"Mamma.... Why are you kissing Maya? Is that why you don't love Papa anymore?" Gio said surprised.

Carina instantly froze along with Maya and Gabriella. She didn't know what to say... The last thing she wanted was for Gio to find out this way. She was eventually going to tell her but she was thinking of a way to do it. Before she could say anything Gio ran to Carina so she picked her up. She instantly buried her face into Carina's neck.

"Bambina..." Carina said as she looked over at Gabriella and Maya since she didn't know what to say.

Maya was just as confused and scared at the same time looking at her with wide eyes. Gabriella mouthed to her to tell her the truth before grabbing Maya's hand and pulling her away leaving Carina and Gio in the kitchen.

"Bella look at me please?" Carina said pulling Gio a bit away from her but Gio shook her head no and held Carina tighter.

Carina took a deep breath and went to the living room with Gio still in her arms. After about 15 min Gio finally spoke.

"Is Maya your girlfriend? Is that why you kissed her?" Gio asked in a whisper with her head down.

"Yeah. She is bella..." Carina answered. She decided to just be straight forward with her instead of lying.

"No mamma I don't want Maya to be your girlfriend." Gio cried as she hugged Carina again.

"Why amore?" Carina asked stroking Gio's hair.

"Because that means you're not going to love me like you don't love papa." Gio said with tears in her eyes.

"Of course not amore. Maya being my girlfriend doesn't mean I will stop loving you. I could never stop loving you." Carina said looking at Gio.

"But you stopped loving papa and you told him to leave. Because of Maya." Gio said crossing her arms.

"No bella I didn't tell Papa to leave because of Maya... Papa being here with us wasn't the best situation. You know that right?" Carina asked before placing a kiss on Gio's head.

"Yeah. So you're still going to love me?" Gio asked looking up at Carina.

"Always bambina. You know Maya has been my girlfriend for a little while now and have I stopped loving you?" Carina asked looking at Gio.

Gio was still a little hesitant about the whole situation all she did was hold on tightly to Carina who let out a breath.

"You love Maya right?" Carina asked making Gio shake her head quickly.

"Yeah but.... I don't know anymore." Gio said looking away.

"Bambina..." Carina said as she tried to reason with Gio.

"No mamma..." Gio said hugging Carina tighter.

Carina decided just to let the subject go for the time being. All this was doing was stressing both of them out. She took a deep breath and took Gio up to her room. After putting on a movie for Gio and making sure she was ok she headed to look for Maya and Gabriella who were outside in the back yard.

"She's adamant that I will stop loving her because you're my girlfriend. She's literally so scared." Carina said as she sat next to Maya.

"What, why would she think that?" Maya said confused looking at Carina.

"I don't know she thinks that I also stopped loving Antonio because you became my girlfriend." Carina said closing her eyes and holding Maya's hand.

"Well did you tell her it's not true?" Maya asked looking at Carina.
