"I love you too..." Maya said as they pulled away.

Carina smiled softly caressing Maya's face before mouthing I love you more. Before she knew it Maya had pulled her in for a kiss. The kiss was slow and calm. Both of them poured everything they had in that kiss.

"I don't want to lose you. I don't want to lose what we have..." Carina said as she pulled away from Maya.

"Carina... I... I don't know if I can trust you again.... How do I know that you aren't just going to run off again... I love you carina I do but I can't go through that again...." Maya said looking away from Carina.

"I know.... I know I lost your trust bella but I want to try and earn it back..."Carina said holding maya's hand.

Maya wanted to trust that Carina wouldn't run again but she still had her doubts.

"What happens if your dad comes back. How do I know that the next time he's here you're not going back to Antonio... Carina I...." Maya said as she let go of Carina's hand before grabbing the wine bottle and walking into the living room.

"Because that's not what I want for my life bambina. What I want for my life and Gio's life is you. The only reason I only considered going back to Antonio was to keep you safe. Then I realized how stupid that was and I convinced my papa not to make me do that." Carina said walking behind Maya.

"The whole thing was stupid especially you agreeing to sacrifice your safety and Gio's for me.... Carina that can't happen again.... It doesn't matter what happens just don't go back to him." Maya said looking at Carina seriously.

"I promise bambina I won't go back to him. I also promise to never let you go again." Carina said looking up at Maya and caressing her face.

"What happens if we do get back together and your dad finds out? He won't be happy about it..."Maya said sitting on the couch.

"He's not going to know about us. He doesn't have to know." Carina said once she was seated on the couch with Maya.

"What?" Maya asked confused.

"Vic said something today and it got me thinking that it actually might work if we play it correctly." Carina said looking at Maya.

"What did she say?" Maya asked before taking a sip of the wine and offering some to Carina.

Once Carina told Maya everything that Vic said somehow Maya looked more relaxed. She wasn't tense as she was before.

"You think it would work?" Maya asked as she looked at Carina.

"I mean Im willing to try... Anything sounds better than not being able to be with you.... Not talking to you or seeing you for those 2 weeks was torture. I don't want to do that again." Carina said laying her head on Maya's shoulder. Maya automatically kissed Carina's head.

"It was. But if it doesn't work..." Maya said taking a deep breath and wrapping her arms around Carina.

"We'll try something else. Whatever it takes but I'm not leaving you." Carina said holding a tighter grip on Maya.

Maya stayed quite for a few minutes... Was she really going to trust Carina again after she left her? Even though she didn't know for sure if Carina was going to leave her again, Maya was willing to take the chance.

"Ok. We'll try it... If it doesn't work out we can always try something else." Maya said smiling down at Carina.

Carina instantly sat up and kissed Maya.

"Thank you bambina. For trusting me." Carina said before taking Maya's face in her hands and kissing her softly.

The kiss was soft and sweet at first, but quickly turned hot, sloppy and heavy. Carina's hands cupped Maya's face as she deepened the kiss, turning it wet and accompanied by small, satisfied noises. It felt overdue.
