carina said letting out a breath.

"I'm not sure but a good amount. I already told Ben and Dean to keep an eye out for you and Maya since they will have to escort you guys into the office." Andrew said threw speaker phone.
