"Think about it Carina. Do you really want Maya dead? If you love her as much as you say you do you would do what it takes to keep her alive." Vincenzo said before driving away.

Once Vincenzo left Carina didn't know what to do. For a second she did think that the accident did seem a little weird especially since the driver that hit Maya just left but she didn't think to much of it. She was more focused on Maya. Now it all made sense.

"Carina!?" Maya called out from the car. She quickly dried her eyes and walked twords the car before she opened Maya's door.

"Hey ready to go inside?" Carina said trying her hardest not to think about what Vincenzo just told her.

"What did your dad want? Are you ok?" Maya said holding Carina's hand.

"I'm fine. Come on let's get you inside. I'm sure Gio is dying to see you." Carina said as she tried to fake a smile.

"Baby... Hey look at me... I know your upset. I can see it in your eyes my love. Tell me what he told you. Please?" Maya said holding Carina's hands as she took a deep breath.

"Same thing he always tells me  bambina... How I'm a disappointment to the family and how much he hates the person I become. I heard it a million times before I just don't know why I keep letting it get to me..." Carina said with her voice cracking.

"You have a right to feel upset. He's your dad so it's normal. I'm sorry you have to deal with that my love." Maya said looking at Carina who had teary eyes.

"I know me too. I wish life was just easier." Carina said taking a deep breath.

From the corner of her eye she could see that Andrew was looking at her intently.  Carina gave him a knowing look making him roll his eyes and nod.

"It will be. Now that everyone knows about us we don't have to worry about hiding anymore we can be a real couple. Who cares what your dad thinks right? We can deal with him." Maya said making Carina smile and nod.

"I love you bella. I'm so happy you're ok." Carina said as Maya caressed her face.

"I promised you I wasn't going to die and I meant it. I might have been high on morphine but I know what I said." Maya said making Carina laugh a bit before leaning in for a kiss.

After a few seconds they decided to head inside to see Gio. Andrew helped Maya out of the car while Carina held on to her other hand.

"Mommy!" They heard Gio running down the hall when she heard the front door open.

"Careful amore you're going to trip and fall!" Carina called after Gio who payed no attention to her.

Just as she was about to jump on Maya to give her a hug Andrew grabbed her so she wouldn't end up hurting her.

"Careful munchkin.... Mommy's hurt we have to be careful not to hurt her ok?" Andrew said making Gio nod and look at Maya.

"Sorry mommy." Gio said with her arms behind her back.

"It's ok my love how about I sit and you can come cuddle me..." Maya said with a smile making Gio nod.

Carina and Gabriella helped her sit on the couch. Second's later Gio was by her side hugging her.

"Does it hurt?" Gio Said in a whisper looking down at Maya's leg.

"Only when I don't take the medicine to take the pain away." Maya said as she gently scratched Gios head.

A few more questions later and Maya noticed how Gio went quite. Carina also noticed and looked at Maya with a knowing look.

"What's on your mind my love." Maya said caressing Gios head.
