"You can't just go do that! You could've gotten seriously hurt!" He was aware he shouldn't be yelling at her but he was frustrated. She had almost gotten herself injured to protect him. "So could have you! Link, you're so stubborn! You can be the hero all the time but when I try to make sure you're protected, it's like a crime!" She was right. He constantly protected her and put himself in harm's way. He was happy she cared for him so much but he didn't want her to be exposed to danger for his sake.
"I don't want you getting hurt! How is that being stubborn?" They were both upset. Y/n knew arguing wasn't going to do anything. "Ugh, you know what? Whatever. I'm not doing this tonight." She turned and went into her room at the Inn. He stood there for a second more before going off into his. Thankfully, no one else was there besides them.
He threw down his stuff and then flopped down on the bed. He threw an arm over his eyes and just laid there in the silence trying to process the moment. Their argument had upset him but all he wanted to do was fix it. He just wasn't sure how to do that right now. He groaned and rolled over to lay on his stomach. 'How am I gonna fix this now...'
It may seem strange he's always fixing things between them but there have been instances where she's the one having to figure out what to say to apologize and make things right. It's just usually that Link is stubborn.

Earlier that day they decided to go out for a ride in Hyrule Field. While they were enjoying their time, some monsters came at them. As they fought them off, one was sneaking up on Link. Y/n went to attack it. She was about to finish it off when a monster came up on a boar. She killed the one in front of her and then pushed Link out of the way so he wouldn't get hit. She was lucky he grabbed her tunic and pulled her down or else she would've gotten hurt. The arrow flew past them and he rolled them over. He gave her a look telling her to stay where she was. He shot the monster with a couple of arrows, finished it off, and then came back over to her.
He helped her up and his expression said it all. He was pissed. Then, the argument ensued.

A thought popped into his mind and he quickly rolled over and sat up on the bed. He gathered his things and wrote a note for her. He left the note on her door and walked out.
He left in the direction of Zora's Domain. Once he reached it, he braced himself for the cold and then headed off to Snowpeak. As he walked through the snow, the memories of him coming through here as a wolf came back to him.
He always did wonder how Midna was, he missed her. She was a good friend. He missed having someone by your side no matter what happened, something he finally found again. The issue now is that he goes to extraordinary lengths to make sure Y/n is safe and happy. To anyone else, they might assume he's in love with her as he seems to go to great lengths for her. To him, however, he's just keeping his friend safe and keeping her smiling.

Leave it to the Hero of Twilight to be incredibly oblivious of his own feelings.

Finally arriving at the Mansion, he walked in and greeted Yeto and Yeta, then asked for a small favor. "You want soup? Okay, I make soup!" He was going to get her some of the soup they had when they first were at Lake Hylia together. It was there that he felt closest to her. He thought it was then that he could feel everything was going to be okay.
Once he got his soup, he bid them goodbye and made his way back to her. It took him a while but he made it back. There she was, outside the inn. Looking extremely pissed off. She had her arms crossed and she was leaning against the wall with a scowl on her face. When she spotted him, he felt a chill go down his spine. 'She's scary.'

"A note? Seriously, a note? Are you insane?" He sighed and walked to her. "Link, you're over here all 'oh you can't go off on your own blah, blah, blah' but you can go off on your own?" She was definitely upset. He just sighed once more and grabbed her arm. He dragged her inside the inn while she protested. "Hello? Let go!" He released her and she glared at him. She began to open her mouth to scold him again but stopped when he reached into his bag and took out the soup. He smiled at her change in reaction.
"Okay, maybe I'll let it go...for now." She took the soup from his hand and walked to her room. She shut the door and he just stood there, with his stupid
handsome smile.
