"Delilah..." Maya said with wide eyes.

"Maya!? Oh my goodness it's been ages! How are you?" Delilah said putting her bag down and instantly hugging Maya who was still stunned.

"I... Yeah it's been a while... I've been good. How about you?" Maya said still holding on to Delilah who was also still hugging her.

"I'm good as well. I just came to check on Martha's cow." Delilah said pulling away with a smile.

"You're the vet..." Maya said running her fingers through her hair.

"I am. Certified and everything." Delilah said showing Maya her name tag before hugging Maya again.

"God I missed you!" Delilah said hanging on to Maya.

Seconds later Gio came up to Maya and tugged on her shirt. Maya instantly pulled away and looked at Gio. She picked her up and Gio whispered in her ear that she was done washing the veggies for lunch. Maya turned to the kitchen entrance to see Carina  who had no expression on her face.

"Who's this cutie pie?" Delilah asked as she caressed Gios cheek making her instantly bury her face in Maya's neck.

"This is Gio.." Maya said with a smile.

"Well hi Gio." Delilah said with a smile.

"It shouldn't take me too long to check on the cow. I'll be right back. Maybe we can catch up?"  Delilah said with a smile.

"Sure.. yeah sure." Maya said as she turned back to see Carina walk back to the kitchen with her arms crossed.

After Delilah left Maya went back to the kitchen with Gio. When she entered the kitchen she saw Carina with an annoyed face. She put Gio down on the stool next to Martha and had her wash a couple of fruits. While Gio was occupied she turned to Carina.

"Baby..." Maya said as she went up to Carina.

"Don't." Carina said sternly.

"Baby I swear I didn't know she was coming. I didn't even know she was a vet!" Maya said as she stood next to Carina.

"I said don't..." Carina said glaring at Maya.

"Carina... Are you seriously upset because I hugged her?" Maya said placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I need a minute." Carina said as she put the dish rag down and walked past Maya.

"Is she really that angry because I hugged her!? I mean what was I supposed to do? Push her away!?" Maya said to Martha when Gio went to the restroom.

"Maya.... Sweet pea... She's not mad because you hugged Delilah... She's mad because you didn't even mention that you had a girlfriend." Martha said making Maya go wide eyed.

"Oh my God.... Fuck!" Maya said finally realizing what she'd done. Seconds later she stepped out to find Carina.

Maya looked everywhere but she couldn't see her. She then remembered what spot Carina said she instantly felt at peace. She headed down to the pond and sure enough there she was sitting on the bench swinging looking at the ducks. Maya hesitantly went and sat next to her.

"I'm sorry..." Maya said not looking at Carina but looking ahead.

"I'm not mad because you hugged her Maya. That didn't bother me what did bother me was that you never even mentioned that you had a girlfriend." Carina said shaking her head.

"I know. I should have mentioned to her I had a girlfriend.... I was just shocked. I didn't expect to see her here. It wasn't intentional my love I swear." Maya said looking at Carina who still wasn't looking at her.
