Maya and Carina decided to stay at the park a while longer. They talked about who they wanted to invite to their wedding.

"I know you don't really talk about this bambina but would you like to invite your mom or brother? I would say your dad but you never had a good relationship with him." Carina said as her and Maya walked by the lake hand in hand.

"Definitely not Lane. I don't want him anywhere near you or Gio if I could help it..." Maya said in a serious tone as she shook her head making Carina nod. She figured Lane was a long shot.

"Ok. Not Lane but how about your mom? Or your brother?" Carina said before they stopped at a bench.

Maya sat down with her legs on each side of the bench. She pulled Carina to sit in between her legs before wrapping her arms around her making Carina smile.

"My mom is probably still with Lane. I think that if I could get in contact with my mom without Lane finding out that I contacted her then I would love for her to be at our wedding. I mean I would have to come out to her first..." Maya said making Carina go wide eyed.

"You never came out to your parents!?" Carina said looking at Maya who chuckled slightly.

"Is that a bad thing?" Maya said amused at Carina's reaction.

"No... Not necessarily I mean I just thought that after we broke up you would have told them. Thats when I told papa and he went practically insane..." Carina said looking at Maya who now had a serious expression.

"I never saw the need to honestly... Lane thought a boy was the reason I was so heart broken. So I let him think what he wanted. Honestly if he knew I liked girls he would've disowned me so quick. I was scared I guess. Which coming to think of it I shouldn't have. Lane disowning me wouldn't have been the end of the world." Maya said looking at the lake.

"I was scared of my papa as well bella but after we broke up I didn't care anymore if he found out or not. I lost you because of my fear of him finding out about us so I told him. He was obviously angry. That was the first time he ever hit me." Carina said making Maya take a Shakey breath before kissing the side of her head.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that my love. I wish I was there by your side. I wish I wasn't so stubborn." Maya said making Carina shake her head.

"It's not your fault bella. It's the people that raised us. Anyway enough about our papas. How about Mason? You never talk about him." Carina said as she laid her head back on Maya's shoulder before Maya smiled at her and kissed her forehead.

"I would love for him to come to our wedding. I just don't know where he's at. The last time I saw him we exchanged some pretty hurtful words to each other." Maya said taking a deep breath.

"Why? What happen?" Carina said before laying her head on Maya's shoulder.

"The last time I spoke to Mason was the night before I left to Martha's house. That night Mason and Lane got into a huge argument because Mason had signed up for art school without Lane knowing. Lane of course was furious and told him he would never get anywhere in life with his pathetic art. That obviously hurt Mason and he took all that hurt and anger out on me. He told me how much he hated me and that because of me Dad would never love him. He said several other things and I told him that maybe Lane was right and his art would get him nowhere. I know I should have never told him that because that was a complete lie. I was at every art competition that Mason was in and his art was amazing. I wouldn't doubt if he was a world famous artist by now. I was just mad and hurt. Nothing was going right. I just exploded. When I went to talk to him the next day he was gone. He took his things and left."
