"You're right. Now I think I'll shoot you and have Carina watch." Antonio said now pointing the gun at Maya.

"No... Why does she have to be here let her leave with Gio." Maya said looking at Antonio.

"I'm not leaving you Maya. We leave together remember?" Carina said holding Maya's hand.

"Carina you need to leave and take Gio... Please Carina just go." Maya said now looking at Carina who shook her head.

"No one is leaving especially not with my kid!" Antonio said looking at both Maya and Carina.

When he saw that Maya and Carina were holding hands he immediately pulled Carina away pushing her on the couch.

"Antonio why are you doing this? Please just let us go." Carina said with a trembling voice. Tears welled up in her eyes again.

"Because I love you Carina. I love you and it hurts that you never loved me back. It's always been her that you loved." Antonio said pointing the gun at Maya again.

"You say you love me but you would always be sleeping with other girls. How is that love?" Carina said looking at Antonio.

"That was only after I came to the conclusion that it was worthless trying to get you to love me. I heard you everytime you talked to your brother you would always ask about her. I know that the only reason you agreed to marry me was because of your dad." Antonio said with tears.

Before they knew it he pulled Carina into a forced kiss. She felt sick. She wanted to kick him and yell, but he was armed and now she feared for her life and even Maya's life.

"See you can't even kiss me back. Why is that huh?" Antonio said looking at Carina with anger.

"Because I don't love you Antonio. You're right I only got married with you because of papa but I thought that with time I would love you back but I couldn't. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't. I can't control who my heart decides to love." Carina said with new tears in her eyes.

Maya was listening to everything. She wanted to jump on Antonio when she saw him kiss her but he had the gun pointing to Carina's head and she didn't want to risk anything.

"You can marry me again and I could make you love me." Antonio said with a smile.

"I'm not going to marry you Antonio. You have to let that go. It's not happening." Carina said shaking her head.

"What if I killed Maya? You won't have anyone else to love but me and Gio." Antonio said pointing the gun at Maya who closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"That would only make me hate you more than I already do. You would also be in jail for the rest of your life Antonio." Carina said wiping her tears.

"Mamma!" Gio called.

"Bambina it's ok just stay there a few more minutes bella you are safe ok!?" Carina called back.

"Ok." Gio Said crying.

As soon as Carina turned around she saw that Antonio had the gun to Maya's head but before he pulled the trigger there was a gunshot coming through the window making both Maya and Carina scream as well as Gio.

"Maya!!" Carina screamed thinking it was her that was shot. She quickly saw Antonio fall to the ground with a gunshot wound on his head.

Maya stayed shocked for a few seconds but then she saw the look of terror in Carina's eyes and she ran up to her.

"Hey,hey, hey! Look at me Carina you're ok my love. It's all over baby. You're safe. We're safe." Maya said as she hugged a now crying Carina.

"He..." Carina said still shocked as she was looking at Antonio's lifeless body on the floor. Maya grabbed her and turned her around so she wouldn't have to see that.
