Hope POV:

As much as Dad and I wished to watch Desire be punished, we were not invited to the show. I sincerely wish that it was brutal and bloody. We stopped in the Mystic Grill on our way out, sharing drinks and garlic fries. There was a football player eyeing me from the tables, we could hear him talking to his friends about how hot I am. "One more word and I'll slit their throats." Dad said, tossing a fry in his mouth.

"Come on, we don't want to clean up a massacre, and I don't want to piss off Death by killing a bunch of dumb kids." I responded, grabbing his arm to stop him when the boys kept going. "Go wait in the car. Take the bottle with you, I'm driving." I continued, pulling a bottle from behind the counter, pushing him toward the door. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and when I came out one of the boys approached me.

"Listen kid, not interested. You should date someone your own age. I know I look young, but it would be super illegal if we dated." I told him, shooting him down quickly and leaving immediately after. As I sat in the car I saw a man watching me from across the street. "Do you know him?" Dad asked. "No. Let's see if he follows us, he'll be in for a rude awakening coming on our turf." I responded, whipping the car backwards and doing a 180 to get the fuck out of Mystic Falls.

"I will destroy the world and then I'll kill you." I heard in my mind. I slammed on the breaks, causing cars to swerve around us. "We don't have time to go home, he's talking to me in my mind." I said to Dad as I started driving backwards into town. I came to a hard stop and we jumped out of the car. We looked around, looking for the man. "DEATH, ANYTIME NOW!" I shouted, standing back to back with Dad.

We heard the swooshing of wings and turned to see Death in her black leather glory. "Yes, Ms. Mikaelson? What can I do for you now?" She asked. "I'm sorry to take up your time, but a man is threatening to destroy the world. Can you please help us find him?" I asked her. I shared the image of the man in my mind with her. "I'll be back in a tick." Death answered, flying off faster than we could see. "She's understated and terrifying at the same time." Dad said, looking at me.

"Keep your guard up. I don't know who the fuck we are dealing with." I responded, looking around quickly. I could hear the town bell ringing in the distance. "Oh shit! I know who we are dealing with." I said, smacking my hands on the car. "Who is it?" Dad asked. "Arcadius, Cade. The world's first psychic. He runs Hell. You are sitting this one out." I answered. "Like hell I am!" Dad responded, getting in my way.

"Don't make me force you, Dad." I said firmly. "I'm not leaving you to fight the Lord of Hell." He responded. I gave him a hug, holding him tight. "I'm sorry, Dad. You left me no choice. Ad Sonum." I chanted, knocking him out in my arms. I quickly placed him in the backseat of the car. "I'm sorry." I said to his unconscious form. I looked around once more, now knowing who I'm facing. "Where's your Dad?" Death asked me.

"Unconscious in the car. I know who we are dealing with, did you find him?" I asked her. "Yes, he keeps disappearing though, teleportation." Death answered. "His name is Arcadius. He's the Lord of Hell." I told her. "I very much disagree with that. I think it's time I whistleblow to Lucifer about a rogue Lord." Death responded. "I thought this world was safe from Lucifer." I said.

"Lucifer has no ability to set foot in this realm or mess with it in any way. But they can have their foot soldiers come to collect new prisoners." Death replied. "Thank you, Lady Death. I don't know what title you prefer." I said. "Your Majesty works nicely." She joked. "You'll need this if he comes at you before one of the collectors come." Death continued, handing me a blade made from bone. "Thank you, your Majesty." I said, giving a dramatic bow.

"Good luck." Death responded before vanishing once more. I opened the car door, waking Dad back up. "Did you do it? Did you kill him?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "No, Death is ratting on Arcadius to Lucifer the Endless, sibling to Death and Dream. Lucifer will send soldiers to come and collect Arcadius." I answered. "How long was I out?" Dad asked, moving to sit up front.

"About fifteen minutes, nothing interesting happened." I said. "How could you knock me out while we were in danger? What if something happened to you?" Dad asked, scoldingly. "I would willingly throw myself in front of any danger we may face. As the strongest and most powerful member of our family it is my responsibility. I will always see that you all are safe." I said calmly. "It's the parent's job to protect their children. You have to learn to let us help you." Dad replied.

"I didn't exactly have the opportunity to learn that, causing Mom's death and then you sacrificing yourself with Uncle Elijah really fucked me up. I made a lot of bad choices before and after that, hindsight is 20/20, and I was given an opportunity to fix a lot of mistakes. I won't let anyone, including you, interfere in our family's survival. You and I are headstrong, quick to anger, and Alpha's in our own right. At some point, you have to learn when I'm right." I retorted.

He grumbled in his seat, but didn't argue back. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" Arcadius boomed in our minds. "I had someone call your boss. They are PISSED!" I said in a singsong voice. Dad and I watched as Arcadius marched toward the car across the field in a rage. I held the bone blade tightly in my hand, getting ready to step out of the car. I then saw two glowing orange circles open in the ground behind him and two Demons rushed out, tackling Cade to the ground.

"How is nobody else seeing this?" Dad asked. "Humans can't see the Supernatural relating to the Endless like we can." I answered. "Get off me! I command you!" Cade shouted trying to free himself from his captors. "Portraying yourself as the commander of Hell? The Lightbringer  is not pleased. You'll be coming with us." A female Demon said, dragging him by his foot through one of the orange circles.

"Looks like I won't need this. Best to just hold onto it though." I said, placing the bone blade in my bag. "Home?" Dad asked, opening the bottle I gave him. "Home." I responded, turning the car on and heading South for New Orleans. "So much bullshit in just a few hours." Dad said, smirking. "Our lives are always going to be hectic, might as well enjoy the ride." I responded. "Let the blood pour like wine." Dad said, continuing to drink.

8 Hours Later...

"Do you ever miss your first world?" Dad asked. "No. With all the lives I've saved it makes up for all that I lost. We have Henrik, all of us are relatively happy. I think I'll always feel like something is wrong. Probably just the paranoia." I answered, coming to a stop outside the Compound. "Time for a feast." Dad said, getting out of the car and heading toward the Night Crawler's buffet. I found many of my Hybrids in the streets, enjoying the music and the nightlife.

Lizzie and Josie were with them, protected, and enjoying their time. Josie was the first to see me, letting Lizzie know I was there. "Hope! Where have you been? Have you ever heard of texting back?" Lizzie demanded in rapid fire. "I was dealing with Desire the Endless, Morpheus and Death came to my aid. I then had to deal with Arcadius, but Death called in to Lucifer, they sent soldiers to take him back to Hell. I have this now in case he comes back. Now, let's get some drinks, I've been driving for hours." I responded.
