My New Assistant

Maya stood by the table of the main meeting room as she had just finished setting up for Carina's Early meeting. She was looking to see if she had forgotten anything but her mind kept on replying last nights events. After their date, Carina and Maya both decided to not spend the night together mostly because Gio was at Carina's house and Andrew at their apartment. Carina took Maya home and kissed her in the car.

Maya was in her found herself getting lost in the memory of their date as she gazed down at the bustling streets below. The little details seemed to be standing out in her mind from the brush of their fingers as Carina gave her the flowers, the delicateness of her hand pressed against her lower back, the nervous glances, stumbling over words. Not to mention the tenderness in the way Carina and her kissed last night. It wasn't rushed, there were no ulterior motives. It was kind of like the type of kiss you see in the movies. For a second Maya felt like they had never broken up.

Carina thanked Maya for agreeing to go on a last minute date with her. In return Maya gave her a soft kiss and said she would agree to many more. Maya told Carina to text her when she got home before getting out and closing the car door.

"Maya!" Gio said as she ran up to Maya taking her out of her daydream.

"Hey love. What are you doing here?" Maya said as she picked Gio up in her arms.

"My school was closed today so I came to work with mamma." Gio said as she pointed at Carina who was watching them with a smile from the doorway.

"Oh well it's a good thing school was closed cause I missed you!" Maya said as she tickled Gio making her giggle.

"I missed you too. Can we watch a movie later on your computer?" Gio asked Maya with her bottom lip sticking out.

That's something Carina would do when she wanted something from Maya. Maya could not deny her anything with that pout.

"I would love that but mamma is the boss so we have to ask her." Maya said looking at Carina.

"Please mamma." Gio said Sticking out her bottom lip at Carina.

"Yeah please mamma." Maya said mimicking Gio and sticking out her lip making Carina laugh.

"You two are impossible. Yes but after lunch." Carina said making both Maya and Gio celebrate.

"Thanks mamma!" Gio said as she got off of Maya arms and hugged Carina.

"You're welcome amore. Why don't you go put your things in my office and I'll be there in a second ok?" Carina said to Gio who nodded and left the meeting room leaving Carina and Maya alone.

Carina looked behind her to make sure Gio was in the office before going up to Maya and kissing her softly.

"I missed you." Carina said after a few seconds.

"You saw me last night." Maya said with an amused smile.

"Exactly. It was way to long ago." Carina said with a pout making Maya kiss her nose.

"You're cute. I missed you too though. I'm also glad to see Gio. I missed her." Maya said as she put a stran of hair behind Carina's ear.

"She missed you too. As soon as I told her that she could come to work with me all she talked about was how she wanted to see you. I'm kind of jealous of how much she likes you. Before it was so hard getting her to agree to come to the office with me but now all she wants to do is come see you." Carina said making Maya smile.

"What can I say. I'm Likeable." Maya said making Carina smile shyly.

"Mmm yes you are. There are so many things to like about you." Carina said as she leaned in and kissed Maya again.
